Hey guys, i’m switching around the schedule a bit, i apologize if that throws anything off for you. I needed to laugh, and carly’s wedding is only a week away, I wanted to show her bridesmaids! this weekend has just been really hard, my son who is going through this medical thing got significantly worse and it’s not just physical, but emotional and neurological and we just feel helpless to help him. I just wasn’t in the right headspace for anything too dramatic or feelie feels!

I adore every character in this in the way that you can hardly watch!! haha

Fun watch!

Cole Jennett

You should do whatever makes you happy even for a little while. It’s your channel. Hoping for the best❤️

Jenny_M

Sending best wishes to your son!

Matt Rose

IT'S LAVA!!!!!!! Very funny movie.

Choof

I hope everything improves for you and your family. That's more important than anything

Blake Evans

It’s all good. I love this movie too. Take a break, feel better, take care of your family. A Monster Calls, though great, is a very “in the feels” movie. I think we all need to laugh more anyway.

Eric C.

I feel like you've been on a steady diet of dark and depressing. You deserve some laughter! 💯

Eric C.

And we're sending love to you and you son. 🙏

Clarence Newman

Cassie. I wouldn't be against you doing this more often. You often pile on one tough movie after the other, so if you need a little oasis somewhere in the middle, you go for it. I look forward to watching this with you and Carly.

Robert da Spruce

Sorry to hear that your son is dealing with health issues. I wish him all the best On a much happier note, I wish Carly and her Fiancé all the best on their upcoming nuptials. I hope the wedding is all she hopes it will be! As far as Bridesmaids goes, very funny movie! And very fitting for the week ahead! All the best to you and your family Cassie!

Zane From Canada

Thank you for the unexpected surprise. This is an excellent choice, considering Carly's upcoming nuptials. 😊 So sorry to hear about your boy. 😔 Whatever he's going through, I hope he recovers quickly and painlessly.

Joe J

Prayers for your son Cassie.

K, Zachary

One of our favorites! This is a great romcom. We will have to watch this one tonight.

Stick Figure Studios

So sorry to hear about your son, Cassie. :-( I hope things improve for him soon. In the meantime, you do what you got to do viewing-wise. Sometimes life is such that we really do just need to laugh at something and this is indeed a funny movie. I hope Carly enjoys it. Congratulations to her on her upcoming nuptials. Hope it goes well for her.

James UK

No need to apologise. You do whatever you need to do. Wishing you all well.

Chris Thom

So sorry about your son. Was really, really hoping it was a temporary stress response that would go away on it's own. Wishing him the best. On a lighter note, this movie being reacted to is such a fantastic surprise. One of my very first suggestions for you and Carly.

Celeste McAllister🍓

Congratulations Carly,Cheers and Health and Happiness and a bright future.😎❤️ 🍾🍼

Doug Adair

You and your family are in my prayers.

Ted Whalen

Cassie- I am so sorry to hear that your son is continuing to experience health issues. I am sure that this is a very difficult situation for you all. I hope that things start to get better for your son!

Anthony Carlson

Do what’s best for you. Don’t worry about us, take care of your family. And, congratulations once again for Carly’s upcoming wedding!

Dean Holt

Really sorry to hear your son’s still not doing any better. I know it’s really difficult as you just feel like you can’t do anything. But just being there for him (which i know you will be as you seem like you’re an awesome mother) will be some comfort for him. It’s completely fine regarding the switch around. And I’ve been saying it for the last few weeks they needs to be more lighter films and comedy’s on the channel. As you’ve definitely been watching a lot of heavy movies lately. But regarding BM I have to be honest, I think every Paul Feig film I’ve seen I just don’t really find funny. Melissa McCarthy just really annoys me and I just thought this was trying to be the female version of The Hangover and it just didn’t work for me. But I really hope Carly enjoyed it and I hope she has an amazing wedding day.

Patrick

Hopefully ur son feels better soon

kaiielle

I 100000% agree with this!

kaiielle

It's been a very long time since I last watched this, so this was a nice surprise and I'm excited to watch with you two. Cassie, my heart breaks for what you're going through with your kiddo and I'm thinking about you all often and wishing and hoping for good outcomes. ❤️ Definitely echoing what others have said in that you could definitely do this sort of thing more often and just insert movies that YOU want to do whenever you like. 😊 Especially if you want it for a mood booster and to be happy and laugh. We like seeing you happy!

Cole Jennett

I honestly think this surpasses the Hangover, and I really liked it a lot. The first, not the sequels

Ike

It seems I have been praying for children all week! Your son, my nephew, one niece and a friend’s daughter high school graduation to be leaving home soon. The only scripture that has taken my mind off of it has been, “… lean not on YOUR own understanding and trust in the Lord,” and I can’t remember where I saw it or heard it - but it was this weekend. I will continue to believe that this will be resolved and give you a peace you didn’t think was possible as a mother. 🩷 This is my mother’s favorite, all time comedy. I guess I should watch it for once. Congrats to Carly!!! - whenever the Big Day happens.

Alex Gorell

I hope your son gets better soon Cassie.

Larry Darrell

If you’re looking for another Feel Good Romantic Comedy, that I believe you haven’t seen, check out… Juliet, Naked (2018), starring two of the stars of Bridesmaids, Rose Byrne and Chris O’Dowd. I sent you a Blu-ray copy of this film about a year ago. No Reaction Required. Stay Positive. 🙏

Benjamin Guzman

I showed this to my mom once and she didn't like it. She found the main character pretty unlikable.

Dean Holt

Yeah it’s fine if you think that. Personally I think The Hangover was the last really funny comedy movie to have been made imo. As I just think studios are just scared that some people might be offend now.

bknsty14

She's very unlikable

BibbitduBois

I'm so sorry you and your family are going through something like this. We're all thinking about you and wishing you the best. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery for your son. Take care of him and yourself.

Brent Petty

Hope things improve for your son, Cassie. Best wishes to Carly as well.

Mark White

Well said Kaiielle. Totally agree.

Cole Jennett

Your reaction to second hand embarrassment is one of my favourite things, and this movie is full of it😂

Story Archer

I'm sure that you know that you and your family have nothing but the utmost support and understanding from all of us... and Carly is going to be such a beautiful bride! I hope for nothing but the very definition of a fairytale life for her and her new family.

Story Archer

I wouldn't call her 'unlikeable', but she's pretty difficult to sympathize with, at least for me. She's sort of a female Michael Scott in that regard. You pity him even as you laugh at him, but you rarely relate to him.

Dan M

Whatever works best for you, Cassie. I understand your emotions right now with what your son is going through. I hope you and Ben get the information you need to help him get through this. A movie like this makes sense right now, for more than one reason. Besides, I absolutely love this movie. All of my best wishes and prayers go out to you and your family that your son’s health improves soon, and that Carly has the best weekend of her life.

Dan M

Totally agree as well.

Alex Gorell

What version of Bridesmaids are they watching? regular or unrated??

Gary Brown

I'm okay with the switch. i'm excited to watch this with u. My thoughts are with u and ur family. When u say emotional and neurological, the 2 things that come to mind are autism and epilepsy . I'm 55 and recently i found out i was autistic. i've always known i was different. As far as epilepsy, i've had it since i was 3 weeks old. i recently had a seizure and hurt my back and chest, and have to be careful how i move right now. I don't wanna panic u because i'm not a medical professional, but i'm being positive . I'm glad u feel comfortable enough to share events in ur life with all of us. I agree that u deserve some levity and this film should do it..Sending lots of love ur way.

Scott Macaulay

I consider this one of the best girl movies for guys.

Gábor Árki

Sorry to hear your son still isn’t doing any better. It’s been some time now, so I really hope whatever is going on gets resolved soon and he starts to improve.

Above Average Dave

So sorry to hear about your son's illness, Cassie. God Bless. Is there anything we can do to help? Seriously.

Chris Thom

Looks like whichever one is on Peacock right now.

Chris Thom

So, soooo much in this one. lol

Clay F

I've been wondering about your son. Sending positive waves. This movie is a great idea.

Mark White

Cassie, you clearly have a lot of responsibilities, Mother to three, Wife, family, your social circle, Church, sport groups etc AND I have a gut feeling you put yourself under a lot of work pressure, probably because the success of your channel is not only a source of pride but more importantly a big source of your family income. So, maybe you feel you just have to “carry on”! No matter what you are personally going though, because you are worried people might leave the channel. (Which they won’t) I think some people have already made some good suggestions, like picking a few more light hearted movies each month. No polls, just pick them yourself, so three or four PPOTM. I will suggest going a step further! If you find the schedule is too much sometimes, drop it down to two movies a week for a while, or (and this maybe hard!) drop the podcast for a month or so. I know this may feel a little drastic, BUT, if you carry on as you are, there may come a time when it’s too tough to cope with it all and then you will CRASH! Stress, Fatigue, anxiety all of which means you won’t be able to work at all! And then it would be bad! Your life already seams like it is at 100% without PiB, sick children, sudden events beyond your control. In my humble opinion you need to create some space in your hectic life, so that when you do have a sickness or family issues, you don’t feel under so much time pressure. I don’t mean to come across as overbearing, I’m just (like many of us) a worried friend who cares about you and this channel. I also wish to say, I think there is little chance of people leaving PiB, it’s actually become (I don’t mean to cause offence!) more than just about you now. It’s a community of people who love coming on here and chatting about movies with each other. A place where we can get away from our troubles to chat and banter away, as well as watch your wonderful reactions. So even if you feel you need a break, we will entertain each other with our silly humour and film knowledge in the comment sections. While you take a well earned rest. I hope your Son gets well soon. Enjoy your sisters wedding. Most of all take it easy! You are the best ❤️

Alex Gorell

Idk which one that is I’m going to assume the regular one.

Eric

The theatrical/normal version of 125 minutes.

James M

I hope things get better for your son. Adjusting to any kind of physical problem is hard. Our bodies are imperfect but they are all we have. Also knowing as a parent that your children struggle is very difficult. You do what you can and keep thinking it's not enough. You aren't alone with those feelings. We all are with you.

MrKsummer7

Cassie, if possible, since there are different release versions of films, theatrical, unrated, Director’s Cut etc., could you please include in yout post what film version you are watching.

DAVID COSTELLO

Family first. Thinking of you and them.

Anthony Perez

Carly getting married!? This is going to ruin weddings for every woman from now on as none will look as fabulous as Carly will. Is the groom Tom Cruise?

Cole Jennett

lol, Wilson Phillips is definitely a guilty pleasure😂

kaiielle

Mark, I'm so happy you pointed out the community aspect as a reason that people stay here, because that is very true of a lot of online communities (not just reaction channels and their spaces). People click in here daily to chat with others, even when no reactions are shared that day on Patreon or on YouTube. That is important too!

Chris Thom

Feel like they gave that album out with the CD players back in the day. Everyone and their mother had it.

bgb1975 (Brian)

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, Cassie. Don't hesitate to reach out to your patrons.

Chris Thom

Castaway with Carly might be a great rewatch if you ever choose to do that. Personally thought this was a lot of fun, even though you'd already seen it. Still an entertaining reaction.

Cole Jennett

You haven’t done a ton of Rose Byrne on the channel but Carly would have seen her in the X-Men prequels as well. My introduction, and I imagine the majority of us, was in Troy.

Chris Thom

I wonder how many know Wicker Park. That was the first Rose Byrne movie I ever saw. And I like it a lot. Pretty solid romantic thriller mystery.

Cole Jennett

I think this is a perfect example of why “revisiting” a movie (especially if it’s not already on the channel) can be a good thing. Add Castaway to a very long list.

Chris Thom

Oh good one. My mom loves that movie.

Chris Thom

I think so. And it's a good opportunity to talk more about what they like about a film because they've had more time to digest the plot and themes and performances.

Chris Thom

I think I really need to expand my knowledge of autism because I never would've guessed by your comment.

Jacob Lunbeck

Continuing to send prayers your family's way and hoping for a quick recovery for your son.

Matty1003

Very sorry to hear your son is struggling, it’s always the worst when the kiddos are hurting. Wish him a speedy recovery, sending positive vibes to your family💙💙💙

Clarence Newman

Several of us have tried to say something similar down below, but Mark has infused the required eloquence into it. To paraphrase Smokey and the Bandit, one of your very happiest reactions: Your devoted mob: "Oh no, we're never leaving you, Cassie. That's a promise." Cassie: "Don't you ever....ever!.....threaten your reactor like that again!"

clutchkman

Very funny movie! Best wishes to Carly and prayers 🙏 for your son.

Chris Thom

You kind of have to think back to a time when everything felt stacked against you and how that felt. Then she feels way more relatable. But yeah it's kind of a hard watch because there's so much negativity and cringe for most of the movie.

Björn Karlsson

As always. Your kids and family is the most importent...

OddThomas

A very underrated and hilarious Kristen Wiig movie is Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar. Think female Austin Powers.

Chris Thom

Jamie Dornan's music video in that...lol

Steve Mercier

Hope this gave you a bit of relief...it's an absolutely spectacular comedy.

Mark White

Eloquence, very kind of you Clarence. But I would swap that in a heart beat for even half of yours and Richard Wit and Humorous writing ability. All I can say is, watch out Ben Elton and Richard Curtis! 😆

Rick Rodriguez

No need EVER to apologize for taking care of your family and yourself. Thoughts and Prayers for your son.

Chris Thom

Classic. Also very rewatchable for some reason. Has to be one of the most played movies on cable of all time. Pretty impressive considering the cast for the majority of the film is one guy.

Bill Maurer

Prayers for your son, you and your entire family. As well as Carly's upcoming nuptials !!

Philip Alan

One of my favorite comedies. Nothing but positive thoughts for your son's recovery. Please take time off the channel if need be to take care of your child. It was great to see you smile & laughing a lot.

Clarence Newman

This is off-topic, but Cassie seems to be going through it right now, so I feel the need to offer some random uplift from the bathroom walls of Merry Olde England: "Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is a quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, "I'll try again tomorrow."" "Do more of what makes you happy." "Going on one more round, when you don’t think you can - that’s what makes all the difference in your life." "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain." "Living with anxiety, turning up and doing stuff with anxiety, takes a strength most people will never know." "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it." "Life is like driving a car at night. You can never see further than your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way." "When the need is highest, the help is nighest." We're a poetic bunch over here, especially when we've had a few pints of heavy. While I'm sober, though, I'd like to remind you of something. There may be a lot of fun involved in what you do, but it is also your JOB. Just like the rest of us, you get sick days and compassionate leave, so please start taking them every now and then. We'll still be here when you get back.

Rick Rodriguez

That was a sort creative team follow up, right?

Cory

Cassie, praying for answers so that your son will get better. All the best to you.

Canadianant

Feel free to make an audible when you need to. Great timely choice with Carly's upcoming nuptials. This was wonderful to see some big laughs and smiles. All the best to Carly. I'm sorry your going through it with your son right now . You put so much positivity out there in the world so I hope it comes back to you and your family. You have a whole community here behind you. If you need to take some personal time we are still here.

Just Plain Bob

Cassie, sorry to hear that your son is going thru such a hard time right now. You’re obviously in all our thoughts and best wishes for his speedy and complete recovery. If you’re looking for more light hearted fare starring Kristen Wiig, I’d suggest “Paul”, co-starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The stars (and real life besties) of “Hot Fuzz” reunite to play buddies from England on a road trip to America to attend the San Diego Comic-Con. Wiig becomes the fourth member of their little troupe, the eponymous Paul being the third (to say more about him would spoil the movie). It’s light hearted and fun, through and through.

Dan M

So well said, Mark. I think you nailed what each and everyone one of us wanted to say, but for whatever reason didn’t or couldn’t say it as well as you did. Cassie is, of course, the main reason I have become such a huge fan of PiB. But a close second is this community. I’m not one to spend a lot of time on social media, but chatting with you and all the PiB patrons has become a very big part of my daily activities, and I feel like I’ve made some great connections here. Thank you for being one of those patrons, and thank you for expressing what we are all probably thinking right now.

Dan M

I agree with all the comments in this thread. A rewatch of Castaway with Carly would be fantastic. Id like to throw in a vote for a re-watch of Forrest Gump and Grease for the channel after Castaway.

Samuel Champ

Prayers for your son, rest of the family, and you. Nothing else really matters.

Chris Thom

Is Paul part of the ice cream trilogy or whatever it's called?

Chris Thom

Kristen Wiig wrote both movies with the chick on the plane who's also afraid of flying. And the music video is right in the middle of the movie. lol

Chris Thom

Forrest Gump is at the top of my list for rewatch. And maybe One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest. And Interstellar I guess mostly for channel ratings.

My_Cousin_Mose

Thats very sad to hear. I hope and pray your son gets better.

Uncle Phoenix

When I first saw this movie, I was so Traumatized by the food poisoning scene that I completely blacked out on the rest of the movie. Now that I have seen it again, I think that it was a very good and sweet movie. LOL. Crazy but sweet.

Gray

First time watch for me and this was fantastic, I love this sort of comedy it gave me so many laughs. Always meant to watch it as it had Chris O'dowd in who I knew well from the I.T Crowd which is a really fun British Comedy. Spy would be another good one to do when you want to take a break from a run of rougher movies, It has Melissa McCarthy in the main role. Sending best wishes to you and your family.

Gray

No it's a different director, World's End is the third cornetto film

K, Zachary

So this is part of my fiancee's collection which we saw it in the theater together. I don't know the Cubs are on its the bottom of the 9th. There up 7-6. She is already an hour into watching it with you two We watched this together twice already. Cubs take priority. She's says that I will never understand about being a Maid Of honor she has been one 4 times. Or a bridesmaid too many to count. I have only been a groomsmen like three times. So apparently I can't say anything. She says a good thing about being Mayan is I don't have to tan. I am already more than tan. The Marlins just walked it off son of gun. She's laughing with you that's a good thing. She' says if you love this you will love Rough Night, This is 40, Trainwreck and 27 Dresses. Bad Moms is a really funny . One more thing we are both praying for your son Cassie and for his parents.

Just Plain Bob

Chris, “Paul” is not part of the Cornetto Trilogy, although it features the same two leads as the movies in the trilogy (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost). As Gray mentioned, the third entry in the trilogy was “The World’s End.” Although good, it’s not as fantastic as “Shaun of the Dead” or “Hot Fuzz.” The key components of the trilogy are that, in addition to starring Pegg and Frost, they were all directed by Edgar Wright and co-written by Wright and Pegg. The three first came together on “Spaced”, a British comedy that only ran for two seasons. It’s a geek’s delight, with too many pop culture references to count, and one of my absolute favorite tv shows. Frost was not an actor prior to the show. He and Pegg met at a party and Pegg thought he was the funniest person he’d ever met. They became best friends and Pegg suggested him for the part of “Mike” on the show. Also of interest, Pegg’s co-creator of the show was Jessica Hynes. She plays his roommate in the show but she’s probably better known as the leader of the alternate/better version of Shaun’s group in “Shaun of the Dead.”

Mark White

Thanks Dan, I always look for your comments, they are always full of positivity and kindness.

Mark White

Blimey Clarence, you’ve brought me to tears with some of those, especially the anxiety one. Well said. We all need time off.

Mark White

Bob, I have been wanting Cassie to watch “Paul” for sometime now. I love the cornetto Trilogy, but I think Cassie will enjoy Paul that little bit more. Good suggestion.

Mark Vaderr

God Bless your son, Cassie, and your whole family too. ❤

Larry Darrell

If Cassie ever wanted to take some time off, like say a month or so, to get things straight and figure things out, and not have the burden of “MUST watch movies,” when she may not be in the mood… I know I’d still be here, when she came back. I don’t know her situation, but just thinking if money was ever an issue… if she didn’t think she could take that much time off. People on here keep talking about YouTube views being low. Again I don’t know her situation. But… I had an idea that I thought I’d put up on the Idea Board. I might be speaking out of turn, if so excuse me, but here goes. These are just ideas for anyone with the means, and if Cassie approved and liked the ideas. If any editors in the PiB community wanted to volunteer some pro bono work… To fill in for new YouTube Edits… Greatest Hits videos could be made, showcasing some of the best moments from the very beginning. Supercut videos of past reactions could be made. Take at least 3 films, such as series or films from the same genre and combine them into one video. It seems like I read in the comments ALL the time, people recommending films that Cassie already has a reaction to. The Pick-A-Flick even has recommendations for reacted to films. So that says to me, new subscribers are subscribing based off of just new material and don’t even know about the old. So if the old, which people forgot about or don’t even know, gets brought back and showcased in a new way, such as Greatest Hits of scenes or Supercuts, then it would be New Material again, and just might garner a bunch of views. It can also remind new subscribers and possible new subscribers that PiB’s catalog is hundreds of films deep. There have been some reactions, mainly older films, that never got a YouTube Edit, because the cost of an editor wouldn’t be worth the views. Someone could do a YouTube Edit for these, or possibly release the Full Reaction for free. Which could lead to releasing more older reactions from way back as Free Full Reactions. I had an idea about the Batman ‘89 Reaction as well. What if someone edited the reaction in a way that makes a joke of it. You could add graphics to certain parts. Joke thought bubbles. Add things like info boxes, that correct the girls on things they were getting wrong. Something that pops up from time to time, that says the things people at home might have been “annoyed” about, that the girls were saying. The whole thing could be playfully joking on Cassie and Carly. It could also be playfully joking on Us the audience and what our reaction, and most likely the YouTube crowd would be. Make the whole thing playful and address the elephant in the room. Turn the reaction into something everyone can laugh at. Something that addresses its flaws in a comical way. That could be a huge hit on YouTube. I say all this, when I, myself don’t have the means to edit anymore. My Final Cut Pro software is almost 20 years old and outdated. I could pitch in helping to log moments for some greatest hits stuff. And I’d be willing to try and help any other way I can. If any of this is too much forward thinking and something that’s not my business, then please tell me to shut up. So like I said, I’m just putting this up on the Idea Board. Running it up the flagpole and seeing if anyone salutes it. :-) (Name that Movie ;-)

R F.

We will add you and your family to our prayers.

KyloJames

CASSIE!! This was such a fun watch along! LOL’ed the entire way with you guys! This was like top 3 comedy reactions from your channel (“Airplane” and “Austin Powers” being the top two), and I’m greatly appreciative 😂💀💀 Also, keeping your family in my thoughts 🙏🫶

Keith Jacobsen

Great, Carly had part of Castaway spoiled a WEEK before her wedding! Anyways, congrats and have fun in Paris or whatever. Also if you think Kristen Wiig's love interest, Officer Rhodes (Chris O'Dowd) was funny, his big break was in The I.T. Crowd, not really to react to or anything, but it's very funny.

Clay F

Castaway Forrest Gump Good Will Hunting

Steve

Sending prayers and well wishes to you, your son and your family Cassie. Hope he is feeling better soon.

Clay F

I enjoyed rewatch (and the reaction). Funny movie. I like the ending. Kristen Wiig is excellent (funny) in prominent role in: --“ADVENTURELAND” (2009) (comedy/romance) [RT=89%]. J. Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Ryan Reynolds, Kristen Wiig. 1987. --“WHIP IT” (2009) (sport/comedy) [RT=86%]. Lead as Ellen Page (e.g., Juno). Drew Barrymore (also director). Kristen Wiig. Roller-derby. Chris O'Dowd (Rhodes the cop) is great in a lead role in this excellent movie: --"THE SAPPHIRES” (2012) (comedy/drama) [RT=91%]. Based on a true story

Clarence Newman

I think it predates any movie it was used in, Larry, beginning with ad executives in the 50s and "the men in grey flannel suits". It was definitely used in the film "12 Angry Men."

Clarence Newman

Not sure about the Supercut suggestion. Sounds like a hell of a lot of work, and I'm not sure how much gain there would be for Cassie. Patrons who have that level of editing skill would probably be happy to do one or two pro bono, but not as a regular thing.

Gray

Cast Away reaction at some point then

Ignis Rændl

i hope your son gets better soon 🙏 thoughts and best wishes to your family, Cassie and Carly.

Larry Darrell

12 Angry Men (1957) is what I was going for, since Cassie has done a reaction. 💯

Cole Jennett

He was also in the MCU as the poor guy competing for Jane Foster’s affections with Thor😂

TheSingulatarian

Cornetto. I don't think "Paul" counts. I forget the reason why. Funny movie though.

Mojo One Thousand

Sorry to hear that things have not improved with your little fella, hopefully it turns around soon. And, best wishes for Carly on her big day, hopefully the lead-up hasn't been as chaotic as it is in this movie. Whatever you need to do will be fine with me, you need to do what is best for you and your family. I haven't seen this in a while, but I have always enjoyed it since it came out. I am also onboard if there needs to be more comedy movies appear on the channel, always good to break up the heavier fare. I did think that this would have some tougher spots for Carly's sensibilities, and that was the case from right from the jump, and also the wedding dress shop scene... "It's coming out of me like lava!"... never fail to crack me up. It is funny that Cassie and Carly do seem to have quire different tastes in what tickles their funny bones. I still remember the first time I saw Kristen Wiig in something, it was a small reality TV show called "The Joe Schmo Show", which the recent show "Jury Duty" borrows a lot of its premise - there is only one person that is real and the remainder are actors. Kristen Wiig was one of the actor, and I did think she was good and I hope she goes onto to more stuff... cue seeing her in SNL and movies several years later. There was a mention this being similar to Amy and Tina, and I am assuming that was meant Poehler and Fey, and there is actually a comedy that I have always wanted to see Cassie and Carly watch which starts both of them as sisters called "Sisters" (2015), and I have wanted to see if there is anything they can related to. It is a bit of a guilty pleasure movie for me. Another couple of guilty pleasure movie is also directed by Paul Feig (director of "Bridesmaids", one is "Spy" with Melissa Mccarthy and Rose Byrne, or "The Heat" with Mccarthy and Sandra Bullock. I like many folks am familiar with Chris O'Dowd from the great British sitcom "The IT Crowd". Just on the "Castaway just came in on Netflix" line... I liked that Cassie seemed to spike the camera when Carly said she hadn't seen it, acknowledging that there has been a bit chatter around rewatches for Cassie/new for Carly (with this being a rewatch for Cassie). And, there also seemed to be a bit chuckle from Cassie about it, as it seemed like an older person misspeaking about technology not from their generation. However, at the time this movie was made, Netflix would still have been mailing DVDs to members as streaming wouldn't have existed, so the use of "came in" meant that the DVD had arrived at their house.

Mojo One Thousand

"Spy" also has Rose Byrne in it, and is has the same director as "Bridesmaids", Paul Feig.

Mojo One Thousand

I actually listened to a Chynna Phillips song a few hours before this dropped, it is a product of growing up through the 90s, and my sister playing music over-and-over in my youth, so some things have stuck and in my playlists.

Cole Jennett

90% of my exercise playlist is from my youth. I don’t think I have a single song post pandemic on my phone😂

I am biased about this one, so I may be the only one to bring it up. Rose Byrne is in another movie that is on the channel, "This is Where I You". And being an Aussie, my introduction to here was a bit earlier than "Troy", I am pretty sure that the Aussie movie "Two Hands" (with Heath Ledger) was the first time I saw here in something.

Chris Thom

Sisters would make for a fun reaction.

Larry Darrell

@Brett - I Truly agree with everything you just said. Thank You. That’s how I’ve always felt. I stepped outside myself a little with that comment. That is something that I would bring up with someone that I know personally, and Cassie is someone I don’t.

Mike Lemon

129 comments and I haven't seen anyone mention the bald brother/roommate was in Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire, a great swords and sorcery spoof TV short series.. Okay, great is stretching it, but it's funny for what it is. Anybody that likes the genre should check it out.

Chris Thom

When we talk about view counts and such, I think it's mostly for fun. Like playing studio heads for a minute and trying to guess at what would help the channel stay successful. But I don't know that they're actually hurting financially. My guess is that they're not...but I just don't know. If they do have financial troubles they have a ready made support system on two BIG platforms. So I think they'll be alright. I mean just people donating $5 and they could have a giant chunk of change. If anyone actually needs help in that way, I would imagine it's more the viewers.

Chris Thom

Think he was in the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland too. As the twins.

Mister Lou

fun movie and fun reaction! I wish Carly and her significant other all the best!

I love weddings. My wife and I have somehow attended TWENTY-SEVEN weddings together. Congratulations, Carly!

Yaisu

Congratulations Carly!

Chris Thom

Cornetto. Thank you. Was thinking it was something Italian.

Chris Thom

Congrats Carly! Hope everything goes great with the ceremony and party. Love that you two did this one. Possibly my favorite comedy reaction on the channel now. Also kind of cute how proud Cassie looked when Carly said she continued with the tv show of a movie they watched on the channel. I didn't even know that show existed.

Chris Thom

Dang you do like weddings. That's a lot.

Clarence Newman

If Cassie hasn't arranged a full "Love Actually" version of All You Need Is Love, where every guest stands up and plays an instrument, then she's a very bad sister.

Chris Thom

Heard she didn't even plan the fireworks or laser show yet. Unacceptable.

Cole Jennett

Turns out Carly doesn’t even like Love Actually.🤯 If I was Cassie, I wouldn’t even show up, lol

Clarence Newman

That's it, I'm unsubscribing. What on earth do you watch on Christmas Day if you don't like Love Actually???

Chris Thom

Carly's fave is totes Eyes Wide Shut. Because she's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma.

Clarence Newman

Obvs you're joking, Chris, because Eyes Wide Shut is totes too weird for our Carlos.

Mojo One Thousand

I think so especially if it is both the PIB sisters. I was catching up on the Popcorn to Go podcast, and Cassie did talk about her enjoyment of the Amy Poehler podcast, and an episode that had Ike Barinholtz on it. He is also in "Sisters", so it does seem to be movie that might suit them down to the ground.

That is Matt Lucas, a British comedian. He is probably most famous for his partnership with David Walliams on the popular British comedy series "Little Britain". I didn't think it would mean to much to the would mean to much to the North American centric patreon community... but there is bunch of comments about another British comedy show, "The IT Crowd" because of Chris O'Dowd.

keoma songs

I agree about SPY, I enjoy it much more than other Feig comedies. Probably what helps makes it so great is Statham doing straight comedy. He and McCarthy had incredible comedic chemistry and timing together.

Mike Lemon

Would you recommend Little Britain?

Mojo One Thousand

I didn't really see that much of it, so I can't really make a recommendation. But it was very popular, so I was aware of it, and so it was enjoyed by a large number of people. I think there far too many people quoting, and likely not doing a good job, that probably keep me away, so I may not have been fair to it.

don marshall

help me im poor has always been my favorite line from this movie! lol

Chris Thom

Lol. That pops into my consciousness quite a bit.

don marshall

this movies very quotable haha

Chris Thom

It definitely is. Watching Batman Returns the other day reminded me how quotable that one was too.

YodatheHobbit

I've needed to see this again for a long time.

Chris Thom

Oh crap I just randomly remembered what the Joe Schmo Show was. That was kind of an oldie in the reality tv game. With an insane (and pretty mean) premise. Had totally forgot she was in that.

Mojo One Thousand

There were mean elements to it, but the "Joe" was endearing enough that all of the actors at some point did feel bad for having to do the meaner elements. It was in the early days of the reality/unscripted TV world we live in now, and it was part of the alternative group of shows that funnily disproportionately had "Joe" in the title.

fastecp1

That was funny. Congratulations Carly
