This is gonna be good. Thanks for all you do and have a Great Weekend! 🎥🧝‍♀️👏🫶

Mike Lemon

Well, huh... I have never seen that before. I had no intention of watching but now I'm curious why it was removed.

Kevin Charley

Because you had no intention to watch it. Way to go, now we're all fucked.

Mike Lemon

Bad news for the channel then. I've only watched two reactions in each of the last two months.

Bill W

Maybe an experiment to see if people viewing it here is taking views away from youtube.

Chris Thom

Was this removed for a reason?

Mark White

Great reaction Cassie, I haven’t seen this for decades! But I do remember liking it. My opinion hasn’t changed, it’s a good watch. I think the difference with the extended cut, is it adds in scenes which makes the whole relationship between them both weirder, I mean, not always a comfortable watch! Gary Oldman is awesome in everything he is in. If you want to see a few more of his performances try: “Darkest hour” 2017 Or if you want to continue the story from silence of the lambs, then he is in the sequel “Hannibal” 2001

Clarence Newman

That's a good shout, Bill. I've always assumed (maybe because I'm stoopid) that a click on here opens in YT and automatically adds the view to YT. If not, it would make a lot of sense for Cassie to stop loading a separate copy on here and just put a link to the YT video instead. That way all of the views go on YT, her revenue increases and and she can buy her own island. All conjecture, of course, until Cassandra hops on here and gives us the skinny.

Chris Thom

Is the vid working for you here?

Mark White

No Chris, I nearly always watch on my telly, YT.

Chris Thom

Oh ok. My net has been glitchy as hell lately so I wanted to make sure.

Chris Thom

I haven't watched many vids here lately either, to be honest. Always enjoy the chats though.

Archronos

Seems fine now, guess there was something wrong last night but it's autoplaying now in this thread for me today

So we are playing catch-up my wild love ( A Doors Song) she had never seen it before. It had been years since I had seen it. She liked it although she thought it was a little unbelievable. I of course liked it which I thought I did. I didn't have any bad memories towards it. She wants to see your reaction to latest The Last Of Us. Then we will finish Mad Max since we started it this morning.

Anthony Carlson

I think it was some kind of glitch on Patreon. It’s up folks! She’s not the only one to have this problem…

Stranger2Reality

Just a reminder, Luc Besson made this movie because he was inspired by the sexual relationship he had with a 12 year old that he had a child with a few years later when she was 15. Besson later went on to be accused of sexual misconduct by a nearly a dozen women.

Don

Cassie - You should watch "The Darkest Hour" with Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. Amazing movie!

Joe J

She saw it before the channel.

Watched this one yesterday, and I have to say, I don't think the relationship dynamic between Mathilde and Leon was too bad. Mathilde was really pushing it for a while (which was squirmy), but in the YT edit at least, Leon did not reciprocate or encourage her AT ALL. He just seemed uncomfortable the whole time, which is as it should be. Again, I only watched the YT edit, so I hope there weren't any real cringey parts in the full version.

T.L.A

Yes, but made a great movie! One of my favorites.

Clay F

I sensed the same with the full reaction. Mathilde was really pushing it for a while, but Leon did not reciprocate or encourage. He just seemed uncomfortable.

Chris Thom

This has 119 thousand views after three days on YouTube.

Chris Thom

Still haven't seen it. But didn't realize this movie was that popular.

Tim Weaver

That's info I didn't need to hear

Richard Maurer

It’s one those movies every reactor “has to do”. To the point where I’m tired of seeing it. Cassie’s reaction was still quite good though.

Richard Maurer

People are very sensitive about this topic (as they should be) but there is such a thing being too sensitive. But still this movie was pushing boundaries, maybe pushing them too far? I can see both sides of the argument.

Richard Maurer

Call me a teachers pet but I only watch the YouTube edits on YouTube, unless they’re unavailable there. I want to be sure Cassie gets YT credit for the watch and likes I give.

Clarence Newman

How bored must you be to answer a 6 day old question on a 9 day old post? You need some other hobbies, my friend. In response, that part of the film did seem superfluous. Who wants to see a 14 year old girl hitting on a 40 year old man?

Richard Maurer

No one’s saying anything interesting on the FAQ post. Besides I just watched this one the other day so it’s relatively new to me. As for your “who wants to see that” question, I think you know what kind of person wants to see that, it’s the basis of the argument against this film.

Clarence Newman

Agreed. As for the quiet period on FAQs, I concur. But even I need a breather once in a while.

I just watched the YT version... and commented there. My observation is that Mathilda was very smart and she was trying to take control of her own life... in her own way using whatever experience she has had up to that point. She had the agency. Compared to Leon who was trapped in the world he was in. You could say they both were using their wiles. Leon had no future, there was no light at the end of his tunnel. But in his time with Mathilda he found a purpose. And Mathilda gets a chance to grow into adulthood and to live a life.
