Back atcha! Here’s to another year of telling your kid you write and reacting with panic when he asks to see your story.

I always forget Chris Hemsworth was in Star Trek. Not as much as I’d *like* to forget about Tom Hardy’s role in Nemesis.

Joe, something that always seemed wrong to me in the story has been the S31 signal and how it remained undetected, but I had not thought of a fix around it because on the surface the in-story explanation did mostly work and was the best explanation for 31s invisibility to the Federation. The problem with it is that it never would have remained hidden that long. Star Fleet engineers would have played with other nations tricorders and tested them and compared them to and against Federation technology. The chances of a Cardassian tricorder not being turned on and looked at by star fleet officers on a Federation ship during the war is practically zero. My fix is this, have it work on a principle that no known single tech base can detect it on its own somehow, but Gothic was able to find it when he was combining the schools of thought from other tech bases and creating his own tech (which is what saw though the Romulan bomb). Maybe it is nearly perfectly blended in with other normal background signals in the Federation.
