I liked this spin on the age old fantasy of vampires vs werewolves. It was very dark and dreary and rainy but I was so happy to see Ben from Felicity and Kate Beckinsale was 🔥🔥. I was surprised by a lot of the story and even though it was cheesy at times it mostly worked for me!

TigerDelta

Anyone know if theatrical or extended?

Choof

Always liked this while acknowledging how dated it seems now. It was obvious the studio saw the success of the Matrix and Blade in the few years before this and just decided to mash those together. Speaking of BLADE, now that it and deadpool and wolverine are both coming up soon on the channel id recommend you watch BLADE first for maximum reaction impact

Tringard

Glad you liked this and the series just keeps going whenever you want to dive back into a fairly similar feel.

Neill Shaughness

EVERYONE PLEASE GO VOTE FOR LITTLE SHOP!!! Seriously, not only is it the better movie, but the reaction will be way more fun than Cloverfield

ArsTropica

How do vampires know what Cheesy tasted like? Maybe they got it wrong. Maybe what I think Cheese tasted like actually tasted like oatmeal, or tuna fish. That makes you wonder about a lot of things. Take lots of leather, sunglasses and raincoats, for example: maybe they couldn't figure out what to make Underworld taste like, which is why Underworld tastes like The Matrix.

Vwlss Nvwls

I saw this and the second movie in the theaters with my ex-wife. We had a blast with those movies, both of us being big vampire lore fans. I especially had fun because... Kate Beckinsale :)

Tetsujin

From the runtime I'd say this is theatrical.

TigerDelta

Strange because the theatrical is 2h 1m and yet her video is 2h exactly including intro and outro. I wonder how that happened.

Uncle Phoenix

Can I just say that I’m overwhelmed that we all gave so much for Hurricane help. BTW: I think that the Nextdoor app is great for helping the people in your own community. #ProudtobeAKernel

Cole Jennett

I knew Ben from Felicity would be a positive in this for you.

Cole Jennett

I hope they watch Deadpool & Wolverine tomorrow night like she said might be a possibility.

Choof

I want it as soon as they can too, but I'd rather it be after Blade

Vwlss Nvwls

I always assume vampires would defeat werewolves simply because they are overall smarter. It seems like werewolves rely too much on primal instinct and could not strategize like a vampire could. But that is just my opinion. :)

Dan M

Vampires and werewolves and Kate Beckinsale…oh my! Sounds like fun!

Marcos

I fully admit I watch these movies pretty much only because of Kate Beckinsale.

31Mike Reacts

I'll be glad when October is over, every reactor likes to delve into 'scary movies', it's just not my genre so October is always a bad month for content.

Dean Holt

Personally I really enjoy watching this franchise as I just like most Vampire movies, the first two are definitely the best ones. And then it goes down hill a bit but I still enjoy watching them as they are just easy to watch on and greet to put on to chill out to on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Clay F

I generally agree in that I am not really into the horror genre, and thus get movies reacted to that I am not into, but there are exceptions in that some scary movies are quite good. Plus, I am glad for our fellow patrons who want the horror or "scary" genre.

Mike Lemon

Of course you should get the "treat" first. Glenn Beck tells a story that sums it up perfectly. (paraphrasing) He was out to a meal with a friend, Beck orders then his friend orders, "I would like the [main] and the chocolate lava cake, and I would like to start with the lava cake." Beck and the waitress look at him, "What? Are you serious?" The friend replies, "Yes. I could be dead before the [main] and I don't want to miss the chocolate lava cake." That has stuck with me. Always start with the dessert.

Richard Maurer

Cloverfield won by 3 votes, fortunately. Sorry to the Little Shop fans.

Clay F

If it wasn't tedious.

Clay F

She cuts off the credits.

TigerDelta

Oh of course, I should have thought of that

Larry Darrell

Curious, Cole… why do you prefer DW before B? I’m with Choof, and it seems to be a coin toss at this point to which one comes first.

Mike Lemon

There is no timer at 18ish minutes, so theatrical. edit- Apparently there are two "theatrical cuts". The 4k version swaps out the flashback for scenes from Rise Of The Lycans, the regular Blu-ray used the old scenes.

John Sullivan

Very Dark and edgy! I just want to see First Contact..

Larry Darrell

Her Reaction would be 2 hr 1 min movie - credits + intro + outro. It probably equals out to 2 hrs.

Larry Darrell

I’m with you… The Searchers (1956)… before the end of the year.

Shehab Dawoud

What’s the point of putting something on a poll (The Fly) if you yourself are voting against it and indirectly pushing others to not vote for it? If you don’t want to watch something, just say it. Like you’ve done with The Exorcist. Instead of giving people hope and then working to influence things.

Alex Gorell

Which version is she watching? Edit: I remember enjoying this movie a lot more when I was younger.

David Freese

Well Lycans aren't werewolves. They can turn back and forth at will and retain memories and intelligence. Warewolves do not and need a full moon. So Lycans and Vampires are about even.

David Bennett

Something is jacked up somewhere: I have BOTH versions up and while I can sync both to specific scenes that Cassie is watching, neither version STAYS in sync for long. Is she watching a third version that I can't find mention of or is the speed on her video not right somehow?? Someone help, please!

OddThomas

Kate looks great but it's a very mid film. The only one I really enjoyed was Underworld Awakening. Van Helsing is a better Kate movie.

Mike Lemon

Theatrical. New or old flashback, I don't know yet.

31Mike Reacts

I'd be happy to see people react to the George C. Scott movie "The Changeling", one of the scariest movies that I think I've seen. Aside from that, no other 'scary' movies hold any interest for me. I've done reactions (somewhat unsuccessfully lol), and had I never seen that movie, and assuming I knew of it, I'd do it. But I've seen it several times.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah, I'm still miffed that UNDERWORLD beat out films like DEATH BECOMES HER and ARSENIC & OLD LACE in the poll, so I think I'll be skipping this reaction. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but I saw this movie once and it did nothing for me (which is why I never bothered with the sequels). Beckinsale is cool I guess and Bill Nighy is always worth watching (well, almost always), but this is one vampire movie that I think just (no pun intended) sucks. Sort of a second grade CROW/MATRIX/BLADE wannabe. I like the way Roger Ebert articulated it in his two-star review: "Brendan Gill, the distinguished writer for the New Yorker, offered a definition of pornography that has stood the test of time. A porno movie, he said, is a movie where you become acutely aware that the characters are spending too much time getting in and out of cars and walking in and out of doors. Gill’s wisdom came to mind when Todd McCarthy, writing in Variety, observed of UNDERWORLD that 'there may be more openings and closings of doors in this picture than in the entire oeuvre of Ernst Lubitsch.' That is not the sort of detail that should occur to you while you’re watching a movie about a war between werewolves and vampires."

Stick Figure Studios

While not precisely good, I like VAN HELSING because it has the kind of goofy self-awareness that makes it fun. This movie makes itself way too damn seriously.

Stick Figure Studios

I have a hard time imagining any other reason to watch these movies.

Stick Figure Studios

I like both LITTLE SHOP and CLOVERFIELD, so I'm good either way. It's this film that I don't care for.

ArsTropica

Theatrical, I think (credits are rolling at 1:53:34; extended credits start at 2:05:56).

Stick Figure Studios

Was recently reading a book on John Ford and thinking of revisiting THE SEARCHERS again myself, but I might wait knowing that it could be on the horizon for Cassie.

Matt Rose

always fun to see British thespians slumming it in these films for an easy paycheck.

Matt Rose

It doesn't help that the film series essentially rips off the entire World of Darkness RPG system. But yeah, I enjoy VAN HELSING more. it's stupid as can be but it's also self aware enough to be enjoyable.

Jeri1979

Yeah, its a shame that this movie won the Poll. Like Cassie wrote herself, cheesy at best... I skip it.

Stick Figure Studios

Stephen Sommers films tend to be. I wonder if Cassie would be more interested in that one if we told her it was from the director of the first to Brendan Fraser MUMMY movies.

Stick Figure Studios

I like October, but the crop of films so far this year have not been especially impressive.

Stick Figure Studios

DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE will be a much more satisfying movie if she watches BLADE first.

Larry Darrell

I’ve never watched this one. My roommate in college dragged me to see the 2nd one. There were certainly things in it that were “appealing,” but I never felt the need to seek out the first.

Shehab Dawoud

Well, I personally think teasing should be restricted to the bedroom.

Mike Lemon

@David - I think she is watching a PAL (European) version, set your NTSC (North America and Japan) version to 96% and it stays synced pretty well.

Dan M

I just finished shoveling and spreading 5 yards of mulch into my backyard. If I don’t fall asleep in the shower, I’ll be watching the Yankees hopefully take game 1 of the American League Division Series. This movie will be my nightcap.

Dan M

When did Cassie “push” others to not vote for the fly?

Dan M

Yes, but sometime a mindless action horror movie is just what the doctor ordered. And did I mention that Kate Beckinsale is in it?

Dan M

PIB is a great community

Shehab Dawoud

@Dan M I think on the trivia, while the poll was still going on, she said that she was scared of it. You don’t think that influences some people?

Dan M

Same. I like both movies. But I think Little Shop would be a better reaction.

Mike Lemon

Old flashbacks (so not 4k version) I think.

djKENTO

what does that even mean? Theatrical old flashback not 4k? I’m not buying another copy of this movie if it’s not on the itunes version.

Mike Lemon

Apparently the 4k version swapped out the original flashback for scenes from Rise of the Lycans, but is otherwise the same.

Christian R

Underworld is a guilty pleasure of mine (Kate Beckinsale has a lot to do with that), so I’m glad you are checking it out. Seems to be a lot of divide in comments about the Underworld franchise, but I believe these movies know exactly what they are, and do it well. I hope you are able to continue with the rest of the franchise.

Just Plain Bob

Another great reaction to a fun movie. Cassie, Lycan is short for lycanthrope, the “technical” term for werewolf. Werewolves were initially thought to be in league with Satan. Popular belief had it that they chose to become werewolves and could change at will. Another popular belief was that they used wolf’s skins to effect the transformation. They could be killed in the same ways any animal could. Later, Hollywood got a hold of the legend. Since then, the “rules” have changed from movie to movie. The second entry in the “Underworld” series is also good and furthers the mythology considerably. The third isn’t bad but, as a prequel, does absolutely nothing to further the story (everything of importance that happens in it has already been disclosed in this movie). After that, the series falls off a cliff in terms of quality.

Uncle Phoenix

Btw. iTunes has a re-edited version and it is annoying trying to sync it to Cassie’s version.

Steve Mercier

Just good, stupid fun. And Kate Beckinsale...mmm...Beckinsale...

Chris Retzlaff

I feel a great disturbance in the Force coming into October though 🤣🤣

Uncle Phoenix

“Dread It; Run from It. Destiny is still going to come.”

Brent Petty

You love romcoms. Cheesy is your middle name. :)

Clay F

I liked Discovery of Witches -- S1 in present time and especially S2 in Elizabethan London. Upon rewatch of Underworld (2003) w/your reaction, I have now decided that the physical appearance of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) makes the movie worth watching. Before, Selene being super hot was nice, but not enough. Now it is -- the way it struck me this rewatch. Erika is also a beautiful supplement. The positive of Michael as a good guy helps. Stylish aspects of the movie are good but the cheese (including some of the dialogue) is a downside. Shane Brolly's acting as Kraven was over-the-top to me. Hard to watch the exaggeration. Viktor was laughably excessive at times, and I like Bill Nighy. The movie came across as a weak mess to me. I did find some of the stylish aspects more appealing this rewatch. I know there was some character development but could have been more. Could have shown a kiss in the end.

Wesley White

I'm so happy and glad you enjoyed this movie! I'm at work right now, but the moment I get home, I'm watching your reaction to this! Can't wait 😁✌️👍

K, Zachary

https://youtu.be/Q03tQNojZog?si=Ogq5yvyQAWRNML_h Underworld, my partner if he ever wakes up from his Valium nap will gladly watch this one we or he owns all Kate Beckinsale's movies. He used to think she was the hot 🥵🔥. Apparently he reminds her of Anita Blake from the Anita Blake series by Lauren K. Hamilton. Sorry about the Grammer errors. Oh btw ladies and gents Deadpool & Wolverine is only $29.99 to buy on digital, through Amazon We had to buy it, It was a bargain if ever their was one. Did you know Marvel owns Underworld now to?

scott osborne

that was not cheesy what is cheesy in vampire's that sparkle in sunlight Twilight films they are cheesy as hell just like disney underworld films are great top tier with blade

Richard Maurer

I prefer the original non musical version of Little Shop

JohnnyUtah

Can't really do this one with Carly, good to give it a fair chance! Patiently waiting for Haunting Episodes. Lost my lil buddy today, my black cat in October just not fair and needed the distraction!

Rick Williams

I have always liked the Underworld series of movies. They are fun. Not masterpieces. But fun. You should watch more of the movies. Great Reaction Cassie.

LukeG84

Damn it. This movie isn't available to buy or rent on any of the streaming platforms here in the UK for some weird reason, and all the illegal copies I can find online are the extended version so won't stay in sync. And what's worse, I unboxed my old dvd collection expecting to find it but I've only got 2 and 3. Heavy sigh! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Chris Retzlaff

I miss that late 90s early 2000 dark, blueish, green tint. Matrix, Dark City, Blade, Xmen, Minority Report, etc. This was a pretty solid franchise.

Choof

It's entirely possible that her saying she'd be scared made as many people who like seeing her scared vote for it as much as it deterred them. She's allowed to have preference and it was gonna be Blade regardless

Brian's Dog

Looks like Kate married the director after this movie.

Just Plain Bob

It was actually kind of an ugly story. She was engaged to Michael Sheen, who played Lucian. They also had a daughter together. She met Len Wiseman when they made the movie and dumped Sheen during the production.

Joshua s. Jackson

I think you would like "Monster Squad" it's like The Goonies verses Dracula and the other old movie monsters.

JarHead0351

To me Death Becomes Her won't be on the top of the list - UnderWorld won because it is a good movie and do hope she gets to watch Arsenic & Old Lace, which is another good funny old movie

Clay F

I appreciate your sentiment, but I am not into portions of what you characterize. Underworld is stylish but tedious and derivative, not a solid franchise. I am not a fan of Blade, but I am just not into that action-hero type genre. X-Men is mixed. While I like some of X-Men, I am glad that the X-Men reactions are at end on the channel. Matrix is original. Minority Report is awesome.

JarHead0351

Queen of the Dam & 30 days of night - botyh good movie with twist to it

JAKH

If you have a VPN, it is free on CTV in Canada

JAKH

It would be great if Cassie did 2nd place "Death Becomes Her" and 5th place "Buffy" with Carly. Both are on the comedy side.

JAKH

Cassie has seen Bill Nighy, who played Victor, before in both "Hot Fuzz" and "Shaun of the Dead".

JAKH

Sounds like a branch-swinging "strong & independent modern woman".

Clay F

I think she is trying to expand her horizon and please patrons by including The Fly in the poll, but is hesistant. She is right on the edge. Then, patrons sealed it by voting for the mediocre movie Blade. I voted for The Fly.

Clay F

Yeah, I was fine with past Octobers but this October is the worse.

LukeG84

I do have a VPN but they must have protected against that as you need precise location turned on. Oh well. Thanks anyway. I ended up ordering the dvd on Amazon and paying extra for fast delivery. It arrives today so I won’t have long to wait to watch this reaction.

Clay F

Good point about KB.

Clay F

Her reaction synced perfectly with the stream of the current theatrical version on US Prime Video. No adjustment needed.

zynjams

I love the whole series. hope you continue

Mark Vaderr

Cassie has watched a good amount of horror/scary movies already and some big name titles at that. It's going to be difficult to keep that up every year.

31Mike Reacts

Someone with some 'pull' should suggest the movie that I mentioned, "The Changeling" starring George C. Scott.

ArsTropica

I suspect that quite a few patrons would have loved to see Cassie react to A Discovery of Witches; but I get that sometimes you just want to watch a show without a camera pointed your way.

Thin White Duke

She doesn't like horror; She's terrified watching Jurassic Park. When Cassie says she's scared of watching The Fly she's just being honest

Doug Fisher

She has also seen him in "Love Actually".

Doug Fisher

I have always crushed hard on Kate but as you say, she has never looked hotter than in this movie. I like the whole series, as it took some interesting twists and turns in the Vampire/Werewolf lore, but if you want more of Selene & Michael Cass then definitely watch 2. The trailer for this movie was Dy-No-Mite with a sound track that kicked!" P.S. I can understand why you didn't comment on Bill Nighy (Viktor) being from "Love Actually" as this character was pretty far from that one. ;)

Shehab Dawoud

We can disagree on this. I don’t think a host should try to influence a poll, one way or the other. Again, she’s made it clear that ‘The Exorcist’ is a no-go. Do the same with ‘The Fly’ if you feel that strongly, or give it a proper chance. Remember it lost by one vote last year. She probably voted against it too then.

Thin White Duke

It's her channel she can do what the heck she wants. There are tons of reactions to The Fly if you really want to watch it

Shehab Dawoud

@Thin White Duke Are you also going to pick up her coffee and dry cleaning for today? Yes, you’ve mentioned it 5 times now, either to me or others, that it’s her channel and she can do what she wants. As if we didn’t know or are disagreeing. Either find some other rhetoric or please stop replying to me. Because you’re not reading what I’m saying or getting my point.

David Collins

I was surprised she didn't remember/notice that she just saw Bill Nighy the other day in Hot Fuzz.

David Collins

Yeah she synced fine 100% through for me watching the Amazon Prime theatrical version, which I have owned for some time now.

Wesley White

Wooo!!!! This was one heck of a ride lol! I'm really glad for the most part actually enjoyed watching this movie! It's one of my favorites, heck I love the entire UNDERWORLD franchise! I catagorize this as a Horror/Action genre! Now, I'm not much of a horror fan, but if there is one kind of Horror I actually do like it's Gothic Horror, and this franchise falls in that category! Basically, anything related to Vampires, Werewolves, and even the Frankenstein monster, even SLEEPY HOLLOW falls into that category! Speaking of which, and I joke about this, I mean no disrespect lol, that scene when Billy Nighy (Viktor) gets half his head cut off, that's nothing compared to what you've seen in SLEEPY HOLLOW so I'm surprised you got grossed out so easily🤣 One thing begs the question, if you had to choos Cassie, which monster side would you take, Vampire or Werewolf! Personally for me, I choose Werewolf because in some lore, you only transform once every full moon, sure it will be painful but I still wish to be human in the daylight lol! My personal comments, like you Cassie, Kate Beckinsale is also one of my celebrity crushes lol! She looks beautiful as ever in this and a total bad-A lol! In these kind of movies Cass, gore is par for the course with Vampires and Werewolves lol! And c'mon, not every movie has to have a final kiss, personally this movie didn't need it! Without spoiling anything, the sequels explore more of the lore of this franchise that will help answer many questions you've had throughout this reaction! One of the things I like about the lore in this movie is that the Vampires can actually see the memories and thoughts of others when they drink their blood including one of their own, so good luck trying to keep secrets and lies you may keep from a Vampire lol! Incase you didn't know this Cassie, the scientific term for Werewolf transformation is Lycanthropy hence the term used in this movie Lycan for short lol! As for Bill Nighy (Viktor) he's actually my favorite character in this movie, despite the fact he's a bad guy, but hey he's Bill Nighy aka Davy Jones from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and of course from SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ! Great reaction Cassie, I enjoyed every minute of it, really glad you enjoyed this movie as well! Hope you'll continue the franchise in the future, they're all action packed and fun! Great start for "Scary But Not Too Scary" season lol! Love and support always, you and Carly are the best, God bless you and the family🥰😇🙏😁😉🤗👍✌🌹

Mike Lemon

And Pirates of the Caribbean.

Marcos

Constantine winning the first poll did not augur a good month.

ArsTropica

and the baby daughter was stronger than both parents... the end.

K, Zachary

Can you buy it used? You could get for dirt cheap. I know sometimes it's hard to wait for movies. Especially when you want to watch it with Cassie now. However it might be worth it. Something to look forward to.

LukeG84

Thanks but it was only £4.83 new so it was already dirt cheap. Paid £1.99 extra to get it delivery today as I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow, and it just arrived 5 mins ago so I’m all set. 🍿

Andrew Roach

I also loved the sequel, which had two actors that reappeared together in a beloved Doctor Who episode about Van Gogh. I skipped the third movie because Kate wasn't in it and loved the fourth.

Gray

Yeah rather a pain for us in the UK as it is nowhere, every free online version is either extended or dubbed in a foreign langauge. Fair play for buying it i'll guess i will keep searching.

LukeG84

Yeah I didn’t expect that. Thought it would be on Prime for sure. Let me save you some time. I spent a good few hours looking. I even dusted off my Firestick and checked Kodi. Install new addons and everything. It’s nowhere. Here’s a link to the dvd on Amazon if you decide to buy it too. Only 11 left in stock now. https://amzn.eu/d/2Aj137s

Kyle Reese Popcorn Fan

Constantine isn’t really scary either. It’s very good and I know you want to give the people what they want, but you might have to reconsider it if you want more scary movies in scary but not too scary October.

BibbitduBois

I really like that Cassie called the face strike on Kraven just a second before it actually happened. First time I've ever seen that happen.

Tinkerbell

Cassie, if you liked Discovery of Witches even a little, you should read the books. They are soooooo much better than the series and there are 5 books so far, so there is actually a lot more story than the series portrayed.

Opticblasting3

ouff, this version you're watching is a pain in the ass to find. damn

Mark Vaderr

Cassie, you've seen Twilight, and you're calling Underworld cheesy?

LukeG84

After a lot of faff I was finally able to watch this reaction. This movie isn't available anywhere in the UK for some weird reason, and all the illegal copies online are of the extended version, so I ended up buying the dvd on Amazon. Unfortunately that meant the format was PAL, and we all know America likes to do things differently, so the copy Cassie was watching is in NTSC format, meaning it runs a little slower so I had to constantly keep pausing to remain in sync. That being said, it was great seeing Cassie's reaction to this movie. I knew she would like it, but only because she's watching it now rather than when she first started the channel. She's definitely come a long way in the movies she enjoys, that's for sure. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope she at least watches the next two movies (Underworld: Evolution and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans). She's not great at watching sequels (I’m still hoping she'll get around to the Jumanji sequel, the two Unbreakable sequels and the rest of the Scream franchise) so hopefully the lure of getting the answers to all the questions she had in her outro will get them added to her watchlist. 🙏🏻 P.s. A big benefit of being forced to buy the dvd to watch this reaction is it came with a second disc with all the behind the scenes stuff. Was a super fascinating watch seeing how they made the movie.

pat on

i hate it when there's more than one version of the movie.

pat on

theatrical, i just finished downloading the only theatrical version i could find and it was 32 gig so i had to convert it now it's low quality, i hate the modern internet.

Mojo One Thousand

That's just from reactions... she knows him from "About time" (one of her favourites), she called him "About time dad' in the reaction, and I think "Love Actually" goes without saying, so she knew Bill Nighy before the channel.

Mojo One Thousand

She called him "About time dad", as that the movie "About time" is a favourite of hers which she knows him from prior to the channel - there is an "About time" cover on the wall behind Cassie in older reactions. I was suspecting "Love Actually" as he has a much bigger presence in that compare the "Hot Fuzz" and "Shaun of the Dead" was a while ago, and I don't think he is her biggest take away from that movie. I had forgotten about "About time" until she said it.

Mojo One Thousand

I can't remember if i had seen this at all, so it felt like some of this was new to me. I think I had avoided it for the reason you said, everyone was copying "The Matrix" around that time, and the mucic and visual styling had borrow a bunch from it. That and I had already seen "Blade" and enjoyed it, so I don't think this was going to out-do that for me at that time.

Mojo One Thousand

I forgot he was even in it, and when I was loading it and saw his name I know "Felicity" would get mention.

Mike Lemon

" She's not great at watching sequels" - Hard, hard disagree on that one. She watches way too many sequels.

Mojo One Thousand

Cassie, you have a pretty good intuition when a movie is going to punch someone... this is at least the third I can remember where you have thrown a punch just before the character you wanted to get punched got clocked in some way. "About time" had slipped through my mind for Bill Nighy and I was expecting "Love Actually"... until "About time dad" got rolled out. "Kate Beckinsale has never looked better"... I think "Click" would like a word. I genuinely don't remember if I had seen this, which is a rarity for me, and if I had it wasn't for a long while after it was released. It just seemed very much like "Blade" and "The Matrix". Particularly the latter, and this was right in the middle of the period where many movies were copying the styling, musical choices, and effects (e.g. slow-mo)... so it didn't interest me that much.

Story Archer

Watching Kate Beckinsdale in this for me was like watching Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall was for Carli and Cassie - I'm just glad I didn't have to do it on camera.

LukeG84

I included a few examples in my comment so not sure how you can disagree.

Clarence Newman

Kate Beckinsale is my brother's number one celebrity crush. We have had verbal punch-ups because I've dared to suggest that Rhona Mitra (who was in Underworld 3) is fractionally hotter than Kate. Doesn't matter, of course. They are both well beyond the point where they are literally wasting beauty they could give to others less fortunate. As a Brit, I have to give a shout-out to her Dad, Richard Beckinsale. He achieved huge fame in the 1970s in a British sitcom called Porridge with Ronnie Barker - absolutely my favourite ever British sitcom. Richard tragically died of a heart attack at the age of 32, but I think he would be proud of the daughter he left behind.

Joe J

"Constantine", "Blade", "Cloverfield" will be entertaining reactions, and she also has "Saw" and "It: Chapter 2". I prefer these over comedy-horror any day.

Joe J

Mark, that's true of all genres after 3.5 years of the channel, more popular films will continue to get harder to find.

31Mike Reacts

Joe, I've noticed that a lot of what I consider "B" or "C" level stuff is being reacted to, not just here but others as well. Stuff that I don't even bother thinking about watching. Eventually, the 'worthwhile' stuff is all used up.

Opticblasting3

Ignore him, he isn't the brightest of her followers

Johnny

I hope Cassie watches the rest of the Underworld movies.

Michael Hawk

There is a little over a ten minute difference between the theatrical cut (this one) and the extended cut (what I have). Re-synching was a constant headache after the first 15 minutes. LOL. IMO, there are two more "good" films: the direct sequel and the prequel. The fourth, a continuation of the first two films, is meh. The fifth film is trash, and I couldn't even enjoy the action—dumb even by the rest of the series' standards; it killed the franchise.

Richard Maurer

@Bill Maurer - you might want to check out a YT channel called Movie Joob. She’s been doing nothing but older westerns lately. She hasn’t done the Searchers yet but she’d be open to it.

Richard Maurer

Cassie was influenced by patrons telling her how bad the Fly is (it’s not) , then Cassie influenced the patrons by telling them she’s scared of it. It’s a vicious circle.

Opticblasting3

The theatrical is hard to find online. Crazy work

Bill Maurer

There i a girl from Scotland, I believe, that did a reaction to it. Dawn Marie. Very good and she really liked it and gave it her "Best Movie Ever" award ... she does that a lot though

Astraeos

I definitely vote for at least Underworld Evolution as well. I liked Rise of the Lycans, but I think most don't. I haven't seen the other two past Rise of the Lycans. But really, I'd definitely recommend Underworld Evolution. I think it's almost a bit better than this one. Close though.

TinyJem

are you going to upload this one to youtube?

Richard Maurer

Movie Joob is a girl from Australia named Jade.I first noticed her for her excellent LotR reaction. As for Westerns, she most recently watched The Shootist, and the Man Who Shot Liberty Valence

So I think there is six more I could be wrong but I think there is seven all together. At least I got to cuddle with Zach and he agreed to unblock all your mods on Instagram. He says he did it for you Cassie anyway. I think he is given me permission to be the spokesperson for us. But he still in some pain. So we will see.

Cassie, I watched this movie about a year ago and when I saw Scott Speedman, I was also reminded of Felicity and ended up rewatching that show. I don’t think I’d seen it since it originally aired. I’m not sure what copy of this movie you have, but in the copy I watched, Selene and Michael kiss when she rescues him from being bound to the slab where Lucian was taking his blood. They both knew that Viktor would come for her for helping him. There is more of the two of them in the next movie.

Cassie, I wasn’t sure if you’d recognize the actor, Michael Sheen who played Lucian the head Lycan considering he played Aro, the head Vampire of the Volturri in Twilight

What is it with vampires just getting dressed up like they're going to a ball every day, sitting around drinking blood from wine glasses, smoking cigarettes from holders, throwing money at each other, etc, etc. Wouldn't that just get boring after a few centuries of that? Do any of them stand up and say "Hear me out, y'all just wanna go bowling or something? I'm tired of sitting in this room wearing a tuxedo."
