🌼Spring Flowers🌼 (Patreon)

My local florist finally opened up for the season. I wanted to share these flowers sooner, but I've been stressed lately. One thing happened after another. First a major family emergency, then another, followed by small business complications, and now some personal stuff. Taxes hurt a lot when you're self-employed and just starting out T-T I'm feeling a bit better now though, but I'm thinking that maybe I should start the beginning of SWFTD over. Not the entire story of course! Just Ellie and Grave's initial getting to know each other / early dating phase. I have the whole script written out and I want to see it through. There are a lot of concepts I've never seen on webtoons or in manga / anime, so it might be worth taking the risks.
I chipped away at the beginning of SWFTD while I was working full time 2020 / last year, so the pace was super-fast to compensate for the lack of time. I was eager to move forward to get to the riskier parts of my script because I wanted to see how people would react. I was afraid that if I invested a bunch of time into a slow burn, and then got to a part that really turns people off, I might lose more readers vs powering through a rough draft and yeeting the parts that don't work when there's less investment from everyone. It's my fault that people are confused and can't sympathize with Grave, so I'm thinking I should take it slow in the beginning and just see what happens.
When we eventually get to the risky parts, I can make adjustments based on feedback, and then keep pushing forward until we get to the end. Once I know which parts work and which parts don't, I can revamp it with far better art and writing. I've already improved a lot, and there are still techniques and tools I've yet to master, so I don't mind redoing things. I'm considering trying out the manga page format to give me the option of making physical copies of SWFTD. I would be able to offer more if I have both manga and scroll format to work with.
These are just my musings, so nothing is set in stone. Let me know what you think ^-^ btw, the other pics are of my trinkets and plants I've collected over the years. A few of the catnip seedlings survived!! 🌱
