I know before starting that you're going to love this one.

Louis Chapman

Never heard of this one. All-star cast and missed this one myself.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Hubba Hubba!

Did you notice superman, or that gandalf was narrating?

Dan M

Sadly, I couldn’t find this on any of the streaming services I have, so I couldn’t enjoy the full reaction. But I’ll be watching along with the YouTube edit later tonight. My wife and I are re-living the awesome 80’s with a documentary on the Brat Pack 👍 To all the dads in the PIB community, I hope tomorrow is your version of a perfect Father’s Day!

She IS a beauty!

This one had a supremely evil antogonist. But it is usually from great adversity that the greatest courage comes, and the greatest heroes are born. Their love story just adds to the beauty of their triumph.

Sadly, I’m not fond of this movie. I saw it a long time ago and didn’t like it. My friends and I reviewed it for our podcast a couple years ago, and I liked it even less that time. But, I predict Cassie will like it. Getting ready to watch. Let’s see if I’m right.

I also had a hard time with the scenes with the voodoo doll.

The author behind this, Neil Gaiman, is my favorite. He usually does a sort of Urban Fantasy that can be dark but that I love. He's got two shows going right now, but I'm not sure Cassie will be into them: Good Omens, and The Sandman. If she might like one, it would probably be the former. However, I do have a Neil Gaiman project that Cassie might like that has a huge all-star cast. How's this list of names: Starring James McAvoy and Natalie Dormer, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Head, David Harewood, Sophie Okonedo, David Schofield, and Sir Christopher Lee. It's called Neverwhere. The catch is...this is an audio-play produced by the BBC, not a movie or a TV show. So obviously, it's not for the channel. But I bet it would be right up Cassie's alley. It's on Audible. Just a tip, and also for the rest of the Popcorn in Bed viewers. I can't rave about it enough.

Gandalf narrating was the only positive.

I saw this maybe two or three times around when it came out, and remembered liking it, but had not seen it in many years. This was fantastic watching Cassie react to it, it was the perfect movie for her, and for a reaction video. Great post!

Don

Cassie commented at the start of this vid that it was just a film she decided to pick and that those dont always get the most views but she likes to do that anyway. Can i just say that i love that approach. Too many reactors just chase each other and all react to the same films. Dont get me wrong I enjoy when a poll winner is something she wouldn't normally choose to watch and we see how that goes. But its also nice to watch a fun little film like this now and then. I've dragged my friends to see movies they had no interest in and sometimes they do that to me. Its what we do as film fans.

Carol Rocha

This was a really great movie. Had my doubts but so glad I watched it!

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

At 6:20, on the director's DVD commentary, Matthew Vaughn states that while he was very star struck in directing Robert De Niro, he was even more star struck directing the great Peter O'Toole, even though it was just for one scene!

Mario

It certainly gives hope to lesser known films or movies much lower on the totem pole than others.

Ria Grix

I imagine it’s been mentioned elsewhere about this being based on Neil Gaiman’s Stardust comic illustrated by Charles Vess. But for completionists there is also a little extra ‘Wall’ story written by the extraordinary Susanna Clarke in her book of short stories The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories (also illustrated by Charles Vess), about the Duke of Wellington crossing over the wall to find his horse.

zynjams

so happy you're not influenced by these stick in muds who didn't like this movie. those are folks who are requesting the movies that are chasing away your long time fans.

james sweeney

I've never heard of this movie in my life. 5 minutes in and I was out.

I really like this, and I had never heard of it before! I just suggested it to my wife because I think it's right up her alley also. She loved Ever After and Enchanted, which are very much the same genre.
