I’ll be posting Top Gun tomorrow!! What do you guys have to say about Mission Impossible since this channel is about Shanelle trying action films 😂😂

Comments

Keenan Bartlome

The first 4 are pretty good, not amazing. But 5 and 6 are pretty incredible. Really great action movies and would be a fun series on the channel.

Paul Cox

Don't love em. This is awkward, because I genuinely like Tom Cruise, but Top Gun and M:I are his big misses for me so this is a pretty rough patch lol.

Bill Staley

Enjoyed the first 2. They steadily got worse as the series went on.

Kevin Hooper

I say go for it. They’re all full of big action goodness.

Sean O'Hara

I wouldn't mind you working your way through MI, but I'd prefer it to be a once a month thing than all in a row.

Dan McAlister

Definitely. First one is excellent, 2 and 3 are good, but 4 and 5 are the best. You’ll love them.

Shaun2342!

They are great do it

RocktSurgeon

I guess I should get around to watching those, then. I got bored with it and lost interest around 4 I think, but willing to give it another shot since I have heard good things before.

David Crabtree

Mission Impossible would make for fun reactions, but if you're going to delve into the action genre, I'd personally like to see you tackle a wider range of films. Maybe do a bunch of stand alone action films versus diving into one specific franchise. Some possible recommendations: Armageddon, True Lies, The Rock, Con Air, Demolition Man, The Rundown, Face/Off, Bad Boys.

matt

Hell, yeah!

Alan Kobb

Yawn... Why not Bond? Why not Bourne? Why not Jack Ryan? Mission Impossible? Yawn. Just Yawn. It's the action series that they created because Tom Cruise wanted to be an action star and Tom Cruise can have anything that Tom Cruise wants. What Patreon tier lets me forbid you from watching a movie? If there is one, I'd like to consider joining that tier because I feel very strongly about this. :-)

Keenan Bartlome

If we’re going standalone, I think more modern action movies are far more interesting than 80s/90s. John wick, the raid redemption, mad max fury road, sicario, baby driver, tenet to name a few recent ones.

Keenan Bartlome

Hard disagree, 1 is okay, but 2 is the worst in the series, and the sequels after 2 get steadily better with 5 and 6 being 2 of the best action movies ever made.

daniel j brooks

not crazy about them. I stopped going to see them after I think the third one.

Elliot Nesterman

They're full of action, but the plots are not as interesting as others that have been suggested. "The Fugitive" "The Hunt for Red October" "Leon: The Professional"

Jason Chirevas

They’re definitely worth seeing. As are the three movies mentioned above. THE FUGITIVE is probably the best American action movie of the 90s and the best TV adaptation ever.

Paul Cox

M:I is big and bold and ultimately hollow on the inside. You won't give af about any character, hero or villain. Things like The Fugitive or the (original three) Bourne films are full of action and suspense but also intimate enough to feel like you just *survived* something alongside the protagonists.

Mike Henderson

I'm a huge Tom Cruise fan. His best Movies are not his most popular movies. In the 80's you have Taps, The Outsiders, Cocktail, and Rain Man. 90s Far and Away(my wife and I saw that on our first date in high school), Jerry Maguire, The Firm, Interview With a Vampire, and A Few Good Men. All of these movies are better then MI. Hell War of The World's and Edge of Tomorrow are better action flicks then MI. Sorry I watch way to many movies.

David Crabtree

That's the beauty of movies. We all have different tastes. I prefer the action movies of the 80's and 90's.

Jake McNulty

Not a fan of the Mission Impossible franchise, but I am a fan of Brian De Palma who directed the first one. In my opinion most De Palma films are worth watching.

Jason McNeil

I never had any interest in the Mission Impossibles because I felt like these movies were going to be all about what crazy stunts can we do, and then try to top them in each of the sequels.

My Ex Boyfriend

They are ok. Good first watch but not repeatable.

Casey Walker

Mission Impossible is a pretty uneven series. The first three are decent to bad (2 sucks), but 4,5, and 6 are all great. You should also check out some Paul Verhoeven films for some good action. Robocop, Total Recall, and Starship Troopers are all pretty bonkers and also have some cool social commentary.

Nick Parker

The first one is a true espionage thriller, two is...a little wacky but kinda fun, three they awkwardly try to begin world-building but the stunts and set pieces keep topping themselves. You have probably heard that Tom Cruise is famous for doing his own crazy stunts.

Vince

Have you seen any other Brian De Palma movies? He did the first MI, that one is still my favourite is that series. I went through basically his whole filmography last year, highly recommended! Body Double is probably my fav of his.

Paul Cox

Blow Out is so good that even John Travolta can't mess it up.

John Rando

They’re all fun. None are terrible, don’t listen to those who hate some and love others. Each film is a director’s take on what Ethan Hunt and his impossible team should be. Each film is different. Definitely an exercise in filmmaking when it comes to different interpretations of a character for auteurs. All are blockbuster theater experiences. Tom Cruise delivers in every one.

John Rando

Sounds like fun! Oh, and add spies… spies versus spies. Now you’ve got a blockbuster.

John Rando

I heard no criticism about the movies, only Tom Cruise. You one of those guys?

Nick of Time

The Mission: Impossible movies are all pretty solid. 👍🏻
