Jackary Archives Day 176 - Summer Rosetta (Granblue Fantasy) (2020) (Patreon)

Today's Archives post is Rosetta from Granblue Fantasy, wearing a cute summer swimsuit!

ARTIST NOTES

I don't have NSFW versions of this drawing, but that being said, it's probably new content for most of you, since I've rarely ever reposted this!

Aside from being a relatively obscure character (relative to my following and their tastes), this was drawn at a time where I was juuuuuust right around the corner of "figuring out" how to draw faces, but not quite there yet. This picture reflects the limbo I was in where I couldn't quite figure out if I wanted to commit to anime or semi-realism.

It's not an awful face, but given how the rest of the piece is quite lovely in its rendering, it doesn't feel up to par and it brings the piece down for me. As I look at it right now as a more experienced artist I can instantly identify several things I would do differently with the face if I were to draw this today.

Still! Maybe there are some Granblue fans (or ass fans) who will still appreciate this drawing. Again, aside from the face that I'm not a huge fan of, I'd say the rest of it holds up pretty well! Arguably one of the better booties I've drawn.
