In one of our occasional system-neutral crossover articles with our sister publication, TRAILseeker, these four random encounters focus on roleplaying and problem solving over combat. Baby Monsters, The Tag Along, The One That Got Away, and Snake Oil Salesman present the adventurers with moral and practical dilemmas. And with that, we close out 2015! Happy New Year, folks, and we can't wait to launch the first part of The Holdenshire Chronicles next month!

Love it! These are very helpful for my campaign style. Would definitely like more of these. What would be even better is if you had just one or two per article but a little more flushed out. I would like to see future Random Roleplay Encounter that a little more complex. For example, I would love to see an equivalent of mini-mysteries for roleplay encounters.

These are great, and I think the length is perfect as-is. Juuuuust enough to get the gears turning and leave plenty open.

I absolutely loved that 3rd encounter at my table. My player's paladin had a chance to shine while our comedic rogue was able to make jokes and swipe a coin purse.

Very good ideas! Too bad the art on the first page is obstructing the first few lines of text.

The 4th encounter is going to be perfect for my group. So much more interesting of an encounter on a caravan drive to have someone pop up like that rather than a random battle.
