Esteban Watler

This is a first-time read for me. The only Dickens I've read is Bleak House which I had to read for a literature course, so I have little experience with his works. Ordinarily, I wouldn't read anything if I knew it was incomplete because I don't like the feeling of being left without closure, but I'm willing to give it a go. :)

Bleak House is a great one to have as your first Dickens, Esteban! And I'm thrilled that you're giving this one a go! I'd love to know how you think Dickens would have ended it ;)

"This is Dickens by Night." I like that description, Ben. Fortunately/unfortunately, I anticipated this choice last year, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it on my own before I reread Great Expectations. It is, perhaps surprisingly, one of my favorite Dickens now, although Our Mutual Friend remains safely at the top of the list. Anyway, I'm looking forward to following this lecture series, even though Christmas and 2022 are already gone by.
