Hey guys-can May be over now? I can't believe the last week of school lined up with wedding week but I just feel so immediately behind and out of control haha. It's all good stuff, just a lot! I know come summer though I am going to be craving routine and a to-do list! My parents and brother and sister have arrived and it is so fun to all be together-- the best part of weddings-and the forever love of course! bI just have to write a poem/speech, choreograph a cousin dance, make a slideshow of their lives and yes, still find a dress haha Don't worry we have 2 days!

This week we already had TLOU and A Monster Calls which had a switcharoo with Bridesmaids last week. We will be back to regular scheduled programming next week! This week on YT we have already had TLOU and 12 Monkeys and MAD Max will be the other YT for the week!

Ok guys-it is about to be pollmania. It took an above average amount of energy to sort and categorize and narrow down all the "based on true stories" suggestions. Kind of didn't realize how many movies are based on a true story haha. We are going to have 4 separate polls and really turn this into a thing!

Coming up soon besides Kingdom and the poll winners will be the 2nd Mad Max and the Sum of all Fears!

Ok guys back to the fam damily, thank you for being patient with me this month! I love the socks off of you!

Have fun this week! Thanks again for all you do! 🎥🧝‍♀️🍿👏🫶

Maria Soberanis

I'm waiting on Double Jeopardy. Unless I missed it somehow??

Chris Retzlaff

Road Warriors!! Frick yeah!! Looking forward to all three coming up.

Cole Jennett

The Sum of All Fears, my favourite Jack Ryan movie! Nice! Well tied, with Hunt for Red October now that I think about it, but still nice!

Alex Gorell

Congrats to Carly and her soon to be husband.

MikeLL

Wow, Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior, Kingdom of Apes, and 4 freaking polls based on True Events? Ok, time to get excited folks!

Joshua Campbell

Speaking of Zombies, I recommend Dawn of the Dead 2004 Unrated Version & 28 Weeks Later. Please?

Robert Jewell

Not to worry. As long as you're enjoying the wonderful events of your life routine or not will make anyone's day. That's what I think anyway.

Uncle Phoenix

Awww. Hoping the best for all, including the wonderful husband and wife. ❤️

Just Plain Bob

Ahh, “The Sum of All Fears”, where the filmmakers take a HUGE step down from Alec Baldwin and Harrison Ford (who previously played the lead role of Jack Ryan) and we have to settle for Ben Affleck in the role. Need I say it: the book is waaaaaaaay better. They really dumbed it down for the movie (presumably so Affleck would understand the screenplay) and the result is a movie that’s a shadow of its predecessors.

Cole Jennett

I must have watched a different movie. I thought it was far better than the Harrison Ford movies, much as I love Harrison Ford. To each their own, but I think it was excellent.

Wesley White

Congrats to Carly, send her my love and support as a fan and friend lol! Four polls on movies based on a true story, that's crazy, I hope a few of my suggestions make it on one of those polls lol! I hope you're doing well Cassie and I hope your son is getting better, I haven't sent my Mother's Day gift to you yet because I to have been going through some difficult problems at work and it's just been draining me, ugh lol! Tomorrow for sure I'm heading for the post office to find a box big enough lol! On a plus side of things, I've watched your "Batman Returns" reaction 4 times up to this point, just can't get enough of it lol 😂 Can't wait for "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes"! Love and support to you and Carly, you both are the best, and God bless y'all and the family 🥰😇🙏😁🤗😉👍✌️🌹

Gray

Road Warrior.. excellent news

Collar City Guy

I hope your son is doing much better, and I am sure you will find the perfect dress1

Just Plain Bob

The geo-political backdrop of the story and, therefore, the entire motivation for the antagonists, is drastically changed from the book - and not in a good way. The book really poses some interesting questions about events that were contemporary at the time and which still remain huge issues. All gone for the film. The motivations of the bad guys are simplified so much that the baddies might as well be tying damsels in distress to railroad tracks while twirling their mustaches and leering and laughing evilly. They had a chance to do something really interesting and settled for a pretty standard thriller.

Tim Weaver

I came to comment the same.

Just Plain Bob

Agree. Really looking forward to that reaction.

Rick Rodriguez

Congratulations to the family finishing school and to Carly, Congratulations on Love and long life together.

Michael West

Best wishes to the happy couple and your family. Hope all goes well.

Katie Jackson

The full reaction has been up since May 12th

Larry Darrell

Not a Harrison Ford fan, huh. 🤷‍♂️ JK. JK… ;-)

Tom Moore

I know the schedule is packed just wanted to toss in my vote for Andor. Rewatched the Rogue One reaction and I’m sure you would enjoy it.

Cole Jennett

Or Chris Pine😉. Love ‘em both

FranciscoGios

Congratulations to your sister Carly’s Wedding!! I hope she lives happy her whole life. And I hope your son is now better and healthy Cassie.

Jason Fulbright

Congrats to Carly and the whole PiB cob (fam damily) too but hey, I need my socks. Will there be any popcorn in the bouquets of flowers. I hope so!

Larry Darrell

Road Warrior (1981)… Sweeeet!!! Fam Damily?? I love doing that with words. Never thought of that one before. Stealing it. ;-)

Chris Thom

Sounds stressful, to be honest. Hope you remember to relax and have a good time, if you're able to. Looking forward to the True Events Poll. Not sure if you know but I think Pollception was your most commented on post ever on Patreon with 764 comments. Happy summer Cassie, Carly and Kernels!

Chris Thom

Yeah I went back through all her biggest posts like a nerd. Lol. The polls nearly always have the most comments.

Clay F

Did The Sum of All Fears win a poll, or was that a popcorn pick?

Cole Jennett

It didn’t win a poll, so maybe PPOTM? I was expecting Shakespeare in Love or The Judge next since she’d mentioned them most recently along with Collateral and she did that already.

Clay F

+1 for Andor

Clay F

The 4 polls for movies "based on true stories" is exciting. I am curious about A Monster Calls, which I've never seen. Your LoU S2E6 reaction is great. Glad for all the good family stuff -- you will juggle.

Dan M

Yikes!! I can’t believe it’s already here…Carly’s Big Day!! It sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate getting ready for the big bash. Any time someone mentions a wedding to me, the part time DJ in me comes out. So I thought I’d offer up some romantic songs that I get asked to play when I’m DJing a wedding or an anniversary party. I’m not suggesting them as Carly and her fiancé’s potential wedding song (I’m sure that’s been in place for awhile now), but just some heartwarming songs that can be suggested to her DJ to get the couples on the floor for some slow dances. Unforgettabe - Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole Endless Love - Lionel Richie and Diana Ross Can’t Help Falling in Love - Elvis Presley From This Moment - Shania Twain Just the Way You Are - Billy Joel Making Memories Of Us - Keith Urban Never My Love - The Association Perfect - Ed Sheeran And I Love Her - The Beatles Saving All My Love - Whitney Houston I’ll Never Not Love You - Michael Buble The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra Have I Told You Lately - Rod Stewart I Just Want To Dance With You - George Strait I hope the wedding goes smoothly, the food is delicious, and Carly is swept away by the celebration of her special day. And please…don’t stress out too much, have fun, and just let loose. Congrats to Carly and Mr. Carly! 🎉🥂

Anthony Carlson

Have a wonderful time at Carly’s wedding! Soak it all in and enjoy yourself! And happy early Memorial’s Day as well! Keep up the good work Captain! 🫡

Dan M

Love the gloves off ya! 🤪

Richard Maurer

Great news that you’re watching The Road Warrior, Cassie. The only thing that would make it even better would be if you were watching Horror of Dracula too!

Richard Maurer

Polls always bring out the opinions.

Richard Maurer

We used say that back in high school - “You and your whole Fam Damily!”

Clay F

+1 for Just the Way You Are - Billy Joel

Joel Wayne

Still looking for a dress? I assumed your were the matron of honor. Hope the entire family has the best time being all together for the special time and ultimately the big day. I'm not sure any wedding is perfect so hopefully everyone enjoys every moment come what may. Happy Memorial Day to everyone and especially those that serve or once served. Thoughts to all the families as well.

Uncle Phoenix

Fever Pitch (1997) is the greatest LOVE Story ever. "I Said What I Said” — Cassie

K, Zachary

Dirty Harry? Great franchise Fever are going to win! They won! The next time the Fever play the Sky we will be there. We both think you are too sweet and innocent for the Scream Franchise. We are going to see the Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning tomorrow night. Lilo and Stich on Saturday. See you on Tuesday have a fabulous wedding weekend.

🚩

I wonder who chose the true events movies in the polls, Cassie or her team

TheSingulatarian

Putting in my early request for either "Gettysburg" or "1776" for the 4th of July. They also work as true events. The original "Father of the Bride" (1950) with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor for Carly's one year anniversary as I slept on it this year. I know she already saw the Steve Martin remake.

Larry Darrell

Well Dad Gommit! It seems I’m the only one that doesn’t remember hearing it before. I looked it up, and everybody’s been using it. A River Runs Through It (1992) even used it. I guess I got knocked in the head one two many times, and now I’m musing my lined.

Stick Figure Studios

I second 1776. I love it. My annual independence Day tradition is watching that movie. I've been pushing for reaction for it for a long time.

Anthony Carlson

Also, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning is out now! Tom Cruise’s (seemingly) last mission as Ethan Hunt!

Redrum Sacrament

I don't get the big deal with 12 Monkeys. What monkeys

Mark Vaderr

Good luck with everything. You are the Cassie-est Cassie in the whole world, and we love you for it.

Chris Thom

People do seem to love audience participation. Reminds me of when network tv shows used to do things like that for a ratings boost. Like that who shot Mr. Burns thing on The Simpsons.

Clarence Newman

2 days left and you haven't found your dress? My wife would be a gibbering wreck. I'm sure you'll be fine, although I do strongly recommend you set up your Popcorn to Go equipment in a corner somewhere so you and Carly can keep running over and giving us updates. Maybe Ben can strap a GoPro to his head so we can get a YT edit. Have a great time anyway. You deserve a happy event to take your mind off all the mental Mom stuff.

My_Cousin_Mose

How have you not found a dress yet?!

🚩

"choreograph a cousin dance" hoedown!! Promenade across the floor! Sashay right on out the door! Out the door and into the glade, And everybody promenade! Grab a fence post! Hold it tight! Whomp your partner with all your might! Hit him in the chin! Hit him in the head! Hit him again! That critter ain't dead. Whomp him low and whomp him high! Stick your finger in his eye! Pretty little rhythm, pretty little sound Bang your heads against the ground! Promenade all around the room! Promenade like a bride and groom! Open up the door and step right in! Close the door and into a spin! Whirl, whirl, twist and twirl Jump all round like a flying squirrel! Now don't you cuss and don't you swear! Just come right out and form a square!

Clarence Newman

I'm hoping Carly's fiance is called Joe. Then she could have her exes come in and do a rousing rendition of "If it hadn't bin for Cotton Eyed Joe, I'd been married a long time ago!"

CLisa

Don’t suppose any chance of double jeopardy showing on YouTube, thought I would take a shot and ask

CLisa

It is noticed when you take a break, you are missed

Clay F

+1 for Gettysburg. I recently rewatched Born on the Fourth of July and liked it.

Clay F

Thanks Cole. I am still holding out hope that Lost in Translation may one day be a PPOTM.

Richard Maurer

There are a lot of dresses out there that she hasn’t seen yet. She needs to see them all before she can make a decision ;-)

Richard Maurer

Cassie - you should let your children pick out a dress for you. No way that could go wrong! ;-)

Clarence Newman

Who are those little non-subscribers to pick the dress? Cassie should find 8 dresses she likes, put them on a poll and then we can decide.

Clarence Newman

I find it hard to believe it won't be, Lisa. Keeping Matter of Life and Death as Patreon only was a very rare decision, and mainly due to low YT views for obscure classics. Double Jeopardy is far from that, so it's more likely copyright issues that are holding up the release.

Ted Whalen

Cassie- I wonder which song is more popular in the house this week- School is Out (no more pencils, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks), or Chapel of Love (todays the day we’ll say I do, and we will never be lonely anymore). I hope you have a great time with your family at the wedding!

Anthony Carlson

I say School’s out by Alice Cooper and True by Spandau Ballet.

Clarence Newman

We get pretty creative when we're drunk. I have a song in my collection that goes like this: Starkle, Starkle, little twink Don't know who is me I think Though all my jums are wordled in a jam I'm not as mad as thinkle peep I am.

Clarence Newman

To be fair, 412 of those are me and Richard going, "Yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't...."

Dan M

Good song, Anthony. And very fitting for this occasion, since every time I hear it now all I can think of is The Wedding Singer.

Richard Maurer

Let you pick a dress on a poll? Are you forgetting that Cassie has seen your movie picks here? You’d probably pick something bedazzled with Rhinestones.

Richard Maurer

My fault, I should’ve known better than to give you any ideas

Rene G.

My other fave "true event" movie: The Sacrament from Ti West. and Henry Portrait of a serial killer.

Richard Maurer

Henry is a great film, one that is unfortunately unlikely to ever be allowed on a poll.

Clarence Newman

Always up for some Michael Rooker. Very underrated actor.

Joe J

Is "The Sum of All Fears", a PPoTM? Might as well make it an Affleck double-header and throw in "The Accountant".

Clarence Newman

You really are fuddled at the moment, aren't you, Cassie, cos you've done it again. The upcoming Last of Us episode should be 7, not 6, and the one coming to YT this week is Season TWO episode 6, not Season 3. Oh, and Sum of All Fears should be spelt "Every Which Way But Loose". 😁

Joe J

I'm hoping Cassie will do a new Pollception every month.

Clay F

+1 for "School's Out" (1972) song by Alice Cooper. I also like "I'm Eighteen" (1970) song by Alice Cooper (lyrics excerpt below): I'm in the middle without any plans I'm a boy and I'm a man I'm eighteen, and I don't know what I want ... Eighteen, I gotta get away I gotta get out of this place ... I got a baby's brain and an old man's heart Took eighteen years to get this far Don't always know what I'm talkin' about Feels like I'm livin' in the middle of doubt ... I'm in the middle, the middle of life I'm a boy and I'm a man I'm eighteen and I like it ...

Richard Maurer

You (literally) knew what she meant.

Clarence Newman

Well, she hasn’t watched a film from my wishlist for a good 4 or 5 days now, so I’m feeling neglected. I pray this drought comes to an end soon.

Chris Thom

Did the Accountant sequel ever come out? Feel like I heard of it being greenlit a while ago.

Chris Thom

Scream was the first time I ever heard of that Alice Cooper song. But I think it was a cover version.

Joe J

Chris, it's in theaters now.

Richard Maurer

I’m still riding the Mad Max high, and knowing Road Warrior is on the way is helping too.

Happy Hanukkah

"I know come summer though I am going to be craving routine and a to-do list!" Here's your to-do list, Cassie: Buy or make french fries. Buy or make cheese curds. Prepare a thin gravy, with beef or chicken stock, flour, butter, and seasonings. Mix the hot fries and room-temperature cheese curds, and pour the hot gravy over them. Oh. ... "Routine." ... Never mind.

Happy Hanukkah

RM - Given my moniker and the mixing of meat and dairy in the recipe, I am almost obliged to agree with you. :-)

SeanATX

Fun true-story polls! Another idea for this summer: it’s the 50th anniversary of JAWS, so maybe you and Carly should honor that with a reaction to JAWS 2 - very underrated movie.
