GOT keeps you on your toes, but it's worth it!

Brian McGovern

Come on Cassie. You’ve flipped off before. Don’t hold back.🤭

JRCortez

I’m sensing a “mini-binge” coming. Probably after the holidays 😉…..

Philip Alan

“They’re DISGUSTING! How do they have enough juices??” Such a fantastic line, Cassie! 😂😂

MGCR

"Haven't you read the romance novels"?? Firstly, romance novels don't exist in this universe. Secondly, Shae doesn't give a damn WHY Tyrion did what he did; she only cares that he did it and broke her heart doing it.

Michael West

Episode 6 was epic. Tyrion’s speech at the end was amazing. Ramsey makes Joffrey seem like a kitten.

K, Zachary

Episode 6 was some of the best acting in the series by Peter Dinklage.

Mike Lemon

Off topic- Wow, what a way to wake up this morning- Rob Reiner and his wife stabbed to death by his son yesterday (allegedly).

Obie Brown

Deff earned his awards with that one.

Obie Brown

Oh yeah, the good stuff right here and the season isn't even over yet!

Ike

That slight smile on Tyrion’s face as he stared down his hateful father is everything I wanted. [ Oh, and we have to give a shout-out to the music/score/composer for this show ] I remember watching this episode with a former girlfriend when this one aired, and we realized later that we were standing - cheering - while Tyrion gave a full-throated defense against the ridiculous. Great moment in television. Like I said last time, does the show get even better? Yeah, probably.

Kevin Farrell

It's been so fun to see Cassie connect with all the characters. I hope she considers watching another series at some point. The way she gets invested lends itself well to longer form content. Great reaction as usual!

GillyBean

really hoping for House of the Dragon after

Clay F

Longer form content is great for her reactions.

Clay F

In GoT show, Tommen is 12-13 in these two episodes, with the actor being 16. What Shae did is unforgivable. You gave yet another great reaction to episodes of GoT.

Kawaii Leonard

I wish we switched back to the Thursday/Friday releases. The early Monday release is really bad for me. Won't have some extended free time till...Thursday.

Clay F

Catelyn initially to marry "Brandon" (the name you wondered about in E5 = Ned's older brother). She married Ned instead after Brandon killed by the Mad King. Cersei, while wildly outlandish with respect to Tyrion, did seem to make more sense (more tame, reasonable) than typical a couple of times in other aspects. Peter Dinklage gave a good performance.

aarswft

I don't think there's a timer on the video. You can watch it whenever.

Christian Becker

The show feels like nobody is safe.” That was the hook for a lot of people I know. After the Red Wedding, all bets were really off

ArsTropica

I'm not particularly good at violence, but I'm good at convincing others to do violence for me. :D

Johnny Bullis

Well Cassie.. you finally fully understand what it was like for us back when this show first aired.. that no one is safe.. and it was very unsettling for us too.. and you know what.. we all loved it anyway because it was new and refreshing for a show to unsettle us like that.

Kawaii Leonard

I know it's a minor inconvenience. 😊

Cody Nelson

"I want the reader to be in mortal fear and not know what the hell is going to happen when they turn the next page." --George RR Martin

DAVID COSTELLO

I wonder if there will be a Rob Reiner tribute on this channel

Clay F

"The thought that anyone is on the chopping block at any point in time gives me a constant uneasy feeling..." I sensed that in some intensity of your reaction these 2 episodes, but think you'll become acclimated best you can to that unease. Yay for Jon and his direwolf Snow (runt of the litter) being reunited. Seem to share profound, often silent, bond. To me, symbolizing their shared status as outcasts.

Mike Lemon

Doubtful. I don't think Cassie has ever done a tribute movie, Ashleigh is the one that does that.

Cole Jennett

The Robert Redford poll wasn’t all that long ago.

Clarence Newman

Sure she has, Mike. She did one for Val Kilmer (Willow) and would have watched Towering Inferno for Richard Chamberlain if you hadn't confused her with your Shogun shipment. As for a tribute to Rob, I'd pick This Is Spinal Tap or The Wolf of Wall Street because the film Cassie would probably like the best is a bit inappropriate at this time.

Obie Brown

I think the upcoming Dunk and Egg ( A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms) might also be more up her alley....but she gets to choose of course

Kevin Farrell

@GillyBean that would be great, although I wouldn't blame her for wanting a break from that world. It can get a little bleak!

Just Plain Bob

I’d be surprised if she did a tribute poll for Rob Reiner for the simple reason that I don’t think he’s on her radar. On the couple of occasions that she did it in the past it was someone whose work she appreciated. I’ve never even heard her say his name and wouldn’t be surprised if she isn’t real clear on who he is. That said, we do need a “This Is Spinal Tap” reaction sooner rather than later. PS: I’m aware that Cassie has seen several of Reiner’s films and enjoyed them. However, I’m a lot less sure that she realizes that he directed those films.

Mojo One Thousand

Yep, I was going to the same thing, that one had me rolling!

DAVID COSTELLO

She did do a Gene Hackman poll, right?

Clarence Newman

Rob Reiner is the friend who tells Tom Hanks he's got a cute butt in Sleepless in Seattle. Cassie will remember that. And yes, The French Connection came out of the Hackman poll.

Cole Jennett

There’s almost zero chance Cassie remembers that scene Clarence. It’s a travesty, but almost certainly true. Over the next week she will become very familiar with him, having directed some of her favourite movies. When Harry Met Sally alone will be enough.

Obie Brown

The trial scene might be in top 10 or even top 5 scenes of the entire show. Peter is spectacular in it.

PianoDean

I'm calling the odds makers now....it needs to go up on Kalshi ASAP: What are the chances Cassie drops an (authentic) "F" bomb before all this is over?

Mike Lemon

Forgot about Redford, everybody else seemed like quite a while after they died, but looking it up Kilmer was right after too and Hackman sounds right. Then there were all the people who died with no tribute, Graham Greene stands out in my head but there were a bunch of others this year, that make it feel like she never does tributes.

Just Plain Bob

Unless she looks up his various movies, I think it’s unlikely there will be a tribute poll. But it becomes a virtual certainty if she looks him up. She’s enjoyed too many of his movies to fail to give him a tribute if she realizes what he’s done.

James M

You look more upbeat now. That's good. Have fun with the show. Death and violence and most of all dishonesty is the name of the game.

Dustin Ward

I just want to know how many poodle tails she had to cut off to make that stringer hanging on the headboard

James M

One stylistic thing I found tedious is the meetings where the ruler or commander says "leave me" and as everyone is filing out then adds "not you..." The show uses this over and over and over until every time there's a meeting or council you expect it to happen.

Brent Petty

She would give great reactions to The Wire.

Aaron Ritchie

lol someone please let Cassie know that Tommen is 17, not 11.

JohnnyUtah

One of tyrians best speeches and one of the best monologs in all of thrones.

LukeG84

That last episode was tense. I have no idea how this is all going to all shake out, but I'm convinced Tyrion is going to survive somehow. I'm so disappointed in Shae. I'm hoping she said all of those things save herself, rather than because she was angry. I can't imagine she would have thrown Sansa under the bus just to get even with Tyrion. She had to have been forced somehow.

MacGuffinStuff

Sassy Cassie in leather pants is hilarious. These reactions are great because she gets so into it, making fun of Carl with the knives bit had me rolling. Also, Stannis is the Rightful King.... Of Awkward Silences, when he's at the Iron Bank and they tell him to sit on those benches obviously made to tell you , "don't get comfortable". But Stephen Dillane plays Stannis so well, it's a character meant to have almost no personality, that's hard to make interesting but Dillane does. Btw he was in "Spy Game", he was the prickish pencil pushing conference room villain in that, and he was actually in a favorite of mine that's hard to find, "Welcome to Sarajevo" with Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei, great little movie if you can find it, about some sad things that did actually happen during the war in the former Yugoslavia.

Clay F

In these two episodes of the show, Tommen is more like 13, with the actor being 16.

Clay F

Skipped David Lynch last year. Easy to list to her Rob Reiner movies she's seen: The Princess Bride, Stand by Me, The American President, Misery, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle Arguably, a distinguished career. Great life of service. R.I.P. to eminent Mr. Reiner.

DavidJPL

All bets were off much earlier at the beheading in Season 1. Many more people were watching HBO than had read the books of course, so everyone was blown-away at the time when a TV show actually killed-off their lead actor, especially someone as prominent as Sean Bean.

Kiss the Librarian

Someone texted me about a gathering I was late for at the exact second Cassie's phone went off. o_o

Roscoe Anderson

Most underrated reaction line….”does he still have that guy in a box?!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Gray

Glad to know there is an episode next week thought it might go on hiatus for crimbo

Clarence Newman

The last bit of Casse's outro made me smile. At the end of the episode 2 reaction, she looked into the camera and said "Ok.....I'm back in." On that occasion, she could probably have added "....but I don't have to like it." Her words and demeanor at the end of episode 4 are far more genuine and excited. I don't think it feels like an obligation to continue anymore. She's genuinely 'back in'.

Above Average Dave

Happy Birthday, Cassie!! (following Rick Williams' lead on this.)

Mark Vaderr

Happy Birthday, Cassie!! Best wishes to you and to Julie on your special day!

Matt Mabry

I think we share a birthday Cassie. Happy Birthday to you!! Thank you for all you give to this venue. BTW, Kit Harrrington (Jon Snow) is married to Ygritte (Rose) in real life. They fell in love on the set and have kids now. Cheers!!!

Scott Macaulay

My favorite George C. Scott movie: Legion. Pay no mind to the rest of the title. Just watch it going in blind so as not to spoil anything. Remember "Legion" and some other words in the title. Great feel good movie!

Kyle K

Cassie just looks so concerned for everybody

ArsTropica

Bottom line is that he chose his family over her - chose power over love. He could have left with her and tried to escape that toxic gang of freaks but he chose them over her. Not justifying her decision, but explaining it.

Kawaii Leonard

Aside from the Yara/Theon nonsense, episode 6 is my favourite episode of the whole show. What's also great is from here on out, season 4 stays peak! And most of Tyrion's confession is word for word from the book, which the early seasons did a lot: Tyrion's POV chapter, ASOS: "I saved you all, Tyrion thought. I saved this vile city and all your worthless lives. There were hundreds in the throne room, every one of them laughing but his father. Or so it seemed. Even the Red Viper chortled, and Mace Tyrell looked like to bust a gut, but Lord Tywin Lannister sat between them as if made of stone, his fingers steepled beneath his chin. Tyrion pushed forward. "MY LORDS!" he shouted. He had to shout, to have any hope of being heard. His father raised a hand. Bit by bit, the hall grew silent. "Get this lying whore out of my sight," said Tyrion, "and I will give you your confession." Tyrion stared up at his father's hard green eyes with their flecks of cold bright gold. "Guilty," he said, "so guilty. Is that what you wanted to hear?" Lord Tywin said nothing. Mace Tyrell nodded. Prince Oberyn looked mildly disappointed. "You admit you poisoned the king?" "Nothing of the sort," said Tyrion. "Of Joffrey's death I am innocent. I am guilty of a more monstrous crime." He took a step toward his father. "I was born. I lived. I am guilty of being a dwarf, I confess it. And no matter how many times my good father forgave me, I have persisted in my infamy." "This is folly, Tyrion," declared Lord Tywin. "Speak to the matter at hand. You are not on trial for being a dwarf." "That is where you err, my lord. I have been on trial for being a dwarf my entire life." "Have you nothing to say in your defense?" "Nothing but this: I did not do it. Yet now I wish I had." He turned to face the hall, that sea of pale faces. "I wish I had enough poison for you all. You make me sorry that I am not the monster you would have me be, yet there it is. I am innocent, but I will get no justice here. You leave me no choice but to appeal to the gods. I demand trial by battle." "Have you taken leave of your wits?" his father said. "No, I've found them. I demand trial by battle!"

Rick Williams

Happy Birthday, Cassie. May you have a great day.

ArsTropica

Morality is tied to mortality and more closely to quality of life. Now we look at 20+ as a suitable age for marriage, but our lifespans are much longer than they would be in Westeros. If 20+ is acceptable today, and the average human will survive until 80 (in Western countries), then the moral calculus for marriage is 25% of your lifespan. I'd wager that the average Westerosi lifespan was similar to European 15th century, somewhere in the late 50's to mid 60's. 25% of that is 14 - 16 which is around Tommen's age.

Clay F

Top Johnny Depp (I love each one of these 4 Depp movies): --"Donnie Brasco" (1997) (w/Al Pacino). Based on true story. No. 45 at PR. --"Chocolat" (2000) (Oscar nominee Best Picture). You’ve seen. --"Dead Man" (1995) [Jim Jarmusch]. Score composed/performed by Neil Young. --"Finding Neverland" (2004) (w/Kate Winslet). Nom 7 Oscars including Best Picture and Depp for Best Actor.

Dk

I must say, it truly is egregious malpractice to not have her watch at least the first season's history and lore. I know she enjoys the show, but would enjoy it a lot more if she wasn't confused half the time. She apparently doesn't read any comments and doesn't seem to have anyone in her life to bounce questions off of or to get suggestions from. This is the very last show that someone should watch with no context at all. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

KTVindicare

You've finally come to the reason why the story is so brutal. Because when no character is safe, ALL of the danger feels so real. There's never the feeling as the reader of "the main character will somehow get out of this" that exists in nearly every other story with stakes. George RR Martin uses this tool extensively throughout the entire series and the result is the kind of emotional investment reading that you just cant get in most stories.

John Rando

Oberyn has so many good scenes. Love how he didn’t stand for Tywin at the small council meeting. His scene in the throne room with Lord Varys. The surprisingly sweet convo with Cercei about their daughters. Even his comments at the trial 😂

Christian Becker

As I began my "Watch" ;-), it was already a running gag that Sean Bean is killed off in almost every role he plays. So I wasn't that surprised by him, but the Red Wedding was a tad more surprising, I might say. :-)

candle

During Joeffrey‘s wedding we see Cersei point Shae out to Tywin and he says to bring her to the tower of the hand. They most definitely got to her and threatened her then.

candle

People also seem to forget that Cersei and Tywin talked about Shae at Jeoffreys wedding and called for her to be brought to the tower of the hand. It is likely they threatened her, and why would she chose death over a man she can’t be with either way?

Vak

I love the fact that - unlike Jon, aka "Ser Cutie" - Cassie doesn't have a crush on Podrick, so much as she adores him and seems to just kind of want him for a little brother. "Oh, his cute little face! Pod for President!" She's picked up on the fact that there's a damned short list of characters on this show who are always good and do the right thing, and Pod's definitely one of them. He's just quietly, and often charmingly clumsily, awesome. Even Brienne is starting to pick up on it.

Jarron Khan

Is the release schedule - Whenever?

Clay F

Good news is her next watch of content is GoT before anything else. Don't know schedule. Patience, my friend. It's coming. GoT S4:E7-E8

Cole Jennett

She was always planning to take a week off around Christmas.

bknsty14

Literally tens of millions of people watched this show with no context

bknsty14

He played Thomas Jefferson in "John Adams" which I would love for Cassie to watch for July 4th. 250th

bknsty14

In the books he was 8

bknsty14

It's getting close

MacGuffinStuff

Oh yeah, he was great in that too, Paul Giammati and Laura Linney as well, Tom Wilkinson, that miniseries was so good. Hopefully.

Dk

What does that have to do with my point?

Funny is subjective

It is, I hate it, but it gives me something to look forward to.. Just like the old days, we gotta wait.. Makes the reward sweeter!

Popcorn In Bed

game of thrones will be up tonight-city slickers tomorrow or monday!

Tyler Lathrop

YES! THANK YOU AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

VOCFM

Good Goyim do I hate Shae the Whore. The only one more spiteful than Tywin is her. She has no excuse.
