Chillllll. They’re great movies! ‘Kingdom’ is the last, but it’s also the best imo (next to ‘Dawn’). Excited to see her and Carly react to that one!

All the voters said NO to Battle so I rewatched and it’s Roddy McDowel’s best performance, it has family values and because we all thought it was the last one it wraps up the story nicely. Watching Tim Burton’s version is akin to taking an ambien.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is worth watching. A brand-new story. Disney/Fox plans on make five more I have heard and bring everything up to tie into the 1968 film.

Clyde > Maurice. Having a human being play an orangutan in the Apes remakes is just another form of modern Hollywood whitewashing! And throw in “Any Which Way You Can” as a must-see. Manis (Clyde’s real name) and Clint Eastwood did more for interspecies relationships than all other movies combined. Lassie can suck it! Same goes for Flipper and Flicka. For that matter, the same goes for all those other Hollywood animal actors. Clyde was the real deal. Clyde forever!

She only watched a few of the OG series episodes, Patrick - Trouble with Tribbles, Amok Time, Space Seed & City On The Edge of Forever. She then went on to the movies. Given how much she enjoyed herself, there seems little doubt she'll be revisiting the series at some point.

A glaring oversight. Although, in the Star Trek: TNG episode "Genesis", where the entire crew de-evolves back to an earlier form, the monkey they chose for Picard was a pygmy marmoset.

Clarence - I could do some sciency stuff here to point out why a human regressing to a new world monkey like a marmoset doesn’t make sense, but I won’t because it would be pedantic………….okay, I can’t help myself. New world monkeys aren’t direct ancestors of humans. Basically, while sharing a common ancestor with humans new world monkeys aren’t in the same evolutionary line, they’re on a different branch of the evolutionary tree. Now you know - probably more than you wanted to know. Too bad, I enjoy this stuff and I’m here to make one person happy - me.
