I took some time to analyze a couple of animations by 3d animator annaanon. He has pretty simple loop animations, however they are very natural. I wrote down some tricks that he uses and I want to implement them in my new animation. For example, this is an additional movement of the hands that look like the heroine is trying to choose a more comfortable pose or head turns during the movement and so on. All these little moments make the animation even more lively and more interesting for the viewer.

I also saw a post from artist CalamariCakes, in which he showed how his piplane looks like while drawing the animation. And by this I divided my animation into layers and each individual body fragment is marked with a different color for convenience. I would call it a skeleton of the future animation or animatic.

I also took a closer look at my past animations. Now usually I draw all animations in only 8 frames, but a year ago I used 10 frames and I want to return to this because it gives more opportunities for smooth animation. In the new animation all loops will be done in 10 frames. I also learned the delay technology in gif animations and in order for all my animations to be in the “tricky 50 fps”, I need each frame of my animation to be a multiple of 20 milliseconds (40 60 80 100ml). It's so simple, but before I did not pay attention to it and did not understand why in different editors in my gif file could lose a whole frame.

Learned an interesting fact that gif animations where there is a delay of 10 milliseconds (100 fps) do not work correctly in modern browsers.

I realize the background isn't the most interesting for this angle and will probably change it up a bit.

Also this week, to improve my efficiency, I started recording how much time I work. This is so I'm less distracted by social media and videos while I'm working. So far, the program has calculated that I work 3 to 5 hours a day. I've asked other artists and they too work about the same amount, although I feel like I'm not efficient and need to work more.
