moving right along. Will probably post on odd number days until we get out pages up and running for the month.

This time Gwen learns of some fame.

I suppose people do naturally leave out unnecessary words when speaking casually, though I'd have gone with "Fans? You came to see me?" "Since you are fans, do you wanna buy a copy of the book I'm promoting?" "Actually, I was more interested in getting a print." and "Do you have prints of you in cosplay?" Maybe the next printing of the book will have a cosplay cover, suitable for signing at such events...

Mr. Domino

"The book I'm promoting" may come back to bite her. She didn't say 'my book', she said 'the book', which loses her sense of ownership over it and pushes her farther away from being an artist and the last connection to the previous reality. How long until someone else called 'Ken North' shows up or the booth and book change to be someone and something else entirely?

What I'm wondering about is Gwen's fans. Were they regular goers to ComicCon or has the spell just pulled them out of nowhere? Will Gwen suddenly have 'knowledge' of what they are talking about or does she just stumble through this as she has so far?

I'm notoriously casual in my language. Leaving out "I" is probably one of the most common things I do only to add it back in later. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm just going to look coy and say, "I'll never tell"

At this point it's a sign that the spell is doing alot more than changing her. It's expanding out more and more. Hasn't seemed to effect her mind too much yet.

Aw. I feel so bad for Ken/Gwen. Sure, she's got some fame, but it's not for her book. Nobody seems interested in her book. They seem to just want sexy cosplay pictures of her. Makes me wish I was there, so I could buy her book. Even ask her to sign it too.

Alex Smyth

Dammit, Ken/Gwen. You supposed to watch what you say. *sigh*

Mr. Domino

But here's the thing, if you were in this comic, would you even know to buy her book given how the magic is altering reality AND minds? What would make you still want to buy the book, not knowing (and through her own fault by not clarifying that it is her book) it is her book and not just some random dude's? In this reality, so far she's famous because she's a sexy Instagram cosplayer. You'd know her for that and probably would go to said booth to see her for that reason, not to buy some random graphic novel from someone who isn't famous.

Alex Smyth

If I were a character in this comic, I wouldn't go that table because she's a sexy Instagram cosplayer. I'm not really into professional/Instagram cosplayers. Not really interested in that. What I would notice, though, is a woman in cosplay looking sad and upset trying to promote a book no one is buying because the con goers are more interested in prints of her in a sexy outfits than the book she's trying to help sell. Also, while I'm not a huge comic book reader, I am interested in checking out new books I might like and get interested in. So I would actually go to that table to be a friendly face in her day, actually buy the book she is promoting and not be there to ogle her and ask for sexy pictures of her. Though, to be fair, I wrote that comment, thinking from the perspective of a reader of this comic and not as a character of this comic. I just feel so bad for Ken/Gwen. She wanted to be woman, but not like this. Not some sexy Instagram cosplayer. This "Gwen West" she's become was just a cover story she came up with to explain who this strange woman is that had no ID and just show up out of nowhere at this con. I just feel so bad that Ken/Gwen can't reverse what's happen to her and is stuck like that.

Re-reading Mr. Domino's comment here and now I hope that a new version of Ken North shows up. Like how Ken North looked before he took the potion and the spell started changing him. At least this way, Ken North and his life won't be erased. This new Ken North will also want to be woman and maybe be able to be the woman Ken North actually wanted to be, Kendra North, comic artist/writer, and not a sexy Instagram cosplayer.
