As a thank you for our awesome moderators who spend countless hours helping with the channel I wanted to do a little poll of some of their favorites! So each of the 4 mods submitted two movies of their choosing to have you vote on!

Can't wait to see what wins!

Stranger2Reality

Some great options in here! I'm guessing The Prestige will win.

dachen13

Desperate for some old classic Hollywood/Hitchcock films again. 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Dez

The Prestige 💯

Nathan Jasper

Ah yes, the original Prestige all the way back from the year 1006

Brian McGovern

Wow. Did not realise The Prestige was so old. Hugh Jackman is literally Wolverine in real life. That guy is OOOLLLD.

Justin S.

Several good options here. There Will Be Blood is probably a top 5 movie of that decade. CopLand is one of Sylvester Stallone's most underrated films.

Alex Villarreal

I know, I know: they’re not gonna win, but Grace Kelly and Cary Grant got an immediate vote from me.

Bryan Erickson

Never realized Prestige was that far ahead of its time. Although, Wolverine is basically immortal so that makes sense. 😝😝😝 fr Prestige better win.

Just Plain Bob

I’m no fan of romantic movies, but Cary Grant and Grace Kelly are awesome together and Hitchcock is truly a master. So, for me, it’s “To Catch A Thief.” PS: As others have pointed out, every one of the selections is superb. I’d suggest converting this poll from “which one should I watch” to “what order should I watch them in”, with one choice being watched every week or two until you’ve reacted to them all.

Matt

Your mods have some great taste! I voted for almost all of them! Lol

Philip Alan

Wow! 1006? Totally before my time. Still voted for it. :)

Paul Cox

Neither will win, but whomever suggested Sunshine and Copland are now my favorite mods.

Rosario Cicero

It was a tough choice between TWBB and TCAT. I decided to go with the latter because of her familiarity with Hitchcock and her affinity for romance

Mike H

Not sure, that version has to have been hand-drawn, flip-book style :) Probably with ornate coloring by an army of monks tired of copying the Old Testament.

James UK

Of course To Catch a Thief won’t win, but it has my vote.

Michael G

I believe they shot the film on parchment paper ;)

Zane From Canada

It's unlikely, but I hope Copland wins. Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, and Robert De Niro. ♥️

MikeLL

Ooh, I greatly want a To Catch A Thief (Cary Grant, Grace Kelly) reaction and I really really want a Copland (Sylvester Stallones' best performance?). The Prestige would be a mystifying, magical reaction.

Doc Larry/old geezer

Interesting choices. It is good to explore movies that are not so typical.

mikethemotormouth

Well apparently it has withstood the test of time 😅

Mike H

C'mon y'all - show 100 Foot Journey some love. It's been on my request list for years now (and I'm not the submitting MOD)

Scott Macaulay

I don't mind which movie gets picked as long as one is The Prestige.

Shehab Dawoud

‘The Prestige’ is a very good film and ‘Cop Land’ is the definition of ‘slept on’, but ‘There Will Be Blood’ gives you the opportunity to watch a top 5-10 actor of all time at the absolute peak of his powers. It’s a no brainer to me. Sometimes you have to pick art and the appreciation of it over your mere entertainment.

Johnny

The Prestige is a great movie, so I won't be mad if it won. Copland is also really good - too bad it isn't more well known.

Gábor Árki

As most of the times, my picks are the underrated ones of the bunch. THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY is such a fun, beautiful, entertaining movie with a heart. I showed it to my family last Christmas and everyone loved it. It's been on my shortlist for my trivia 5 pick. SUNSHINE is such an underrated sci-fi. And TO CATCH A THIEF has been so long on my list to watch, but still haven't yet waiting for a reaction.

David Collins

1006 was a hopping year, with The Prestige signaling that The Dark Ages were coming to an end. :D

edgecenter

TCAT is a classic Hitchcock and needs to be looked at. Cary Grant/Grace Kelly? 2 of the best. But I can always view it myself. I've already seen it a dozen times.

pinkdino99

Copland - James Mangold (Logan) with Stallone in a non action acting role, De Nero, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and John Spencer (West Wing). You can't top that !

Jason Mangen

Yes, this movie has it all. She doesn’t know what she will be missing. Alfred Hitchcock at his best.

Stranger2Reality

There Will Be Blood has to be in the running for best movie to not win Best Picture at the Oscars (it lost to No Country For Old Men).

Chris Retzlaff

Copland is Stallones second best performance..incredible movie tons of stars

Jens Kristensen

I had to vote for "Sunshine'... really an awesome movie and it still gets better for each time I watch it.

Stranger2Reality

Agreed. Cassie should watch a bunch of these movies, whether they win the poll or not. Cop Land and Sunshine are both absolutely phenomenal films, and I'd love to see her reaction to them.

Shawn Kildal

Easy choices for me. Copland and TCAT.

WestBound

Prestige is my favorite Nolan film

Blake Evans

The Prestige is Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus and a masterpiece. Copland is arguably Stallones best performance. I think There Will Be Blood is also a masterpiece but more advanced level cinema lol. Even I hated it the first two times I saw it. Same with Cloud Atlas (2012) which I hope one day makes it in the list.

Clay F

There will be Blood (2007) is not necessarily a favorite of mine but it is the best movie in the poll, so I voted for it. I would enjoy a rewatch and Cassie's reaction. I also voted for To Catch a Thief (1955) b/c that is a Hitchcock movie I have been wanting to watch -- never watched before. When I was a kid, I watched the Robert Wagner TV series "It Takes a Thief" (1968-1970) inspired by, but not based upon, the Hitchcock "To Catch a Thief" (1955).

RX2904

Ah yes, 90 years before the first crusade was a great year for movies. The Prestige was magical for its time.

Justin S.

Absolutely. It's up there with Saving Private Ryan, Raging Bull, and Apocalypse Now as the best films to not win Best Picture at the Oscars. No Country For Old Men was good, but great. I like multiple Coen Brothers movies better.

Cole Jennett

They did by the 11th century though, so we are good!😂

WestBound

Also it would be nice to have a poll like this for long time subs . Going on 3 ys and never won a trivia 😔

Silver Machine

I’m surprised The Royal Tanenbaums isn’t polling higher. (Even more surprised Cassie hasn’t watched it yet!)

Cole Jennett

The Prestige is obviously going to win, but I believe Cassie would love The Hundred Foot Journey. Voting for both

Henry Graham

There Will be Blood is monumental. Simply a great work of American art.

Stranger2Reality

"I gave you a chance to be a cop and YOU BLEW IT!" Love Cop Land

Bryan Fritchie

The Prestige is the only one I think I've even seen. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mark Majeski

I love Sunshine and There Will Be Blood, but I don't think that Cassie would. I'm going Copland. Great cast. A little underrated.

MikeLL

It is a sublime movie, the cast has Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, but neither of them is the star, the star is the location.

Hades13

The Prestige is phenomenal. Word of advice when you watch it Cassie. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION

Stranger2Reality

There are so many absolutely beautiful moments in that movie. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Mercury." Goosebumps every time.

Marja

I don’t know Sunshine at all (one vote), and I feel like, at least with the channels I follow, Prestige has been done to death, so I added 100-foot journey cuz it’s good but not reacted to, as well as The Royal Tenenbaums cuz it’s good, quirky, and well-acted.

Todzilla

Whichever MOD picked Copland, you are awesome! Casse would love seeing Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta & Robert De Niro all in one film.

Daniel Allen

Would rather have Interstellar (my personal favorite Nolan film and probably one of the best sci-fi films of the last several decades) over The Prestige, so I hope Cassie reacts to that too at some point soon. Having said that, it's hard to go wrong with a Nolan film in any case, so of course I chose The Prestige.

Chris Retzlaff

I highly recommend Copland, absolutely incredible performances. A totally different Stallone

Stranger2Reality

2007 was a loaded year for movies. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and also Michael Clayton were that year, among many other fantastic movies. https://youtu.be/4mWK0mitlT8

Dan M

Yikes! Of the 8 movies, I’ve only seen Cop Land. Arguably Sylvester Stallone’s best acting performance after Rocky and Rocky II. It also has a great cast including Robert Deniro, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, and Annabella Sciorra. Stallone injects Freddy with a ton of empathy, another under dog who you want so badly to prove to everyone else that he is more than the sum of his parts.

ContrabandDonut

Because they're mods and I imagine they put up with an incredible amount of......stuff.....this is a pretty good list. And I threw a vote to lost cause To Catch a Thief.

Mike Lemon

Maybe the "we never watch classics" people will finally be satisfied?

Clayton Johnson

I have to see the movie technics from back in 1006, lol

Stranger2Reality

I think Cassie would like Sunshine. TWBB is trickier, but how can anyone not be absolutely mesmerized by the "entire ocean of oil!" scene. (trying not to give spoilers)

Phil Stubblefield

Dang, you beat me to the sarcastic comment! 😂

Phil Stubblefield

To Catch a Thief! 👍👍 Would 100% rather see a Hitchcock film starring the fantastic Cary Grant and stunning Grace Kelly than yet another reaction to The Prestige (as good as that movie is). #ClassicForCassie!

Jon Johns

I don't know which one of us will start owning up to their choices first, it was discussed to keep it quiet, so as to not throw the vote? But I think once the winner is announced, we'll all claim our choices, maybe? 🤷🏼

Jon Johns

Sunshine is a great sci-fi thriller, look at the trailer, see if it falls in your wheelhouse?

Justin S.

Juno also came out that year and is one of the best teen movies ever. 1994 is still probably the best year of movies in my lifetime. Forrest Gump won Best Picture, but The Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction were also deserving of it. Two other great films to not win Best Picture, but that year was stacked. The Lion King, Speed, The Crow, True Lies, Stargate, Ed Wood, Legends of The Fall, Quiz Show all came out that year as well.

John Sullivan

I remember liking The Royal Tenenbaums way back when - but let's see!

Walter

Interesting mix! I like a lot on that list, but I never pass up a chance to vote for Cary Grant. I'm still hoping and praying we get a Charade reaction soon.

Allan Rumberger

The only correct choice, which of course means it will barely get any votes and finish near last. Sigh.

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

There Will Be Blood (2007) has one of Daniel Day Lewis' most brilliant performances of his entire career! If you watch that, it would probably make you put out a Daniel Day Lewis movie poll, to immediately decide which of his other films to watch next!

Katie Jackson

WOW, I actually have never seen any of these movies. That hasn't happened in awhile. Well, I'm gonna stay out of this one guy's, good luck.

Daniel Karlsson

The Prestige and TWBB gets my votes. Both great in their own way.

Justin S.

Cop Land is definitely one of Stallone's most underrated films. I liked it better than a couple of the Rambo movies. There Will Be Blood is a must see. The Prestige is pretty good as well.

Robert Jewell

You can't go wrong with TO CATCH A THIEF.

Timothy Williams

Come on! Hitchcock! Cary Grant! The French Riviera! Mystery, intrigue, romance! A classic that MUST be seen!

Mike H

Unfortunately, everyone involved was burned at the stake so it took almost 800 years to replicate their process 😔

Todzilla

Yeah I figured as much! I wasn't trying to DOX anyone lol, just saying "you know who you are and yer cool with me".

abraham wilson

This is a strong list. There Will Be Blood would be my choice, but I think Cassie would like To Catch a Thief more.

Chris Retzlaff

Take a look at the synopsis and see if there's one you might like to see. First time watches are fun for everybody

sarCC

To Catch A Thief is terrific, and perfect as a follow-up watch after Rear Window. And The Prestige is right at Nolan's peak as a storyteller and director.

Cole Jennett

The Prestige being “done to death” has nothing to do with Cassie getting a chance to see it. Though I am glad your philosophy gets another vote for The Hundred Foot Journey!

Cole Jennett

I was surprised that Interstellar wasn’t one of KL’s choices, but it’s already on Cassie’s radar, likely more so than The Prestige.

Cole Jennett

The Prestige is basically Wolverine vs. Batman😂

Marja

I’ll watch her reaction, no doubt there. And oftentimes, I like to watch a reaction blindly so I’ll avoid the trailer. But I saw the cast list and it was stacked!

Ike

Copland is a powerhouse of a movie and reminded me why Sylvester Stallone is so underrated an actor. The man can ACT when he’s paid to.

Alex Ch

Mods have got pretty good taste I think. Would be great to see a lot of these make it into reactions eventually.

Ike

Copland is so good. Sylvester Stallone can act when he needs to. Dude has made me cry three times with his acting. - Rocky - Copland - Get Carter

mikethemotormouth

Also written and directed by James Mangold, who I think Cassie has grown to appreciate

Stranger2Reality

It's really unfortunate that it seems like the lesson he took away from that is that he should just stick to mindless action films, as that movie did not do well at the box office and was totally overlooked come awards season. I remember being very excited for it though and went and saw it in theaters and have always loved that movie.

Stranger2Reality

Cassie would absolutely love Charade, no question.

Dan M

I’ve heard a lot about The Prestige, but never got around to seeing it. Its in pretty good shape for this poll, so I’m thinking that will change soon.

Dan M

Same. When Stallone displays his acting chops rather than his goofy comedic shticks, he’s so relatable.

John

To Catch a Thief, so Cassie can get the Swoon Cam back out

Dan M

I think I’m just as interested in who picked what as I am in which movie wins the poll 👍

Dan M

Its got the same vibe as Rocky. A small town unknown sheriff going up against big time, full of themselves city cops, struggling to show his merit and skills. It just never got the hype that Rocky got. Its still an absolute winner in my book.

WestBound

Prestige and There will be blood are in my top 10 favorite movies of all time so some good choices here

WestBound

Same these are both in my top 10 favorite movies

Dan M

Katie, if you like Rocky, you’ll like Cop Land. Same vibe, different setting. So well acted by Stallone, with a stellar supporting cast.

Peter Dillard

Agreed that Cassie will love To Catch a Thief!

Dan M

Van Helsing VS Moses?

John

As usual, nothing but 2000 and up movies, you d think there was no movies made before 1980. Serious shortage of REAL Classics from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Andrew Rose

idk who picked the hundred foot journey and the royal tenenbaums but you're definitely my people!! lol

Tom Furze

The Hundred-Foot Journey looks good and wholesome.

Mac61

I'm not 100% sure, but I checked Cassie's request website and to me it says she has already seen Prestige (2006). Could someone please double check.

Michael Gilbrook

I'm not a fan of any of these movies. I voted for "To Catch a Thief" because it has a scene with borzoi in it.

Mojo One Thousand

Sunshine was going to be one of my suggestions for a regular theme later in the year, so hopefully it gets another shot if doesn't it does go through here.

Ria Grix

Hey where’s Quadrophenia‽?! …. Ooooh ok…. Not those kind of mods. 😂

Stan the Man

Voted for There Will Be Blood. The Prestige should def be a with Carly watch. I can just imagine those two trying to make heads or tails out of that movie lol

Lucien

It doesn't surprise me that The Prestige is winning but I really love The Royal Tennenbaums:) Killer performances, great humor, and lots of heart. My favorite Gene H performance;)

Mark

Soooo many great choices here!

Allison

you should watch the top 2 😉 mostly because i reeaally want you to watch there will be blood lol

Mike H

It's a wonderful film, 100% a Cassie & Carly movie.

YodatheHobbit

Whoever is responsible for Sunshine being on the list, regardless of it's chance of winning. Big props. I still can't believe that NONE of my favorite reactors have watched it.

Choof

2 of the movies are from before 2000, including one from the 50s...

Dan M

How about the top 2, and the 4th place spot…gotta see her reaction to Cop Land 😊

brooke atkins

I have never even heard of most of these films and never seen any of them. So I’m gonna pass on voting since I probably won’t be watching whatever wins. Don’t seem like anything I would enjoy. But good luck and I hope Cassie likes whatever wins here.

Cole Jennett

She has long confused it with The Illusionist, but we finally confirmed that was the one she had seen, and not The Prestige

Richard Maurer

Not a good reaction film, I'm afraid. The plot requires you to pay close attention, hard to do while you're trying to make interesting comments.

Richard Maurer

Pay close attention / film a reaction video. I see a problem here.

Mac61

Thank you

Sarah Frost

I LOVE Sunshine, it's one of my favourite space/sci-fi movies. It's not going to win this poll, but at least Cassie is aware of its existence now. Maybe it might get into a future space/sci-fi movie poll and win that one.

Augustine Lee

there will be bloooooooooooooooooooood

Larry Darrell

Order of Release. Always order of release.

Chris Baldwin

My vote was for "Lawless". A true story, by the way. If there is a comedy poll in our future I would like to put "Death to Smoochy" out there. One of the best sleeper's out there!!

Larry Darrell

When I first saw her mention a “MODpoll,” my first thought was The Mod Squad (1968 - 1973). https://youtu.be/CZiPijyoDGs?si=oGC3VQCo4jXsjUVI I knew that didn’t make sense. I really thought she had seen The Prestige. Well that’s a surprise. The whole list is Terrific. This is just a Real Nice Surprise! Just a Real Nice Surprise.

Stick Figure Studios

Some really good movies here. Honestly, I'd be fine with most of these. The people commenting that they are "not a fan of any of them" just confound me.

Keith Brown

To Catch a Thief perfect Hitchcock movie for you to follow up after you watched North by Northwest and Rear Window as it combines some of the cast from those movies plus we get a trip to the French Riviera as a backdrop !!

K, Zachary

This is quite the list I don't think there is a bad movie on this list. Most of not all I saw in the theater except for To Catch A Thief which is a Cary Grant, Grace Kelly Alfred Hitchcock movie which I gave a 9 on IMDB which I don't give nines. Everything else scored a seven to a eight. Which at 10,000 ratings where my average is six. So my hat goes off to the MODS for a great poll.

Stranger2Reality

Totally curious, what are some of your all time favorite movies? I'm wondering if any of these might appeal to you, and knowing what your tastes are would help determine that. You never know, there could be a hidden gem in there just waiting to be discovered.

Stranger2Reality

I honestly think his performance in First Blood is wildly underrated. Feels like a lot of people write it off as just some Rambo action film, but Stallone is truly great in that, despite having few lines. That, Rocky and Cop Land would be my favorite three performances of his, in no particular order.

D.M. Lipkin

Amazing! I didn't even know that movies existed 1018 years ago! Incredible that Christopher Nolan was able to make a remake of the Prestige almost a millennia later!

John Sullivan

Maybe he made the original. Nolan is obsessed with time and time travel

Chris Thom

Haven't seen Sunshine in a while. That would be interesting. Just remember it being a Danny Boyle movie filmed like a Baz Luhrmann film. Curious if she and Cassie have already seen Slumdog Millionaire. Related/unrelated: She and Carly would love Moulin Rouge.

Chris Thom

Was going to ask it TCAT was the 'fancy location' one but you answered my question. Lol. Was that where Grace Kelly met the prince? Or maybe she wasn't even in that. Don't think I've seen it.

Chris Thom

There's a great documentary about him. Think it was HBO but not sure. He was a major proponent of LSD therapy.

Chris Thom

Sunshine is fun, young, attractive people doing Sci-fi. Royal Tenenbaums is kind of the best, quintessential Wes Anderson before he went totally off the rails with his style.

MikeLL

I think you have to be a Mod to write in one on this poll. 😂

MikeLL

Grace Kelly was introduced to her future husband, Prince Rainier, the year after To Catch A Thief was made, in 1955 at the Cannes Film Festival.

MikeLL

Why skip third place??? I want to see a reaction to both To Catch A Thief and Copland!!!!!

mikethemotormouth

Recommending Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1974) be seen before to give a certain scene better context

Chris Thom

Ppre- 1970 films have gotten low viewership on the channel. Not sure if that has anything to with the decisions regarding the polls.

Chris Thom

I think she likes Wes Anderson pretty well. Hundred Foot Journey I'm sure she'd like.

Chris Thom

So curious if she would enjoy that. Feel like it could go hard in either direction.

Cole Jennett

If you like Christopher Nolan movies, you will almost certainly like The Prestige. The Hundred Foot Journey is a really sweet little movie, but not surprised you hadn’t heard of it

Dioskur

Strange, its the first poll you make that has no good movie on it. And it is full of suggestions of your mods

Craig Russell

Well, four of them gave me really good naps in the theater.

kaiielle

I didn't pick Interstellar because I knew Cassie will eventually get to it anyway and I also knew that it would sweep a poll no matter what it was up against and that's not fun.

Stick Figure Studios

You may want to see a doctor about that. You could be a narcoleptic.

Johnny Bullis

The Prestige came out in 1006? Wow.. thats a long time ago.. didnt know they had movies that far back. :D

Mark White

Wow that’s quite a line up of movies! It’s a shame only one can win! Personally I believe “there will be blood” to be one of the finest examples of acting from Daniel day Lewis and the whole movie to be a masterpiece. But, it’s not a Cassie movie! That’s for sure. Sunshine is also a grossly underrated sci-fi. Good story, great directing and a solid cast with Cillian Murphy a couple of Avengers! To boot. 😃

Story Archer

Considering the audience, The Prestige, without a doubt.

Richard Maurer

I'm a fan of some of them, but not enough to really care. I voted Copland as I think it would make the most interesting reaction, but in most other polls I would probably vote for something else. The Prestige is good, but I've watched reactions to it before and it's just not a good reaction film.

Clay F

There will be Blood (2007) = A To Catch a Thief (1955) = A The Prestige (2006) = B

Anjolie Lanel

The Prestige was intense, but I like a good Hitchcock movie starring one of my favorites, Cary Grant

Wallace Marbach

I didn't actually expect that to mean anything, I voted for the Prestige lol

Jon Johns

She loved Grand Budepest Hotel... 🤷🏼

Jon Johns

I would have added that, but, wouldn't be possible to edit it for YouTube... Musicals are nearly impossible to get past copyright issues. Also, anyone under, say 50, wouldn't be able to relate to it very well. I have considered putting together a "Midnight Movie" poll, featuring such gems as, Rocky Horror, Quadrophenia, and others. What would you add to that list?

Jon Johns

Choof, you left out the one movie from a couple of mellinia ago! 😂

SeanATX

There Will Be Blood is a masterpiece. Not sure Cassie will love it but I’m sure she can appreciate it. Would make for an interesting reaction though.

Mark White

Yep, totally agree. I honestly believe that performance from Daniel Day Lewis along with Al Pacino in ‘Scarface’ are two of the finest pieces of acting you will ever see! Brilliantly directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

Ria Grix

Ooh hmm maybe Northern Soul, Withnail & I, Trainspotting? Northern Soul has the same kind of feel as Quadrophenia with the music and rebellion themes. Saturday Night Fever is quite gritty despite being a disco thing.

John Cranberry

The Prestige is like the worst movie on the planet. Copland is my number 1 pick. Cassie would love to see Sly at his best.

David Collins

Cassie, you should bring Carly along for The Prestige. With all of the Logan/Wolverine love going on of late, the two of you will likely enjoy seeing another facet of Hugh Jackman. Another great Hugh Jackman movie you absolutely must see - if you haven't already - is Kate and Leopold. Full disclosure, it's straight romcom.

Marja

I love Hitchcock like crazy but To Catch a Thief has never been a fave. There are so many more interesting/entertaining Hitch films out there. It’s gorgeous, don’t get me wrong. I’m just a Notorious, Spellbound, 39 Steps, Strangers on a Train, Shadow of a Doubt, Rear Window kind of gal, with a Lady Vanishes and Rebecca chaser!

Marja

Australia v Shaft!

Alex Ch

Well, there is always the film version with Claire Danes and Omar Epps.

Joe M

I noticed hardly no other reaction channel has watched There Will be Blood or The Royal Tenenbaums. It would be awesome if PIP (Cassie) be the first one to watch these two at some point. Would be highly appreciated.

Clarence Newman

Cop Land! Imagine Rocky as a fat policeman with low self esteem and tell me you're not intrigued!
