A player beyond the fourth wall sets the difficulty to Lunatic on their first playthrough, causing the Shadow they encounter this time to quickly wipe out the entire team. Although the player can load a save file into another timeline where nothing happened, in this abandoned timeline, Mitsuru Kirijo decides to stay behind alone to cover the team's retreat, facing this abnormally powerful Shadow.
