Poll for a Poll! I need help.

Comments

Rosario Cicero

How about a 2001: A Space Odyssey poll?

JRCortez

How about a poll for movies about the north pole? Oh, and FIRST!!

William Bryan

Do a horror poll. Duct tape Carly to a chair and force her to watch. 🤣🤣🤣

Ike

Runners up! There were quite a few “missed it by👌much!”

Kevin Barberie

Monthly drawing of Patreon members for the winner to pick the movie!

nick bell

Cold War poll...so many good ones..No Way Out, Red Heat, FireFox etc.. And another mob poll....someday?

Samuel Champ

Westerns. I would love to see your reaction to a good John Wayne movie.

Raj K. Dixit

Lot of good runner ups need viewing....

Just Plain Bob

For Scary But Not Too Scary, we need a “horror movie made in Canada/by a Canadian director” poll. There are several good ones to choose from, such as: Ginger Snaps Pontypool Black Christmas My Bloody Valentine The Changeling Videodrome Terror Train

Philip G.

What about a mystery movie poll we haven't watched a lot of mystery type movies

Luke Godfrey

Sequels, sequels, sequels. As someone with OCD it drives me nuts you haven’t watched them yet. You have to finish watch you start, if for no other reason than my sanity.

John Liebling

Classic musical poll placed in separate polls one for 30s, one for 40s, one for 50s.

Richard Maurer
>>147653729

I agree, minus the duct taping Carly part, or even Carly being involved at all. Because, realistically, with Carly there we're going to get the weakest horror imaginable.

Brent Petty

Throwback. Hoping for Se7en or Good Will Hunting if Carly hasn't seen them. If it's only ones on the channel, then Apollo 13, The Fugitive, Lethal Weapon 1-4, The Sixth Sense, etc.

Neil Varma

Which poll gets us to 2001 a space odyssey

Phil Stubblefield

Hitchcock, please! Or John Grisham! Please, *not* a comedy poll!

Butt Head

Just thought I'd mention Jen Murray has a very slick and multi-functional request website that acts as one permanently open popularity poll the type of which PiB should have up & running being the most popular reactor on YT

John Liebling

Because it looks like Western poll is going down to defeat what about separate polls for specific actors: Gregory Peck, Spencer Tracy, Gary Cooper, Peter Sellers...

Don Ross

A telephone poll!

Samuel Champ
>>147654121

Great film! I think she's seen it, though. I should probably correct myself, she has watched The Quiet Man, should have said John Wayne western.

John

I'm still pulling for a John Wayne poll! The man was a Hollywood legend, and I don't think Cassie's seen any of his movies, other than The Quiet Man and possibly Stagecoach.

Richard Maurer

Too bad the sequels poll is doing as well as it is. Most sequels aren't worth watching.

John Liebling

Eva Marie Saint turned 100 this July 4...How about On The Waterfront as a Cassie pick of the month???

Todzilla

Sorry dudes, I had to go with "Sequels Poll" because Robocop 2 and Predator 2 are on my bucket list!

mikethemotormouth
>>147654602

That's what she means by "requests app" Popcornrequests.com is the PiB version of jenmurrayxo.com...or vice versa rather

JohnnyRico

I voted sequels, but please not starship troopers ever. The sequels r awful.

Cole Jennett

You guys are missing an opportunity to get some real greats on the channel like Forrest Gump or Good Will Hunting by voting for the Throwback poll

T.L.A

Yes, let's do all those

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

It would be ironic if the Runner Up option finishes in 2nd place. Runner up all the way!

Joe

I'll pick Poll runner-ups since I want another shot at seeing "Enter the Dragon" from the November martial arts poll.

Stranger2Reality
>>147654517

After Cassie's reaction to the ending of Close Encounters my immediate thought was that she would absolutely hate 2001 😂 I think that's an amazing movie, but that's the worst movie for someone who is looking for everything to be nicely wrapped up and easily explainable at the end.

Omar

All of these are good categories, but I lean toward sequels because we have to get closer to Austin Powers 3 for reasons everybody understands but we can’t talk about

Dan M

Oh man…decisions, decisions. While I’d love to watch along to some movies that you have seen pre-PIB (Grease, 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, We Bought A Zoo), I really enjoy watching your first time reactions. We’ve seen a lot of sequels recently, so I’ll pass on that one. And I feel you’ve chosen to react to a lot of runners up in past polls. So, I think its time to catch up on a lot of good comedies that have yet to be seen…Stripes, Beverly Hills Cop, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Uncle Buck, just to name a few. I’d also like to throw out an idea for a poll that I’m hoping you’d consider some time this month. Since the summer is almost over, and the kids are back in school, how about a “Back To School High Jinx” Poll with some movies diving into teen angst, drama, and tomfoolery. Some of my picks would be: 1. School Ties (Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Ben Afleck) 2. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Sean Penn) 3. Sixteen Candles (Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, and John Cusack) 4. Sky High (Kurt Russell) 5. Just One of the Guys 6. Real Genius (Val Kilmer) 7. I Love You, Beth Cooper 8. With Honors (Brendan Fraser again)

Chris Clarke

Choose one???!!! Aaargh!😬😆 Don't think I'll be too put out whichever wins. 💁‍♂️

Dan M
>>147654121

I agree with you, but she’s already reacted to it. Full reaction and YouTube edit are available.

Joe
>>147654517

She should just schedule 2001 and watch it, it would win any poll.

Chris Clarke
>>147654491

Cassie's reaction to Apollo 13 was great, especially as she didn't actually know how it played out at the time.

Dan M
>>147653918

I like this idea. But how about a monthly poll for Patreon members whose anniversary as Patreon members fall within each month.

Korny

We need more Hitchcock no matter what wins.

Korny
>>147656369

First time reactions are the best. I’m not a fan of watchalongs.

Earthen

Went for Sequels. I know Matrix 3 is not anyone's favorite, but I really want to watch Cassie watching it anyway.

Cole Jennett
>>147656369

These aren’t watchalong, they are for movies she only saw once, a long time ago. Movies she probably has hardly any memory of, ie, Twister

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Nope. Not going to vote in this poll. Whatever you guys decide I will go for I am sticking to my modern World War II series poll that my future wife spent hours on. 1. The Pianist (2002) 2. Conspiracy (2001) 3. Defiance (2008) 4. Downfall (2004) 5. The Boy In The Striped Pajamas (2008) 6. Flags Of Our Fathers (2006) Comedies? Sequels? Sequels by definition are inferior films. I need a 🥃.

Alex Gorell

Not enough comedies are being watched so I voted for that.

Butt Head
>>147654602

I don't want to talk shit about the app, but it's not a patch on Jen Murray's site and I've never been able to log on to it anyway despite multiple attempts

Mike LL

How could I, who has argued so forcefully and so often, vote for anything but Hitchcock? I daren't! Hitchcock it is, but I won't be upset with the Runner Up Poll, the current winner! ( Maybe including the Hitchcock Poll runner up? Makes sense, eh?

Mike LL
>>147656826

We are overdue for Dial of Destiny and the Dead Reckoning (re)watch!

Keith Brown

Hitchcock ! There are at least a dozen real classics of his you still need to see. I wish westerns was polling better and please I mean the real classic era westerns not spaghetti era . You have done them and Eastwood already

mikethemotormouth
>>147656369

The fact that she might have any knowledge or memory of anything I'm watching with her already has me kind of 🫤

clays283
>>147654996

Had to go with the same. I'm probably just being impatient for some more Bill and Ted.

Mike LL
>>147654862

Cassie has not seen Stagecoach. The only movie she has seen President Wayne in is The Quiet Man. We need to honor this former President by having Cassie watch more of his movies! /inside joke

clutchkman

Pollception II is kind of a brain buster title. Nice 👍 I voted for sequels with Superman II in mind, but there's plenty of great Hitchcock, and Western movies that I'd like for her to see. Grisham too. Tough choice.

Zeroarmor7

How about a "so bad it's good" poll? Probably plenty of bad/good/horrific movies out there

Robert Jewell
>>147658257

I'm with you on both counts and believe it or not this morning I was wishing Cassie would do a Hitchcock poll and since Cassie likes romantic films, Hitchcock is a lot more romantic than he gets credit for.

John Callahan

This blank reads, "Share your thoughts", so here are some: 1) Twelve O'clock High is a fantastic WW2 bomber movie with Gregory Peck, about the stress of combat command, 2) Wind River with Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen, a wildlife tracker and a novice FBI agent investigate the murder of an Indiginous American woman, tense, gritty, triggers but wow - what a flick! 3) thale, very unusual movie about a young woman held in seclusion until "cleaners" come upon the scene, very Scandinavian, low budget, little dialog, who/what is this woman? Not scary, but an intriguing watch. Whatever category wins this poll, justify Wind River in it and watch.

rakesh

Runner up poll FTW . Need that Bond Movie "The World Is Not Enough" and "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" from the Martial Arts poll

Butt Head
>>147658257

I think Cassie will appreciate Hitch even more in the theatre room. Torn Curtain would be my vote

Björn Karlsson

A poll with only non-english movies in a certain genre. War, drama, comedies, horror etc etc.. Or a poll from a certain country or language. You know "broaden the horizon"..

Ria Grix

Well it’s gotta be comedy or those runner up movies in my opinion. Who doesn’t like the idea of choosing a movie to make Cassie laugh her socks off.

Joe

Still waiting for a classic 60s poll, a classic 70s poll, a classic 50s sci-fi poll. I'll just stop with those for now (haha).

Keith Brown
>>147658257

Yes he does romance too ! A little fact one of the longest scene kisses in movies happens in "Notorious" between Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman.

Clay F

Richard Maurer
>>147659682

Dragon isn't really a martial arts movie, it's a bio-pic, and it wasn't the runner up, Enter the Dragon was. Besides, shouldn't Cassie see the real Bruce Lee before she sees someone playing him?

2-Can
>>147660289

I once suggested a Poll of Poles for Polish people only, but it didn’t take. Looks like she settled for a Poll of Polls instead.

Dan M

What about a “Fantasy Movie” poll where the plot makes you think “What if this could really happen?” My suggestions: 1. Phenomenon (John Travolta) 2. Frequency (Dennis Quaid, Jim Caviezel) 3. Chances Are (a very young Robert Downey Jr. ) 4. Love Potion No 9 (a very young Sandra Bullock) 5. Bicentennial Man (Robin Williams) 6. Cocoon (Steve Guttenberg, Jessica Tandy, Wilford Brinkley, Don Ameche, Maureen Stapleton) 7. Always (Richard Dreyfus) 8. Heaven Can Wait (the 1978 film with Warren Beatty and Charles Grodin)

JAKH
>>147657624

Add to your "Modern WW2" list 7. "Letters From Iwo Jima" (2007) *True Story* companion movie to "Flags of Our Fathers" (2007) *True Story* 8. "The Great Raid" (2005) *True Story* 9. "Shining Through" (1992) 10. "Operation Mincemeat" (2021) *True Story* 11. "Greyhound" (2020) 12. "Valkyrie" (2008) *True Story* I think that both Cassie and Carly would particularly enjoy "Shining Through", "Operation Mincemeat", and "Greyhound" very much. Good plot and drama, and very little gore or suffering.

AC5555

Please keep the foreign films poll and Hitchcock polls consistent every month. More classic films in general.

AC5555

Cinema Paradiso must be seen!!

AC5555
>>147656753

In a perfect world I’d love to see her watching a Hitchcock film or two every month. 2 Foreign films every month. 2 to 3 classic Hollywood

Jimmy Stewart

The Dirty Harry movies should definitely be on a poll.

AC5555
>>147654978

I am desperate for more classic Hollywood films in general.

AC5555
>>147654121

I prefer a lot of other westerns to Wayne’s (personally). High Noon. The great silence. The big country. Westward the women. Jauja. Yellow sky. The gunfighter. My darling clementine.

AC5555

History film poll

Logan England

I think you would really like Split!

AC5555

Foreign film poll

AC5555

Barbara Stanwyck poll

AC5555

Polls for countries. Like a French poll. An Italian poll. A Latinx poll for Latin heritage month.

AC5555

Sofia Coppola poll

Wyatt Nuxoll

I votes for sequels, I really hope you watch the equalizer 2 and 3 they're very good sequels and you get your questions all answered in number 2 Who is Robert Mcall ? I think you would like it Cassie

Chris Thom

A famous directors poll could be fun. Scorsese, Spielberg, Woody Allen, James Cameron, Sophia Coppola, Hitchcock, David O' Russel, Fincher, Bigelow, Polanski...pick some of their best movies and go from there. Just a poll of which director we'd like to see more of could be cool.

Chris Clarke

I think if the throwback poll won, it would have to be for films that Cassie has seen but Carly hasn't. If she hasn't seen Apollo 13, that would be ideal. Maybe around Christmas time?🤔

Chris Thom
>>147656826

Needs to happen. So surprised she didn't want to finish up the story. Personally I couldn't wait to see how it wrapped up.

mikethemotormouth
>>147654996

Bill and Ted was SO recent! Like handful of weeks recent! Meanwhile, where's the sequel to The Fugitive US Marshals? Or The Equalizer 2? Or Coming to America?

Chris Thom

Oh also a Judd Apatow poll could be fun. His movies are conspicuously missing from the channel. There's some I think you'd get a real kick out of. Some of the most rewatchable comedies ever.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)
>>147657624

Valkyrie, The lack of a German Accent on Tom Cruise made it. mehh. Greyhound she said she was going to watch just like Oppenheimer, MI7 but it didn't happen. Operation Mincemeat did make our short list. If we went to seven movies. We would have included that. Shining Through like Sophie's Choice didn't get chosen because it's too old although we both liked the story. Letters From Iwo Jima would have to be included with Flags Of Our Fathers. The Great Raid was one we really liked. We wished we could have kept that one.

John Deardurff

I kind of like the Throwback idea. How would you react to Shawshank or some of your early watches on the channel? I'm still hoping for a Michael Keaton comedy week. (Mr. Mom, Gung Ho, Johnny Dangerously, Night Shift, Multiplicity) Or drama, (Spotlight, The Founder, Speechless, The Paper, My Life).

mikethemotormouth
>>147656369

Breakfast Club went up on YT 3 years ago Though if you want to jockey for John Hughes she hasn't seen, what about Sixteen Candles?

Cole Jennett
>>147663392

I don’t think she means Throwback as rewatching anything she’s done on the channel already. I think it’s to get to some great movies she saw when she was too young to appreciate them or doesn’t remember them at all, ie Forrest Gump

AC5555
>>147662162

Classics and modern films. I’d say dramas , slice of life, romances , thrillers and art house: 400 blows. Ozu, Kore-eda (Shoplifters), Parasite, portrait of a lady on fire. Kurosawa, Italian, Neorealism, Soviet films from the 50s to 70s like Come and See, War and Peace and Cranes are Flying. Bergman movies. Wenders (ie Paris Texas, perfect days, Wings of Desire), Worst Person In the World… Mads MIKKELSEN movies like the Hunt. Cinema Paradiso. Zhang Yimou films like Ju Dou, Hero, raising the red lantern . Australian ie Picnic at Hanging Rock or Walkabout. Jane Campion’s Piano. Reine Margot Three colors trilogy, Possession and The Cold War (2018) from Poland Where is the friend’s house and A separation from Iran. City of God Amores Perros Eric Rohmer’s tale of four seasons

Mac61

How about a foreign film romcom poll?

Bert Towle

I chose the Runner Up Poll because nearly everything I vote for in polls doesn't come in on top!

My_Cousin_Mose
>>147663392

I'm thinking what Cole said but I do hope we eventually get a rewatch of the movie that started it all.

Mike LL
>>147658257

Yesss! There are so many more classic Hitchcock films to watch!

Mike LL
>>147658061

I voted for Hitchcock Poll, wouldn't be upset by a Runner Up Poll win, which could include a Hitchcock movie! Better?

Björn Karlsson
>>147662162

It's not hard to break it down to sub genres. 🙂🙂 Loooooooots of great movies from nothern Europe in many genres 🙂

My_Cousin_Mose

I'm fine with almost any winner here but I voted for comedies. I wanna see Cassie cry from laughter again.

Johnny
>>147666906

Yeah, I voted for comedies also. There's so many great ones to choose from, and this channel could use more of them.

Chris Thom
>>147661751

Always find myself wondering if The Matrix could happen. Or if it already has. lol

Jimmy Stewart

I would love to see an Agatha Christie movie poll, so many classics.

Richard Maurer

How about a poll of movies I like a whole lot. I'd be glad to make some recommendations.

Mike Lemon
>>147654370

And as someone craving variety, it drives me nuts she has watched so many. I'm pretty sure she is over 100 already (or dang close).

Dan M
>>147661751

@ Bert Towle. I haven’t seen it, or heard of it. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Dan M
>>147656369

@ mikethemotormouth. Yup, that’s on my list above 👍

Mike Lemon
>>147667372

I just went through and put 50-ish on the app, I wouldn't mind a poll of those. There are probably a few on there you would like too.

Richard Maurer
>>147667372

I'm not putting any more movies on Popcorn Requests until I see some change, either to the app itself or it just being used more. The way things stand now I don't see the point.

Mike Lemon
>>147667372

True, but I wanted to get The Perfect Host (2010) and Strangeland (1998) on there for when I suggest them for "scary but not too scary" October, then boredom and my movie hard-drive being open led to more requests.

Dan M
>>147663392

I’d love for Cassie and Carly to watch Forrest Gump on the channel.

V M

A V M poll... Treasure of the Sierra Madre for Cassie!!!!!!!!!!

Mark Vaderr

I voted for Top 100 comedies. Cassie, we need to see you laugh more and put you in an all-around jovial mood. There are lots of great comedies out there for you. Comedies that rely on clever dialogue and great writing as opposed to gross out toilet humor and cheap sex jokes. It looks like it won't win the poll. Just hoping we get to fill Cassie with mirth.

Bert Towle

Maybe it's time to really broaden the film knowledge and go for a silent - like Sherlock Jr. (Keaton), The General (Keaton) 1st year of the National Film Registry, Safety Last! (LLoyd), City Lights (Chaplin), The Gold Rush (Chaplin), or Modern Times (Chaplin - essentially the last silent film) 1st year of the National Film Registry.

Julie
>>147666906

I voted comedies too. I'm dying for Cassie to see Some Like it Hot, Beverly Hills Cop, Tootsie, Arthur, Blues Brothers, Foul Play.... the list goes on and on.

AC5555
>>147662234

Sure! Every other film I watch is a foreign film as is so I'd love to see foreign cinema take root with every reactor. Hong Kong films: Wong Kar Wai, for example. Italian: Neorealism, Fellini, Tornatore, Antonioni, the Sphagettis. Visconti (Ludwig) France: Truffaut (400 Blows), Rohmer (Tale of the Four Seasons, Boyfriends & Girlfriends), Agnes Varda (Cleo from 5 to 7 and Le Bonheur), Celine Sciamma (Portrait of a Lady on Fire), Port of Shadows, Celine Sciamma (Tomboy, Portrait of a Lady on Fire), The Passion of Joan of Arc, Anatomy of a Fall. UK: Mike Leigh, David Lean, Powell and Pressburger, Terrence Davies (Long Day Closes), Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank), German: Fritz Lang, Wim Wenders, the Sissi trilogy. Werner Herzog's Aguirre Wrath of God. All Quiet on the Western Front (1930, 2022) The Soviets: Come and See, Mikhail Kalatozov, Tarkovsky, Bondarchuk with The War and Peace and Waterloo. Scandinavian: 1. Bergman, 2. Let the Right One In, 3. The Emigrants (1971) and New Lands (1972) by Jan Troell, 4. Joachim Trier from Norway. 5. Thomas Vinterberg (The Hunt, Another Round, Denmark), Nikolaj Arcel (The Promised Land, Royal Affair) Japan: Kore-eda, Kurosawa, Ozu, Pole: Kieslowski, Wajda, Pawlikowski, Polanski (controversial though he is), and Zulawski. Eo LatinX: El Sur, Cria Cuervos, City of God, Amores Perros, Broken Embraces, Tambien la Lluvia, Under the Moon, Macario, Society of Snow, Roma, El Norte, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Motorcycle Diaries Iran: Kiarostami and Farhadi

Strangelove50

This kind of overlaps with the first option, but I would like to see one for great movies that have not been reacted to on any channels like this yet; a few that I think are worthy of discussion but could not find reactions after searching: Changeling-2008, Bridge of Spies-2015, No Way Out-1987 (Cassie expressed admiration for Gene Hackman and Kevin Costner in other movies, should find their acting fantastic in this one), The Hand That Rocks the Cradle-1992 (Rebecca de Mornay, a great female villain forgotten, overshadowed by Kathy Bates in Misery near that time); a couple flicks that had limited reactions but too much edited out, could use better quality here at PIB: Election-1999 (Pick Flick!) and On the Beach-1959.

Strangelove50
>>147666906

The Blues Brothers, I second that, been wanting to see Cassie react to that one for a while; would also like to see Dr. Strangelove.

YodatheHobbit

I'd love to see a reaction to a good sequel, (like 3 Men and a Little Lady!). It was better than I imagined it would be. But a runner up poll should also be good.

Steve kephart

I just noticed that you did the first 3 Tom Clancy movies, but didn't do the 4th one; The Sum Of All Fears. While it may not be quite as good as the first three, it is still a really good movie and worth watching. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Oh, and it is a prequel so there is a little romance in it for you. ;)

Clay F
>>147662329

That may be the only way to get a reaction to Lost in Translation

Analytical Guy
>>147659682

I wouldn't mind "a couple bond movies you missed the first time." Dr. No and Thunderball jump out as overlooked ones from the classic era, and it might be fun to watch a reaction to the ridiculousness of Moonraker or Die Another Day.

Analytical Guy

Might be interesting to see reactions to movies no other reactor has done. (or that almost no reactor has done)

Richard Maurer
>>147662162

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but we just had a foreign movie poll - Das Boot remember? It's like if I started asking for another classic horror poll :-)

Richard Maurer
>>147667372

Yeah, that would happen to me too. I go to put one movie on, then think of half a dozen others to add. Kind of another reason for me to swear off using it.

Biggman83
>>147661751

Hell yeah for Phenomenom. Just watched it again this weekend and thought it would be a perfect reaction film for C&C. I’d like to add Dragonfly to the mix

Clay F
>>147661805

Hold Down A ("Ames") [105K YT subscribers] reacted to Cinema Paradiso earlier this year. In the text description for the full reaction on her Patreon, she wrote: "I think I said it all in my outro!! I loved this and it was an incredible experience!" She reacts to AFI Top 100 movies. She has reacted to at least 4 Hitchcock movies. She has reacted to Yojimbo (1961), Arsenic and Old Lace, Taxi Driver, This is Spinal Tap, A Dog's Life (1918), Chinatown, The Maltese Falcon, Paper Moon, 12 Angry Men, No Country for Old Men, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Barry Lyndon, Casablanca, Raging Bull, Planet of the Apes (1968), Bladerunner (1982), The Thing, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather, etc.

AC5555
>>147661805

She's honestly just one of the best out there for sure. I am subscribed to her too but I am almost sure I haven't seen her watch it. Is it just a Patreon Exclusive?

Richard Maurer
>>147653918

@Philip G. - I like that idea (member since 2021). Seriously, shouldn't loyalty be rewarded?

Matthew Scarth

I think now that Cassie has watched so much 'Star Trek' it would be awesome if she did a re-watch of 'Galaxy Quest' with Carly. I'm sure she'd be able to appreciate it even more now and would be able to point out things to Carly. Even if it's not on the throwback poll, I think it would be fun for both of them to do at some point.

Omar
>>147654996

Didnt know that, but regardless, I still loved it

Carol Rocha
>>147661751

THANK YOU!! I’ve been trying to get Dragonfly on a poll for the longest time. And she LOVES Kevin Costner!! She would truly love this. I’ve suggested The Guardian with Kevin Costner & Ashton Kutcher. It’s a great movie!! Phenomenon and Frequency are both excellent movies! We’ll see her watch them one day, maybe. 🤔

Mr. Crowley

I'm voting sequels because I want Superman 2!

Carol Rocha

WINDTALKERS is a great WW2 film with Nicolas Cage, Mark Ruffalo, Christian Slater, Adam Beach, It is based on the REAL story of code talkers from the Navajo nation who were an invaluable asset to the war effort. Also the story of the officers who were charged with “protecting” the code at all costs.

Nick Ireland

I'd love to see your reaction to the naked gun movies!

Phenomenon is so good, and one of those movies that always flies under the radar. And you’re right, its the perfect movie for Cassie and Carly.

Daniel Hofer

Why is picking a poll of which poll to pick harder than making a pick inside said poll? 😀

Richard Maurer

Since the Runner-up poll looks to be the winner I can think of two films that definitely belong in the poll - Enter the Dragon and The Fly. Both were close seconds (1 vote for The Fly!) and neither poll got a second film watched from them, unlike a lot of other polls. And please, no "The Fly belongs in October" comments, it was a runner-up and deserves to be in this poll.

Korny

Has Sideways been in a poll? If not, why not?

Mark White
>>147684213

Good shout, Cassie enjoys a thriller/suspense. I know it’s Affleck! But it’s a good movie and he’s pretty good in it too.

Story Archer

There are a LOT of sequels to movies that Cassie loved that she hasn't revisited for some reason...

Mark White
>>147703647

True, Croc 2, matrix Revolutions, terminator sequels. I’m sure there are more?! But are some sequels worth a watch?! I personally think so, but I bet im in the minority?

Mark White

Ok, this is hard! runners up: The Fly Comedies: Paul JG movies: The Pelican Brief Hitchcock: 39 Steps Westerns: The outlaw Josie Wales Throwbacks: Jaws (then watch Duel! You will see the connection!)

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Halloween is the best time for horror movie reactions IMHO. We had The Thing (1982) last Halloween, Just my opinion, feel free to disagree!

Jacob King
>>147686052

Absolutely, PiB has a wider selection than a lot of channels but there are so many great movies that no reactors get to. Even big blockbuster and awards movies that slip through the cracks. My pick: Gone Baby Gone

John Cranberry
>>147705528

Agree with the Fly, but Frenzy is my pick. The Cowboys for Western. Agree with Duel. And the Rainmaker...has she seen it?

Richard Maurer
>>147702143

Forcing horror films into the Halloween only mold is just a way to keep them off the channel on a more regular basis. My point about the The Fly still stands, it was as close to winning as a film can be without a tie. Keeping it off a runner-up poll would just be bias, nothing more.

Chris Thom
>>147703181

Oh good one. That was one of my first requests three years ago or however long.

Mark White
>>147705528

No, I’m pretty sure Cassie hasn’t seen the Rainmaker, well, not in PiB anyways. Good shout thou.

R F.

This is our chance for “Dazed and Confused” again!

Grad
>>147702143

I recommend starting with The Fly (1958). Make it an event, rather than just another random standalone movie.

Silver Machine
>>147679567

I think Cassie would especially enjoy Chaplin films like The Gold Rush or City Lights. Besides the comedy, both films have sweet love stories.

Silver Machine

Can’t say no to Hitchcock. My picks would be: Strangers On A Train, Saboteur, Shadow Of A Doubt, Rebecca, Suspicion, Notorious… (we need a Cary Grant poll too!)

AC5555
>>147662174

Such a long and powerful career. I love Ladies of Leisure, Remember the Night, The Furies, Stella Dallas, Meet John Doe as well.

Richard Maurer
>>147702143

@Grad - well, that's unlikely to happen. I'm fine with it being on the runner-up poll. If it wins great, if not, better luck next time.

Mike Lemon
>>147667372

@Bjorn - That was requested a couple days after you asked (and after I watched it) in January 2023. But, you're welcome.

Björn Karlsson
>>147667372

Yeah, but it got a higher score from you this weekend. From 0,5 up to almost 1.7. SML went up alot because of that. In place 205 atm 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Daniel Fuchs

Hitchcock: Rear Window. Comedie: The naked gun, western: once upon a Time in the west

>>147686052

Let's start listing suggestions for such movies. I put a few I could not find reactions to in my comment, plus a few I thought could use better quality reactions; I will try to come up with a few more; would love to hear your suggestions.

Björn Karlsson
>>147662234

Some great, but not so fameous swedish directors: Ulf Malmros, Kjell Sundvall and Lukas Moodysson..

Björn Karlsson
>>147662234

I LOVE Show me love aka Fcuking Åmål 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 The kids are phenomenal. IMO it's the best and most charming movie about teenagers. You might recognize Elin as my display image 😃😃

mikethemotormouth
>>147686052

I nominate Kaleidoscope(2016), Sushi Girl(2012) and Sphere(1998) though if I had to pick one, it's Kaleidoscope

Marja
>>147728465

I love most of your suggestions. My swap outs would be The Lady Vanishes for Saboteur and Spellbound for Suspicion.

rakesh
>>147659682

Yeah we had that argument. But it was in that poll and it seems to me that it's been bandied around a while but never seems to make it. So I'm giving it a runner up privilege. And it think personally that she'd have more connection to him seeing this before enter the dragon. She connects on the emotional level and dragon has those feels.

Chris Thom

Has there been a Tom Cruise poll yet? Magnolia, Vanilla Sky, Eyes Wide Shut, Valkyrie, Risky Business, etc.?

Chris Thom
>>147686052

I always liked Wicker Park. Romance/mystery/thriller/drama. Josh Hartnett, Rose Byrne, Stu from Scream.

Chris Thom
>>147663392

Bet Moulin Rouge would make for a fun reaction. But I know Cassie at least saw it a long time ago. Not sure about Carly.

AC5555
>>147662141

JFK. Marie Antoinette. Barry Lyndon. Kingdom of Heaven. Apocalypto. John Adams. La Reine Margot. The Mission. The Last Duel. Gettysburg. 12 Strong for 911. The Northman. Killers of the Flower Moon. Waterloo and War & Peace. Spartacus. Raise the red Lantern. Ran and Kagemusha. Turn Washington’s spies. The Duellists. Gettysburg.

Chris Thom
>>147662329

The one she did for Apple TV was pretty solid. With Bill Murray and Quincy Jones' daughter. Almost an unofficial sequel to Lost in Translation.

Chris Thom
>>147662141

All good ones. Marie Antoinette would be pretty perfect for the channel. Especially after the Paris Olympics.

Chris Thom
>>147661751

One of my first thoughts was the Nicholas Cage lottery winner one. But I think she may've done that already.

Chris Thom
>>147655608

I've seen like ten reactions to Forrest Gump and I always love them. Always some of the best vids I've ever seen.

Art of Free Speech
>>147775425

I would even add Taps in there. It's not a Tom Cruise starring film, but he did play a major role in it, and it's an awesome film.

Sarah Frost

I love to hear Cassie's infectious laugh, so I voted for top 100 comedies.

Tanglefoot

Classic War Movie Poll - these are good ensemble movies with a lot of names The Longest Day Battle of the Bulge A Bridge too Far Battle of Britain The Dam Busters

Clay F
>>147661805

I don’t see Cinema Paradiso on her YT channel, so must be a Patreon exclusive. She posted her full reaction to Cinema Paradiso on her Patreon channel on February 28, 2024. It was a Wheel of Movie Wonder winner, so no thumbnail of the movie.

Dan M
>>147661751

@ Chris Thom. I believe you’re thinking of It Could Happen To You. And yes, she has a full reaction and a YouTube edit for that movie. Good choice though.

Clarence Newman
>>147787068

Good list, but if she watches The Longest Day, she will have reacted to two John Wayne films but ZERO of his westerns. There may be a riot.

Clarence Newman
>>147702143

I'm with you on The Fly, Richard (1986, not 1958). It actually doesn't belong in Scary But Not Too Scary October, on the grounds that it's WELL scary and will have Cassie bouncing all over the bed. Epic Jeff Goldblum performance though, so I'll be voting for it.

Eve

you should 100% watch The First Wives Club with Carly, such a great film and one of my favourites 💓

Clarence Newman
>>147686052

I would love to see a reaction to Meander, which is a French horror/suspense flick. There are reactions to the trailer and various clips on YT but I can't find one for the full film. Even if there is one hidden somewhere, it wouldn't be the same as seeing our girl react to it.

Richard Maurer
>>147702143

@Clarence Newman - if we get a chance to vote for it. This channel does have a history of ignoring horror films for polls they clearly belong in. Like the Paris poll not having American Werewolf in Paris, even though Paris is literally in the title.

Grad
>>147702143

Richard: I'm fine with it being on the poll. My suggestion is simply to watch them together, whenever The Fly (1986) gets selected. Turn it into an event, like Godzilla.

harvard

cassie to see a young sexy Clint eastwood movie Dirty Harry as a police detective

Mac61
>>147665472

Because the channel is predominantly English-speaking, any foreign-language romcoms would have very little chance of winning. Cassie’s channel is all-inclusive and has a number of followers who English was not their first language, and it would give them a chance to see something they would enjoy watching a reaction to. She loves romcoms and loves her followers, so why not give those who English is not their first language, an opportunity to enjoy the channel?

Mac61

How about a wide-open poll? Rules: 1) You are only allowed to post one movie that you would like to see Cassie react to. (ONLY ONE more than one, the second or subsequent posts will be removed). 2) The post should contain TITLE, Year of release, type (i.e. comedy, sci-fi, romance, etc.), language spoken and one or two actors. 3) The way to vote is to like the Post of the movie you like (Vote for as many as you want) (Don’t forget to do your research before voting; you would not want to miss voting for a good or great movie you can use IMDB) 4) At the end of a week, the top six vote-getters go into a final poll. What do you think?

Björn Karlsson
>>147819701

OK... I start 🙂 This will not be a suprise... Movie: Show me love Year: 1998 Language: Swedish Genre: Drama/comedy/coming-of-age Actors: Rebecka Liljeberg, Alexandra Dahlström.

Richard Maurer
>>147702143

@Grad - Not saying it's a bad idea but considering Cassie just did two classic monster movies I don't think it's likely she'll do a third. Classics are hard on her YT algorithm as they tend not to do that well.

Mac61
>>147819701

Movie: Messengers Year: 1999 Language: Japanese Genre: Drama/comedy/romance Actors: Naoko Iijima, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi

Björn Karlsson
>>147665472

I don't think Cassie has seen a swedish teenage movie before. "Broaden the horizon" is a popular thing to say 😉😉

Duane A Lavely

How about an "old farts poll" for those of us that remember the classic, block buster, dress-up & go downtown to the theater for opening night movies? You know the movies with an "Overture" & "Intermission".

Grad
>>147702143

Richard: To be fair, I'm not too focused on the youtube numbers. Maybe it would bring in some new patrons as well. I just think it's a good principle in general. By watching the originals first, you're likely to get more out of the remakes. Plus, it might be your only chance to see the original.

Mike Lemon
>>147686052

The obvious answer is Android Night Punch (2014). Watch it and you'll know why. But the real recommendation is Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995). Nobody has even heard of that great movie. If you want more, I just put 50ish on the app that nobody has even mentioned there (and here?) until I did a few days ago.

Mike Lemon
>>147775425

Oh, Magnolia. Another of those movies that were "promised" to watch. And that was to the producer at the Mission Impossible premier.

Chris Thom
>>147819701

American Beauty (1999) Kevin Spacey, Annette Benning. Drama/Dark Comedy/Special Interest (lol)

Chris Thom
>>147775425

Was hopeful when that director suggested it to her at the premiere. Think it went in one ear and out the other pretty quick though.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

My friends and I have a bet going on a runner up poll I put $50 on a movie. Even though I didn't vote in this poll.

Mike Lemon
>>147775425

With Magnolia and Legend already promised, one poll winner would make a good Cruise week.

John Liebling

Looks like we are guaranteed "My Fair Lady"

Duane A Lavely
>>147829640

I had "55 Days at Peking" (1963) starring Charlton Heaton, Ava Gardner, & David Niven in mind.

Strangelove50
>>147680990

Just what I was thinking. A couple corrections to what I said above: After doing an updated search, the Cradle movie did have a couple reactions: one from Midnight Reactions and one from Mozy Flicks. Election movie had a better quality reaction from Force of Light Entertainment; still none for No Way Out. That one and Cradle would both be good for Cassie's style of pleasantly horrified reactions you mentioned; would still love to see her react to the drama and dark humor in Election.

For me, "The Fly" (1986) is a special case. Just add it to her October watch-list and get it done.

Joe
>>147700427

She should just watch all the runner-ups she missed, we don't need another poll (haha).

Joe
>>147682253

Cassie said she tried to watch it once and fell asleep (haha).

Mac61
>>147819701

I'm sorry. This was just my idea for an open poll. Cassie in no way sanctioned it. I’m sorry if anyone thought it was a sanctioned poll. I posted this idea here to see if anyone else thought it was a good concept for a poll. I apologise to all who misunderstood, and I apologise to Cassie, who is the only one putting out sanctioned polls. Once again, I am sorry for any misunderstanding. Although it does look like some of you think it is a good concept. Maybe Cassie can employ it in the future. With this concept, I thought we might get some non-mainstream movies to vote for.

Richard Maurer
>>147702143

@Joe - If I knew for sure that was going to happen I'd be on board, But as things stand now this runner up poll is as good a shot as any.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Whatever you do don't put any effort into a poll. She will just reject it. Then you will keep trying and you will continue to feel dejected.

Joe Jupiter

There are so many more polls than these that need to happen! First and foremost, a poll for more Godzilla movies! And a poll for classic American monster movies! And slasher movies! And classic Shaw Brothers movies! And Jet Li movies! AND JACKIE CHAN MOVIES! I don't mean his cheesy American movies; I mean his proper old school Hong Kong movies!

Movie Maestro

The best way to watch movies is by the decades. You appreciate the change in the way films are made. So I suggest top 10 movies per decade But a must watch is Stalag 17

Joe
>>147656826

Two more films she hasn't delivered, I see a pattern here (haha).

Joe
>>147655608

There are still 100s of good films across many decades she hasn't seen.

Cole Jennett
>>147655608

We are talking about a poll for at best 2 reactions. I don’t think it’s the beginning of the end, it’s just a solid way for her to do a couple movies that will get a bunch of views.

Joe
>>147654978

Don't hold your breath, the classic films do poorly with YT views so Cassie will hit them only every so often.

John Liebling
>>147654978

She's built up a very strong channel, perhaps the occasional movie which doesn't pull in mega views will be okay.

Story Archer

Cassie enjoyed Romancing the Stone so much - how has she not made it around to the sequel Jewel of the Nile yet? She'll love it!
