Hey everyone, if you do not live in philly or follow philly news we unfortunately had a tragic bike death on Wednesday this week, where a driver murdered a cyclist in the bike lane well she was going to work. It was so obviously because the driver was just impatient and it could have been avoided if the bike lane had any protection whatsoever.

So this weekend I'll be working on a quick video for the main channel calling out politicians and the neighborhood associations that held up this specific bike lane from becoming protected leading to her death. My callout video about the Alameda trench will have to wait for next week.

I'm so frustrated with the current situation that it's honestly hard to focus on other work until this is done. If you want some related resources, check out the links below here:If you live in philly and want to get involved, check out this group:https://bikeaction.org/

If you want to read the whole Inquirer Article here's an archive link to get around any pay wall:https://archive.ph/sLV9k

If you live in philly, please also call the Mayor's office and ask for better bike infrastructure:215-686-2181

The schedule will resume to normal after this video is out on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks,

Alan

I can’t believe all that’s been done is cones. Having a hard time believing that the city can’t get a whole truck load of parking curbs to put down until they can bid out the permanent curb in a process that takes 10 years.
