It's not just societal expectations, it's biological. Becoming a mother, especially for a first time at older ages is incredibly taxing both physically and mentally. For one, you're used to a life without children and many new older mothers find this very hard to deal with. And chasing around toddlers and kids gets harder and harder as you get older. And your best, healthiest most viable fertility window is teens to mid 20s. That's the best time to have kids. You have the energy and health to run around after them all day with the added bonus that you aren't 60 by the time they are adults. It's healthiest for everyone involved. Societal expectations are based on reality. It's unfortunate but reality is often unfortunate.

it seems like it takes longer nowadays for people to feel "ready" for adulthood, but our biology is largely the same. there's pressure to focus on school and higher education, but as soon we're out of school we have to focus on career because of social pressure and the economy, so there's little time to figure ourselves out or even date.

I reread everything while waiting for a new page. This hasn’t anything to do with this page, but i noticed that grave facial expressions vary more/ are more and different in the beginning. Later the face of grave seems to stay more stoïc and serieus. I really like de different faces he makes in the beginning 😍

they're not necessarily talking about having kids together, but that it's crossed their mind growing up. they've put thought into the idea of becoming parents someday, but it's still a vague and fuzzy concept in their future since things do change.

When I see those notes from Ajoji saying the plot is about to turn to darker themes, I immediately start waiting for drama to break my heart... Why can't I be positive like other readers...😮‍💨
