REPOST-Sorry I accidentally had Eddie the Eagle twice with Chariots of Fire left out, lets try this again!

Here are our top 6 from our other Olympic polls in the FINAL Poll!

In m y head, I thought the Olympics were the beginning of July but they are not until the end, so our themed Olympic week with our podium of movie winners here probably wont be for a little while, closer to the games!!

Go Vote, follow your heart!

Comments

Alex Villarreal

She subconsciously wants to watch Eddie the Eagle…and that’s not a bad thing!

Michael G

Having Eddie the Eagle twice was just your way of telling us how much you wanted to watch the movie..right ;)

MikeLL

Not too hard to guess the winner of this corrected poll! 😂 Edit: I take that back, it is hard to guess!

Johnny

Munich is a good movie, but it's not really an "Olympic movie"..

Tina P

To be honest, I haven't seen Chariots of Fire yet (but maybe I should as it is getting many votes), so voted for I, Tonya, Eddie the Eagle and Richard Jewell.

George Haselden

Chariots of Fire is the one that'll make you wish that you were personally participating in the Olympics, more so than the others.

Chris Retzlaff

Is Paul Walter Hauser in all these movies, lol....just 2 of them

Neil

Tina, you will not regret watching Chariots of Fire. It's an absolute classic, a masterpiece in truth!

Just Plain Bob

“Eddie the Eagle”!!! Then, one day hopefully, its spiritual predecessor “The World’s Fastest Indian.” The ladies would love both movies, true stories about earnest, genuine men that set out to accomplish a dream that they’re told is impossible. Inspirational.

Shehab Dawoud

‘Munich’, apart from being a terrible film, has absolutely next to nothing to do with the Olympics, or even a sport. That’s been pointed out several times. I think it should be taken off. Imagine it wins in a landslide…

MikeLL

This might be a three horse race, but I don't think TONYA can keep up with MUNICH and CHARIOTS, and I don't know which one will win, either! (voted for Tonya)

Chris Retzlaff

It's a good, one OG Wolverine with next Gen Wolverine?.....hopefully

Bill Maurer

"Chariots of Fire" should just be a gimme. Voting for "Richard Jewell".

Michael G

Munich is a good movie. A poignant one for the times when it was released, and especially now. Given what Spielberg and especially Kushner were trying to say with it, might come as a surprise to people. It like others on the list have thin threads attached to the Olympics. As a result, I will be going with Eddie!!!!!

Neil

Have to agree while Munich is a fine movie, its not an Olympics movie at all

Cole Jennett

It got my vote. Mainly because it seems to have the most to do with the actual Olympics

Alex Gorell

Munich isn’t really an Olympic movie. It’s a good movie but isn’t good for this category.

Terry Yelmene

I know 'Munich' is incredibly important as an historic tragedy... and I know 'I, Tonya' is irresistible as an epic scandal... but,,, few stories are as 'Miracle-level-inspirational' as 'The Boys in the Boat'. Wadda say? Give Boat Boys a vote!

Stranger2Reality

Love Munich, but I'm really hoping a movie that's actually more about the sporting aspect of the Olympics wins here.

Philip Herman

Chariots of Fire and Boys in the Boat are the two athletic movies about the Summer Olympics. Munich is a powerful movie and I remember my mom calling me in to watch it live in 1972 when I was only four but she explained something terrible had happened and it was important I see it. Eddie the Eagle is great but should be saved for Winter Olympics. I Tonya and Richard Jewell were both black spots that really don’t have much to do with the Olympics in my opinion.

Shawn Kildal

It wouldn't be the first. I remember when The Reverant won the animal movie poll by the mother of all landslides even though everyone knew it shouldn't have qualified.

Clay F

I voted Munich. My kind of movie. Whether or not Munich fits some arbitrary narrow definition of an "Olympics movie" is moot. Munich is in the poll. I vote for the movie I would most like to see a reaction to. Munich is related to the Olympics. An occurrence that takes place at the Olympics and involves competitors at the Olympics, and the subsequent fallout, is about the Olympics. The Munich tragedy will always be thought of as an Olympics thing. The channel decides on how broad the meaning of "Olympics movie." I still remember at age 9 (in 1972) watching the Munich Olympics when the terrorist event happened and unfolded. Captivating. All over the news. Everyone watched. I associate that with the Olympics -- from personal experience. To me, for a poll of movies having connection to the Olympics, the movie Munich is appropriate for inclusion in the poll.

Silver Machine

I wouldn’t say it has next to nothing to do with the Olympics. The games have always been about more than just athletic competition. International politics are an essential ingredient too.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah, I'm curious to see which one comes in first. Either way, I believe the top 3 will be watched.

Jake Pommerer

Will Miracle occur during the the same time frame as the top 3 or later?

Shehab Dawoud

@Silver Machine Come on, man... In the words of Kobe Bryant: "That's a Bikram Yoga stretch right there".

Michael G

It is related to the olympics, like saying that flying over Colorado means you have been to Colorado. Most of the other movies can at least say they landed at the airport, if that counts as being to a city/state/country.

NSG MMA

I Tonya will be the most fun people. 👍

Just Plain Bob

It’s an odd complaint, particularly since people are applying this criteria to “Munich” but not “Richard Jewell.” Both are directly related to the Olympics and both are superb, although neither is about actually competing in the games.

Stranger2Reality

I'm guessing that's just because more people have seen Munich than Richard Jewell. Both have the same issue though, they're about real life terror attacks that took place at the Olympics and are about the fallout from that, rather than about the Olympics themselves.

Brett Richey

Please let this be I Tonya! It's really the best movie of these... no question. Munich is very boring in comparison as is Chariots of Fire.

MikeLL

Stick, I had forgotten when she said she would watch the gold, silver, and bronze!

Clayton Johnson

Been quite a while since I watched the movie, first thing that comes to mind is the Mr. Bean parody they showed at the opening ceremonies of London 2012.

MikeLL

Well, it will be balanced out with her watching CHARIOTS OF FIRE, plus she is watching MIRACLE!

Walter

agreed

Stranger2Reality

"I believe god made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel his pleasure." Such an inspirational movie. There's a reason the theme song to that movie has endured for decades.

Shehab Dawoud

@Mike LL If that happens, it will be 3 films from the same category in a short space of time. That's too many IMO. That's the "problem" with having movies on a poll that don't belong there. You then have to compensate for it if they win.

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

I've voted for Chariots of Fire (1981), I'm pretty certain if you watch that film you will instantly recognise its theme music. It was scored by Vangelis, the same composer who scored the music for Blade Runner (1982) the very next year!

David Freese

I said this in the original vote Chariots of Fire should just be a stand alone because most people have seen it compared to the others. Very few will have a chance again so please just dq it and watch it like with Miracle. Just my opinion though!

Clay F

I saw no definition of "Olympics movie" requring depiction of competition at the Olympics. The Munich tragedy will always be associated with the Olympics forever. I agree that wanting a narrow definition is a valid point. Yet, merely because a movie does not fit your definition of Olympics movie does not make that movie inapplicable for the poll. It is Cassie's channel (that created the poll) that decides what is an Olympics movie for the poll.

Jacob King

It really cannot be emphasised enough how little Munich has to do with the Olympics.

Carol_White

And yet it's the best movie on this list. I'm not going to be a slave to the theme.

Troy Silvester

My brother competed in Munich, he was the current World Record Holder, and won silver in the discus. Out of 4 appearances it was his only medal at the games. Thanks to small town Utah, my folks were there to see it as well. They were largely unaware of the events depicted in the movie, while there.

Chris Retzlaff

Has Cassie seen Munich already? Or is this just for Carlys reaction? Popcorn request has it already seen.

shaneth138

Munich isn’t an Olympic movie. It’s a bad movie.

shaneth138

It’s not the best movie on the list at all

sarCC

It's kinda wild just how few of these films have to do with the Olympics. How did this happen?

shaneth138

Thanks for ruining the poll.

Richard Maurer

Voted Munich to help it (hopefully) beat Chariots. But Cassie will probably end up watching both anyway.

Robert Baldino

Sorry, but it's not the best movie on this list. It's actually pretty mid, and has almost nothing to actually do with the Olympics.

shaneth138

It’s really an awful movie. People see Spielberg and trick themselves into liking it. If the same exact movie was directed by Michael Bay they would hate it.

Neil

Cassie already said in the original post she is watching the top 3

David Nesbit

Anything but Chariots of Fire.

Don Dunco

Sorta true, but wrong. It's all about the Israeli response to their Olympic team being murdered. Note who got dead. So it IS an Olympic story - in a non traditional manner.

Ria Grix

Chariots of Fire all the way. Just for the Vangelis beach scene alone!

Stranger2Reality

I guess that's the main difference between Munich and Richard Jewell, in that the attack in Munich involved the Olympic competitors, while the Atlanta bombing in 1996 did not (it was targeted at spectators of a late night concert, rather than targeting athletes or at a specific competition or something).

Clay F

Broad definition of "Olympics movie"

Clay F

I voted Munich.

Matt Rose

MUNICH and CHARIOTS all the way. That said, I, TONYA, EDDIE THE EAGLE, and THE BOYS IN THE BOAT are good as well. Haven't seen RICHARD JEWELL.

Matt Rose

TBitB is pretty decent. Utterly formula and completely predictable but well made for what it is.

Matt Rose

Love CHARIOTS OF FIRE.

Matt Rose

Dude, it's your opinion and that's fine. Personally, I think MUNICH is one of the very best films in Spielberg's body of work. To each their own. You seem to be taking this personally.

Richard Maurer

Munich both is and isn't the best movie on the list. It's all just In My Opinion. There is no definitive answer either way. Why argue about it?

Stick Figure Studios

Bay could never direct a movie like MUNICH because he doesn't possess a tenth of the talent, intelligence and depth that Spielberg does. Sorry to hear you don't care for MUNICH. It's a shame but you're entitled to your opinion. Personally, I think MUNICH is a great film. I voted for it and I'm glad it's winnig this poll. Should make for a great reaction.

Clay F

Plus, the Munich Olympics terrorist acts/proclamation/demands occurred at an Olympics facility (the Olympics Village). An ongoing televised Olympics happening. ABC's Jim McKay (one of the best sports announcers of all time) broadcast for 14 hours straight, giving his insight and providing detail to the world. You could see the terrorists walking on a balcony, etc, at the Olympics Village. One billion people watched as the tragedy unfolded at the Olympics. Many heard Jim McKay (ABC broadcaster for the Olympics) inform the world that hopes for a positive outcome would not be realized.

Stick Figure Studios

Sorry. Looks like it's going to be one of the three. I'm glad personally.

Stick Figure Studios

@Carol: I agree. It is the best movie among these, a Spielberg masterpiece and essential viewing for anyone who loves film.

christopher b swanson

unless u have watched.............miracle..............cool runnings................

David

I’m disappointed that Cool Runnings isn’t on the list. Yes, it is the Winter Olympics but it is still an Olympic movie regardless.

David

Cool Runnings is a fun movie which I think Cassie will enjoy. It’s based on a true story set during the Calgary Olympics in Canada.

Dave

Cassie has already seen Cool Runnings, before the channel. She explained as much in the first poll

Clay F

I thought the Final Olympics Poll was going to be on YT? Glad it is here because looks like Munich is pulling away, though I would be okay with Chariots of Fire. Is she going to react to only the winner, or top 2, or top 3? Top 3 = Munich, Chariots of Fire, and I Tonya -- all good.

Stranger2Reality

Which is looking like it's gonna be Munich, I Tonya and Chariots of Fire. If she ever does a Winter Olympics poll, she should include Eddie the Eagle, Cool Runnings and Blades of Glory 😁

Clay F

I never saw where /when she said she would take the top 3. That's awesome. I would be glad to see that. Munich, Chariots of Fire, and I Tonya all good.

Mike Lemon

From the first Olympics poll a few days ago- "Ps-Already have seen Cool Runnings"

Mike Lemon

Problem- "Munich isn't a *real* Olympics movie." Solution- Don't vote for it. I don't know why that is so difficult.

Alex

Munich is a good movie however it isn't a n Olympics story. Only referring to the terrorist attack at the Munich Olympic games.

MikeLL

Clay, in the text where she posted the first Olympic polls she said she would watch the gold, silver, and bronze after putting the final poll on YouTube. She also said she would watch MIRACLE regardless.

Jacob King

It’s actually about 9/11 and how states indulging in violent revenge end up corrupting and harming their citizens. The olympics aspect is entirely irrelevant.

Shanwyn Nightfox

I just voted for Chariots. Not that I think it is better than those without a chance on this poll, but more to beat Munich. That's, at least in my opinion, a thriller very loosely based on true events, not a sport movie

Dan M

Wow…can’t believe Eddie the Eagle is showing so poorly right now. It’s not even in the running for a Bronze medal. Not a fan of Munich as an Olympics movie because its really not about the competition of the Olympics. The Olympics is just a backdrop for the plot.

Dan M

She’s already seen Cool Runnings, and she is going to watch Miracle outside of this poll

Dan M

Get rid of Munich and replace it with Eddie the Eagle. Munich isn’t really an Olympics movie.

David Freese

She’s watched Cool Runnings and in first poll said she’d be watching Miracle without the poll

DAVID COSTELLO

Munich isn't really an Olympic movie.

Andrew Rose

I'm cheering on Eddie the Eagle from the cheap seats!!! ;)

David Freese

On first poll she mentioned that Miracle is a movie she’s seeing on it’s own

Dan M

I believe Cassie’s intent was to acknowledge the upcoming Olympics by watching movies that celebrate the competition and thrill of the Olympics. While Munich is a really good movie, it is not a celebration of the Olympics.

Richard Maurer

And if you do think it qualifies, vote for it if you want. I also don't understand why people have to make this so difficult.

Bennett Holleman

It shows the importance of the Olympics to worldwide goodwill and how terrorist acts threaten that essential goodwill and escalate its deterioration. It is absolutely a *real* Olympics movie.

Clay F

Thanks, Mike

Clay F

Dan, it appears to me that Cassie’s intent was to acknowledge the upcoming Olympics by reacting to movies about the Olympics. If her intent was as you believe, then she wouldn’t have included movies such as Richard Jewell, Munich, I Tonya, etc. in the poll.

Clay F

The beginning of Munich is one of the most significant occurrences at the Olympics in Olympics history. Munich then addresses the fallout of Olympics competitors killed at the Olympics. Definitely a *real* Olympics movie. I voted Munich.

Clay F

The beginning of Munich is one of the most significant occurrences at the Olympics in Olympics history. Munich then addresses the fallout of Olympics competitors killed at the Olympics. I view Munich as an Olympics movie. A movie does not have to be about competition at the Olympics to be an Olympics movie. Depends on the definition of Olympics movie, which is arbitrary. I voted Munich.

Clay F

The beginning of Munich (depicting the terrorism at the Olympics) is one of the most significant occurrences in Olympics history. A massive Olympics story that somberly captivated the world. Munich then addresses the fallout of Olympics competitors killed at the Olympics. I view Munich as an Olympics movie. I voted Munich.

John Casamassa

I'm pulling for the Boys in the Boat or Eddie the Eagle.

zynjams

still wish Running Brave made the list. the story of Billy Mills

zynjams

unless you dont count murder of the Israeli olympic team including Berger an American weightlifter competing with Israel.

DAVID COSTELLO

I think it counts more as a terrorism movie or a revenge thriller.

Joe Mallard

Wish Foxcatcher was on this list.

Bennett Holleman

2h Munich shows the importance of the Olympics to worldwide goodwill and how terrorist acts threaten that essential goodwill and escalate its deterioration. It is absolutely a *real* Olympics movie.

Happy Hanukkah

😑 Munich is a great movie, but suffers from poor casting. I have trouble accepting Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, and James Garner as Olympic athletes.

Andy Eggroll

This list is terrible. Who suggested these movies???

Keith Brown

Munich should not be in this category. It's a good movie but not for this vote !

Jonathan F

I suppose technically Munich includes the Olympics but not an Olympic film

Happy Hanukkah

[Warning: the following comment may contain trace amounts of sarcasm.] The seventeenth comment on this post complaining that Munich is not an "Olympics" movie has finally convinced me that it must be disqualified. In order not to re-boot the poll yet again, a modest proposal: simply replace it retroactively by a famous film about the previous Olympics held in Germany, Olympia (1938)! You're welcome.

Chris Thom

Munich is great and I think she should watch it eventually...but don't think it's appropriate for an Olympics poll.

Chris Thom

Boys on the Boat is good? Have it saved in On Demand but haven't watched it yet.

Chris Thom

A Vangelis Movie Poll would be interesting. And Tangerine Dream.

Ben Schwartz

i voted for Munich, but you're probably right.

Frisky Dingo

Please don't give up on watching Eddie The Eagle. It's one of those hidden gems that most people have never heard of. HUGH JACKMAN !!!!

Frisky Dingo

Well said Chris. I guess it starts with the Olympics but the vast majority was about war

Chris Thom

Feel like that poll was made by someone who maybe hates the Olympics. Lol. Some fascinating films don't get me wrong, but some really pitch-black DARK movies. Especially Foxcatcher. I-Tonya is dark too, but at least it has some dark humor and an interesting tone.

Richard Maurer

The people who put the poll together think it counts. Vote for it or not, your choice. To be perfectly honest, we've all seen poll inclusions where we went wtf? There have even been poll inclusions that Cassie acknowledged were a mistake. But in this case, as well as many others, I think it's a case of "I don't want this movie to win, therefore I found a reason to complain about it". It was never stated that the movies in this poll had to be about Olympic sports, just Olympics related. If you thought it should only be Olympic sports movies, the time to speak up about it was when Cassie announced the poll. And even that doesn't guarantee she'll agree with you.

Richard Maurer

Olympia (1938) is NOT a Olympics movie!!!!!! (No trace amounts of sarcasm - instead copious amounts of sarcasm)

Richard Maurer

(trigger warning) Munich is the only Olympics movie in the poll!!!!!!!!!

Richard Maurer

When I was asking for a martial arts poll, I specifically asked for a Asian martial arts poll to try and avoid any movies that didn't belong, And when the poll happened there were still American movies in the poll, including the unfortunate choice of The Last Dragon. I didn't like it, complained about it, but I never expected them to be removed from the poll, unlike some people here (not the OP) seem to do. If it was called the Olympics Sports poll you'd have a better case. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.

K, Zachary

All these are really good flicks. We can't lose with any of them . Eddie The Eagle was good flick. Chariots Of Fire had one of the best theme songs of all time . Munich was a fantastic movie.

Chris Thom

Don't remember asking for it to be removed.

Scott Macaulay

It's funny that I am discovering how many movies I haven't seen either watching Cassie. Can I make reactions to reactions videos?? lol JK. I'm too shy. Looking forward to some new experiences!

Richard Maurer

Which is why I wrote "(not the OP)" .

Chris Thom

People make good money reacting to others' YouTube content. It's crazy. Saw this one English guy...LK3 or something like that?...and he gets a boat load of gifts and swag every month. And like 90k views per vid in their first week. Foreigners who profess their love for the US get rewarded big time.

Scott Macaulay

Yes! I actually clicked off a video the other day because I realized I was watching someone react to someone reacting. I was 3 times removed from whatever the original content was.

K, Zachary

I remember feeling disappointed about that I was hoping for Asian Martial arts movie. I have learned the hard way to you just have to roll the punches.

Johnny Bullis

I hope Chariots of Fire wins.. no pun intended.. just for the score alone and one of the most iconic theme songs ever by Vangelis.. and the thematic elements.. and of course Biblical symbolisms from Eric Liddell about running the race set before us.. just amazing.

Johnny Bullis

Not to be funny.. but you dont consider Chariots of Fire an Olympics movie? It literally takes place at the Olympics..

Happy Hanukkah

If pursuing terrorists isn't an Olympic sport, it darn well should be! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

This list should include only movies featuring the original Greek Olympic Games, not today's ersatz version!!!1!

Dean Holt

Only seen Richard Jewell, Eddie the Eagle, but you could have left out Chariots of Fire lol. Really liked the first two, but Chariots of Fire really bored the hell out of me. Looked at the trailer for Munich and it look really good but like Richard Jewell it doesn’t look like it has much to do with the Olympics lol, not complaining it’s just an observation .

Dean Holt

Not triggered but just curious to why you’d think that. I get Richard Jewell but Eddie the Eagle I’d class as an Olympic film as it’s a bit like Cool Runnings. Even though I’m not a fan I’d classify COF as one too. Not seen any of the other but just checked out the trailer for Munich, it looks very good but it didn’t really look like it have much too do with the Olympics it looked more of a spy thriller/drama

Dean Holt

I agree it’s such a great film, reminded me quite a bit of Cool Running with the comedy elements to it. Which is also at the same Olympic games.

Richard Maurer

@Johnny Bullis Dean Holt- Not to be funny. but my op might have been a bit of a joke. you'd need to read through the comments to get it.

Robert Nelson

I am convinced that the naysayers are correct: Munich is not an Olympics movie, but it's so damn good I voted for it again. Sorry.

Richard Maurer

Just for future reference, if I have multiple exclamation points (!!!!!!!!!) in a post, it's almost certainly a joke. I'm never that enthusiastic about anything for real.

Richard Maurer

@Happy Hanukkah - Jason and the Argonauts (63) would (sort of) qualify then. In the movie they held games to pick the Argonauts. Sounds good to me ;-)

Happy Hanukkah

Astérix aux jeux olympiques (2008), providing us with a French connection!

Matt Dellarosa

If there's a way to die of boredom it's got to be from watching Chariots of Fire. I think I made it about 30 minutes before I turned it off.

Dean Holt

I normally just put lol or 😂 if I’m joking. Because it’s difficult sometimes to know if people are joking or being sarcastic when just reading text.

T.L.A

I really like Munich but it is probably the one most removed from the Olympics. Only the first few minutes takes place at the Olympics. The rest is a revenge/snuff film. It does get bonus points for being a "timely" topic though. Go Israeli

Dean Holt

I’m with you on that 😂, it is very dull. Also didn’t really like any of the characters.

Richard Maurer

Sometimes it's just as much fun when people don't get the joke ;-)

Dean Holt

No one like a smart ass (other than the 4 people that have liked you comment 😂) I’m also not complaining as I don’t expect to like every movie that Cassie watchers on here. But after watching the trailer Munich does look pretty good but it also looks like it has very little to do with the subject. Like Richard Jewell I think it’s a great movie but I personally wouldn’t consider it to be a film about the Olympics. It’s kinda like saying Air is a basketball film when 90% of the film is about Nike, so just because someone has suggested something it doesn’t mean it should qualify. But I also can see why they have gotten through as the main issue with some sport related movie categories is there’s not a huge catalog of films to pick from. This one being a good example as the comments on the first link you posted there didn’t look that many people suggesting films and the one that did most suggest the same two or three. Which ether backs up my point or very few people read that part of the post as it did cover a few things, and suggesting Olympic films was only about one line.

Clay F

Cassie said she will react to the top 3, so Munich will be reacted to from the Olympics poll. I am glad. Thanks patrons for voting for Munich. Munich is definitely appropriate for the poll. The beginning of Munich depicts one of the most signficant occurrences at the Olympics (including with Olympics competitors) in Olympics history. One billion people across the world watched.

Clay F

Chariots of Fire (1981), Munich (2005), and I Tonya (2017) all 3 will win in the sense that Cassie is reacting to the top 3

David C. Krapf

It's important to watch Munich to understand the tragedy that occurred at those Olympics in 1972.

Doug Fisher

It is also about the Calgary Olympics and being an Alberta girl I am sure she will appreciate that... much like "Cool Runnings".

Doug Fisher

I definitely voted "Eddie the Eagle". Not only did Taron Egerton give an eerily spot on performance but the movie portrayed a major shift in the Olympics. Not only was I at those Olympics and actually watched Eddie "Soar", but as a Calgarian I can say, with complete confidence, that Eddie and the Jamaican bobsled team (portrayed in "Cool Runnings") were two of the biggest and best stories of those Olympics. (Probably the most fun and least uptight Olympics ever.) That all pissed off the champagne socialist chattering class so much that they changed the rules for Olympic Qualification. Besides, they are from Alberta and will get a kick out of the Calgary Olympics being the backdrop. ;) P.S. I do understand that being Calgarian provided some personal bias in this case, but my main points still stand.

Doug Fisher

Which is very sad Clay. Since two of the three are about as far away from the Olympic spirit as you can get. One isn't even about the Olympics (arguably both).

Doug Fisher

Yup, "Chariots of Fire" is boring but it gets a lot of love because of its soundtrack. "Munich" isn't even about the Olympics and you could argue "I, Tonya" isn't either. "I, Tonya" is also a poor movie that badly distorts the truth from that event. I am not surprised they are leading though... after all, this is the same group that voted "Live and Let Die" as one of the two Moore Bond movies.

Marcus Laubner

Totally agree, great film by the filmmakers of Kingsman! And I'm sure Cassie will love it.

dan

Richard Jewel is a great movie, but infuriating

Dean Holt

Yeah I saw somebody’s comment that they had voted for COF just because of the score. Which to me is just a bit strange as the Soundtrack or Score doesn’t make a movie good/great it’s there to assist it. Like if you took all the music out of Good Morning Vietnam it would still be a good film, but the soundtrack just elevates it. But I did mention when the Olympics movies poll came up there’s isn’t really a huge catalog of good films available.

Mark White

This is going to be a close one! Only a few votes in it!

Jonathan F

Astonished Munich won this poll for 2 reasons. 1 it’s not an Olympics film 2. It’s really poor, really clumsy, doesn’t work as either a personal story or a political thriller topped off with awful accents better suited to a Pink Panther film and filled with dreadful cliches

Guybrush Threepwood

I can’t believe Munich won this poll. Good film but not an ‘Olympic’ movie. I highly recommend you watch Chariots of Fire right after this one, it is after all the most relevant to the upcoming Paris Olympics!

Neil

Guys, don't worry, Cassie is doing the top 3

Richard Maurer

Looks like my one vote counted, lol.

Carol Rocha

Is “chariots of fire” up somewhere I don’t know about? Anxious to see.

Carol Rocha

I guess it’ll be the end of July. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bennett Holleman

It really cannot be emphasized enough how little you understand what Munich has to do with the Olympics.

Bennett Holleman

Really looking forward to Munich, an amazing movie about the Olympics.

Clarence Newman

Hi guys. I'm new to Patreon but been a Youtube subscriber for months. For my first act here, I have to throw in my tuppence worth about Eddie The Eagle. It finished fourth and I think Cassie only watches the top 3, so poor Eddie is being written off again. Those top 3 films are all very good and she'll enjoy them all, but none of them are going to delight her pure little heart and make her float out of the room afterwards the way Eddie will. Plus Hugh Jackman's in it. Plus it's about a Canadian Olympics, so....y'know.

Banning Lobmeyer

Kinda surprise "Miracle" wasn't on the list, some (at least me) say it might be the best overall sports film....

Marja

Good! I was hoping for a Gold, Silver, Bronze kind of presentation. And all top 3 finishers are worth watching, for very different POVs.

Andrew Rose

I don't think it's bias as much as it's just a love of a good, light hearted, inspiring story. None of the others in the top three can really say that. The closest would be chariots of fire but I don't remember it being particularly light-hearted. Though to be fair I haven't seen that movie in over 20 years. I had to listen to all the news about Tonya Harding first hand and though I'm sure the movie is well done, I don't think anyone came out of that situation clean. Lastly, Munich... NOT an olympic movie.. the olympics merely lay the stage for what transpired. in my humble opinion anyway. ;)

Clay, you have been saying the same shyte in everyone's comment who rightfully claims that Munich is not an "Olympic" movie. We get it... you LOVE "Munich" and think it is the most import event in Olympic history!! Dan is right, the Olympics are just the backdrop to a political thriller (and not a great movie to boot). Yes, an "Olympic" movie does have to be about the athletes and competition at the Olympics to be an "OLYMPIC MOVIE"! Like "I, Tonya" isn't an Olympic movie (and another bad movie). It is not arbitrary! Also, just because YOU see it as an "Olympic movie" doesn't make it so. Shocker... you voted for "Munich"! The 100 times you have been chirping about it never gave it away!

100% The only reaction of the top three I will watch is "Chariots of Fire"... begrudgingly. No, "Munich" is not an Olympic movie. I don't consider "I, Tonya" one either. Neither are very good to boot. Though, I am not surprised. Patreon and YouTube polls are like democracy, two wolves and a sheep voting on what is for dinner. This is the same group that voted "Live and Let Die" as one of the two Moore Bond films to be watched. SMH P.S. Cass replied to someone promoting "Eddie the Eagle" and it sounded like she is coming around to also reacting to it. Fingers crossed.

ive been waiting for a long time for Cassie and Carly to watch that movie knowing they like sports movies and true stories.

At some point, if you’re looking for a funny, Olympic movie, try cool runnings. It’s about the Jamaican bobsled team. It’s a really good movie, but it’s not a serious as some of the other ones you have on the list. But I think you would like it.
