Brian Sheely

I know what I’m doing tonight!

Brian McGovern

Good. TV? I guess Cassie doesnt mind the dark side this show is giving her.😄

Bill Maurer

Two great episodes in a series of great, great episodes

Daniel John

Season 4 may be the best. Can't wait to watch later.

Kyle K

Oh wow, was not expecting this today.

Raymond Terry

FYI, the season finale aired on Father's Day 2014...

Samuel Champ

I haven't got to the last episodes yet. Sorry I'm slowing down production.

Tyler Lathrop

Trying my hardest to wait until after work. (Not going well)

Wes

Loooose!!! Snow starting to become the man in episode 9. I love it

PapaXan

OH, yes please!

Michael G

Cassie, if you are ever interested, in voicing your love ,and love of the frustrations, and anger because of how well things are done in the show, might I suggest reaching out to one of the writers, a truly lovely fellow, Bryan Cogman. He is over on Bluesky, and a major film buff himself.

JFC

FYI PiB team: the video on YouTube is titled [YT Edit] Game of Thrones (S4 E9+E10), it should be [Full Reaction]. Just some housekeeping, thanks!

Obie Brown

Ending the amazing season with a bang!

Christian Becker

Uhh nice. And one of my fav episodes, too. And as always remember: Valar Morghulis.

Bill Maurer

I think we have achieved the moment where Jon Snow leaping from the "lifT" and into battle passes Aragorn's entrance into the Grand Hall in LoTR "Twin Towers" ... she had "THAT" look

Christian Becker

Watchers on the Wall - still my most rewatched GoT episode ever.

Night King01

Anyone else think changing the tysha reveal from the books was a really bad idea.

Night King01

I have to mention this. In the books when Tyrion confronts his father he reveals to him that his first wife Tysha was not a “whore” as he calls it but someone who truly loved tyrion. Tywin lied and then had his guards have their way with her. Thats why he shoots tywin when he calls her a whore. He wasnt referring to Shae in the books. They expanded shaes character in the show.

Night King01

Well the bells mean someone important has died. So yes, Tywin is dead.

KyloJames

You have officially finished the greatest season of GoT!! Congrats for pushing through, Cassie 🙌🙌 I caution you being optimistic about the remaining episodes—there are a few 10/10 gems in S5 & S6, but definitely S1-S4 are the best of this show. Maybe having the chance to binge them straight through (to the series finale) will be easier to digest, but you’re in for a snooze fest for a majority of what’s left. Really, really enjoyed your reactions! Thanks for giving the series a chance 🫶🙌

Kawaii Leonard

They are just whitewashing Tyrion for the show. I've long disconnected the 2 mediums.

Night King01

I heard he goes down a much darker and nihilistic path in the books.

VOCFM

Episode 9 is arguably the best episode this show ever had. "I dont get how that is, because this is so good (can it become bad?)" I know, it's a wonder of film making that it happened.

Daniel John

I wouldn't call it a snooze fest...there is tons of epicness left. I agree it's not up to par from the first 4 season...but I do think they land it pretty well up to the end of season 6. I'm rewatching for the first time with her....binged it all before the last season so maybe new perspective will sour these next two seasons. But I think season 5 and 6 are worthy if not quite the same. 7 and 8 is where it goes sideways for me. Sounds like that's when the adapting of the books stopped and the conjuring of the rest of the story started. Shame. But maybe Cassie will dig those seasons 🤷🏻 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

KyloJames

That’s a fair point! I haven’t rewatched the show since it aired, so I’ve been binging along with her, like you, but I do remember being super frustrated with the pacing of S5, but the end of S6 really hyped me up. Then it all crumbled down in the last two seasons haha! But I agree, I think she’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of it, but it does feel drastically different towards the end. I’m so excited to see her reaction for the final episode LOL

Shad Kanyak

While Cassie's voice is raspy, should there be a Lauren Bacall/Kathleen Turner movie poll? She'll fit right in.

JohnnyUtah

Yes, that was the first time they only stayed in one location on an episode and it is one of my favorites in the series.

My_Cousin_Mose

The first time was actually Blackwater in season 2. Both fantastic episodes but I think Watchers on the Wall is even better.

Steve Mercier

"Did you love her? She loved you." "She told you?" "No. All she ever talked about was killing you. That's how I know."

Michael West

Great reaction. This show definitely puts your emotions in a blender. Episode 9 was an epic battle. I had a full on adrenaline rush the whole episode. Sam and Gilly have given you a new love story to root for. One popular fan theory is that Maester Amon’s lost love was Lady Olena. There are other theories, but I found that one interesting.

Zigmund Froyd

(No Spoilers BTW) Cass, don't listen to the people who dislike the ending. I honestly don't think many people dislike the final Season as a whole, more that they don't like just the final part of the final episode how it closes out some things (not even all of them). I am one of those who just doesn't like the final ending closeout for a few things, but other things I very much do like the decisions they made, but that's just my opinion and the inner fan cheering for something specific, just like some people may not prefer when characters team up or die or travel somewhere or whatever the storytelling may be. Don't let it deter you, it's just some people's minor opinions, and no matter what, it is 100% worth it and I believe it will be immensely satisfying for you to finish it. Love that you're watching this, there's so much great story and character development in front of you, don't stop! The North Remembers! :)

Canadianant

This was just flat out fantastic. Firing on all cylinders

Obie Brown

Best overall season for me personally, story, characters, action...so so good.

Obie Brown

I hope Cassie reads the books someday, when Tywin bites it, the book states: "Tywin Lannister in the end did not sh*t gold." George R R Martin rules.

Obie Brown

Kill the boy and let the man be born!

Obie Brown

Oh wow...thats a neat theory, also if you look at pictures of young Dianna Rig, she was a stunner, James Bond married her afterall.

JohnnyUtah

Yep thought that as I said it but then I thought they at least cut to another story. I don't think they did.

JohnnyUtah

Don't let others form your opion of this show, movie, or honestly anything for that matter. The problem with being this good is everybody has way too high of expectations.

Obie Brown

Mods will probably come for us since we arent being vague enough here, but I personally feel season 4 was the most consistent from beginning to end. It does help that she is binging this, and doesn't have to wait a year while having to deal with everyones endless opinions on the internet.

Clay F

I think seasons 5, 6, 7, and 8 are great. Awesome writing. The opposite of a snooze fest.

KyloJames

I don’t want to get specific, but the end of all the remaining seasons ramp up the tension—S7 & S8 are so short so the tension is compact and direct. But I do remember the feeling of being bored by a majority of the storylines that repeat the same conflicts (Arya, Sansa, Theon), which stalled the pacing for me, but I am hoping having the benefit of not waiting season-to-season will help liven up the energy.

Obie Brown

My opinions of the final 3 seasons writing quality aside, I can honestly say I was never, ever bored with this show.

Clay F

Seasons 5, 6, 7, and 8 are great. Form your own opinion.

KyloJames

For me, it’s like going from LOTR quality=GoT S1-4, to The Hobbit Trilogy quality=GoT S5-8. That’s honestly the best way I can say it. Entertaining, but nonsensical.

VOCFM

the whole thing is strange imo because the book is so much more evil, youd think the show would ahve went with it

Clay F

Great reaction. Agree this is dang good TV. You nailed that was Stannis who showed north of The Wall -- based on your perceptive deduction of what the Red Lady (Red Woman, Melisandre) had said. Then, later you didn't like the way Melisandre eyeballed Jon -- I knew you wouldn't like that. "Stay away from him woman."

Christian Becker

Sorry to hog the chat today, but after watching your reaction, I can tell you one thing: you are right to make up your own mind. I had a similar problem. I heard everywhere how terrible it was, and I postponed watching the last season for quite a while. But one thing is for sure: I really want to find out how you feel about the last season. That will be interesting ;-) But I also agree that we are now at the top of GoT.

Jenny_M

I know Cassie doesn't read these comments, but I wanted to flag for anyone connected to her who does that there are a few episodes in the upcoming seasons that might be good to watch in the home theater where she does big movies sometimes - I'm thinking of one in season 8 specifically. I noticed she was having a hard time with some of the darkness in this episode, and it's a lot better than the one I'm thinking of. If there are others people can think of, feel free to throw them on here as a thread!

Cole Jennett

That’s a good idea. Will pass it on. I think it’s probably the only episode it might be necessary.

Night King01

Especially since they have arguably done more evil things in the show like what they did to robs wife.

Sean Carroll

Jon snow wishes he was Aragorn

Steve Smith

Hang in there Cassie. You're in for quite a ride. The best is yet to come.

Sean Carroll

Season 2 Davos: “I’ve never known the bells to mean surrender” Season 8: Oh boy

Night King01

Lol. Dont talk about that. They kind of forgot.

Sean Carroll

Season 5 to 8 is absolute garbage and I for one will not hold back on my criticism

aarswft

No one save for maybe 3 people know Sansa was at the Eyrie. As far as everyone else knew, she was Littlefinger's niece. And no, Arya is going to Bravos, the same-ish part of the world that Khaleesi is at. Don't focus on opinions of the last season. It goes down better when you binge. The buildup was largely what people soured on with the last season. They just didn't like that it ended. The rest is tolerable.

Sean Carroll

Your logic doesn’t make sense. You tell her not to listen to the people who criticise the show because their opinions are small and don’t matter? Meanwhile you with your positive opinion should be listened to right? I can already tell you are going to hate what I have to say about season 5-8 because I will not be holding back on the criticism

Sean Carroll

It’s simply garbage from here onwards. She can have her opinion but I for one will be fully stating my criticisms for the rest of the show

Kawaii Leonard

The line is from Tyrion. It's what he's thinking, but doesn't say it out loud.

Tyler Maxwell

I fully support you watching the rest of the show and having your own opinion on it's quality. Not everyone thinks the last season ruined the show (I am in that camp, and I love the entire show last season included). You don't need to let others' opinions influence how much you're enjoying the show as you watch each episode. Go in open and let the experience be your own.

D. T. Nelson

I'm pretty sure that Tyrion was going to confront his father. Finding Shae in his father's bed was a surprise. I think Shae honestly cared for Tyrion, but felt betrayed by him. — On the other side of things, a pretty fitting end for Tywin.

Scott O

2 Awesome episodes. Great battle on the Wall in 9. Ep 10 has Stanis with his pincer move; Brienne and Hound fight and the Tyrion shoot of his not so loving father. Doesn't get much better than that 😉

David Cansler

Do NOT pay attention to the season 8 haters. Is it as good as the other seasons? Maybe not but it is still a good season.

2-Can

Body Heat.

Shad Kanyak

I think the only parts of that movie that can be shown on YT are maybe the opening and end credits.

2-Can

They also never touched on, from the books, Tywin’s long suspicion that the Mad King was actually Tyrion’s father. So Tywin was always harboring the thought that the Mad King raped or seduced his wife (who he truly loved) and that the child from that union caused her death in childbirth. That was behind his pronouncements to Tyrion that ‘you are no son of mine’ when he scolded or chastised him and not just abject disappointment in him.

2-Can

That final shot of Arya on at the bow of the ship is one of the more intriguing season close-outs in television history. Realize we had about a year to contemplate what they were going to do.

Kawaii Leonard

Episodes 6 thru 10 are my favourite stretch of this whole show. I rarely continue on after season 4 with these reactions (for obvious reasons) but I'll follow your journey to the end. 😁

KTVindicare

You see how anxious and emotional you are during the build up to the battle? That's because this show has demonstrated numerous times that all characters can die. It's the closest to watching a real war film that you can get to that feeling of anxiety. That's the reason so many characters had to die in this story, so that that feeling of dread can feel authentic in the story. So that all of the action feels that tense.

MertzRocks

Up there, above the comments... THAT'S where the heart is! ❤️ (...that I left among the others)

Sean Carroll

A lot of people in this world are sheep and follow the herd so they are concerned that she will agree with the criticisms and not enjoy the show blindly like they want her to. I’d personally much rather watch reactors who are real and don’t fake it for views (not saying she does) but I know most would like that to be the case with her

Sean Carroll

Yeah it’s all downhill from here sadly

Sean Carroll

It’s really not though, you are just blindly enjoying a show without thinking about the staggering amount of issues

Sean Carroll

There are genuine problems with the last season, it has nothing to do with the buildup not meeting expectations.

MertzRocks

Quite fitting for the true POS that Tywin was. That's about as nicely as I care to put it.

Conchfritters

OMG - we’re here!! *goose bumps* Need to get to the store for some wine now!

JRCortez

My November and December predictions for a mini-binge are closer and closer to becoming true......

JRCortez

IYHO (In YOUR humble opinion).....

JRCortez

You might as well stop watching her GoT reactions then 🙄.....

KTVindicare

Ygritte dies differently in the books. Jon just finds her body amongst the other attackers after the battle. They never share a dying moment together and Jon is wracked with guilt because he has no idea who killed her it could even have been one of the arrows he shot. I dont know which version of this I like better, perhaps just the book one for the simple fact that it doesnt make as much sense to show Jon lowering his guard to grieve over her body in the middle of a roaring battle. The show obviously changed this scene because they wanted the extra drama.

Johnny Bullis

Hey Cass.. another roller coaster ride. I feel ya with getting sick and then feeling better and then getting hit with another round.. that happens to me all the time. Ill be praying for you to feel better soon.

JRCortez

With your constant criticism, one could say you're tossing out forbidden spoilers 🤔.....

David Cansler

Not blindly enjoying, just enjoying that season. Like I said was it as good as the other seasons, probably not but still a good season. Haters are just gonna hate.

MertzRocks

Braavos is even farther from Meereen than Castle Black is from King's Landing. Same continent, Essos, but not really same-ish part of the world. No spoilers I promise: About the last season, yeah people were more disappointed that the show ended than HOW it ended; but they felt they had to vent. I thought it worked out fine, though certainly not how I expected (of course!).

Kyle K

Sir Allistor might be terrible, but he did lead his men here,

Obie Brown

They do share dialog in the book, I am looking at the page right now, he however does not know who caused her fatal injury. Her final line is identical in the book and show: "You know nothing, Jon Snow".

chris berestoff

I agree. A bad season of GOT is still good tv.

Uncle Phoenix

I don’t know if it is the same in the books; but it intrigues me that the show-runners made Tyrian Brunette but Jaime and Cersie are both blonde. And we are told that Tywin used to work for the Targaryens who were All Blonde. Wouldn’t it be crazy IF that was Intended; and even more sad for Tywin.

Daniel John

I'm enjoying going back. I never had any desire to watch it during its run...finally broke down before the final season and binged it all in like 2-3 weeks. So I rushed through it. Going back now, with a better knowledge of the world and the players in it and taking time with each episode...I missed a lot through my first pass. All the Jon Snow wall stuff I was an interested in when I binged it the first time...now it might be some of the best stuff to me. Different perspective now.

SeanATX

Don’t worry about the criticism of season 8, whether it’s valid or not. Just enjoy the ride and remember that each episode is still its own thing and can be entertaining and compelling on its own merit.

Johnny Bullis

I agree fully.. yes there were many stupid decisions the showrunners made.. but there were a lot of great moments as well..

KTVindicare

Yea that interaction does happen, after the battle is already over. I forgot that she actually does talk to him, but it's only for a very brief moment.

KTVindicare

He's that one co worker you really dont like but when the shit hits the fan you know he's one of the more capable ones.

Walter

Cassie will have her own experience of the last season. Hopefully she can put aside what she's heard and judge it for herself.

Clay F

Sean, you are in the minority in your opinion. Bitter. Blinded by your bias. Imposing your irrational anti-S8 hate.

Clay F

S8 was fine. Opinions on GoT S8 were highly divided, with polls showing roughly equal numbers of satisfied and dissatisfied viewers; a YouGov survey found 52% satisfied/very satisfied versus 41% dissatisfied. The vast majority of viewers were fine with GoT S7.

Dk

"He's coming to say goodbye to her" Lol that's the first time I've ever heard that interpretation.

Clay F

The majority of viewers were fine with GoT S7. Some people are sheep and blindly follow the smaller anti-S8 herd. I’d personally much rather watch reactors who are real and don’t fake S8 hate but I know S8 haters would be disappointed. That a reactor watches S8 and puzzling asks what was the basis for all the hate? Answer = irrational bitterness and craving to belong to the 'anti' crowd.

Vak

Re: Shae. It's not that she didn't love Tyrion. She likely did, in her own, guarded and limited way. But she was always an opportunist first, because it's how she had always managed to survive. And she went with the more reliable bet, which also explains her testimony against Tyrion. And of course, a major part of Tywin going after Shae in the first place was to show dominance over Tyrion. She's a tragic character, just trying to survive but being crushed between huge gears that are far bigger than her. But as for Sansa - I think Shae had actual sympathy for her. She resented being "assigned" to her, yeah. But she had her back on several occasions. Maybe that speaks to her character and/or previous experiences. As far as actual feelings go, it's likely that she cared more for Sansa than she did for Tyrion.

DavidJPL

Cassie - Yes, set the negative thoughts aside and wait to decide the Season 8 ending for yourself! I actually liked the Series Finale (mostly), and I think you will too. There is a GREAT journey coming; Season 5 and my personal favorite the second-half of 6 and into Season 7. Keep in mind that originally these 8 Seasons ran almost 10 years, and because of the long breaks, people forgot what they knew - Binge watching now has the advantage of very current memories, so that you truly know who the characters are inside, and what they will become (or not). Cassie - You are correct : This is the greatest television show of all time. So please do not let any preconceived assumptions or other opinions distract from your own enjoyment and reactions. I promise you; the best is yet to come!

DavidJPL

Respectfully, I STRONGLY disagree. Season 7 is my favorite, and - if I may presume to guess - I think Cassie will enjoy it a lot too.

DavidJPL

Sean, again, I disagree. No one is blindly following. If people actually remember what they have learned over all prior 7 Seasons, the "issues" people think are flaws actually make sense. "Every time .... the gods flip a coin."

Brian Sheely

Cassie Game of Thrones is, by far, the best television series I've ever seen. With regard to season 8, there will always be people with the mentality of a 12 year-old who throw a tantrum if everything doesn't go exactly the way they want it to. I would have written it the same way.

DavidJPL

The only problem I know of in the last Season is that it was too compressed and rushed. But the actual plot and actions of the characters make perfect sense if you remember all the history and foreshadowing.

DavidJPL

Sean - geez, Debbie Downer. lol That is certainly an extremely minority opinion.

Kawaii Leonard

Real big guy with the insults. It's a differing opinion from yours. *_*

DavidJPL

I think Season 7 is the best, but I also like happy 'payoffs'. :)

DavidJPL

Definitely NOT garbage. LOL Season 7 is the best, especially for Cassie!!!

DavidJPL

Geez, and so I guess I will have to keep correcting this ridiculously flawed opinion. lol

Clay A

There was nothing redeemable about Shae... no compelling backstory, no feelings, she was a pure whore... Tyrion learned a valuable lesson there, I think (I hope)...

DavidJPL

For cripes sake, apparently now I will have 'homework', needing to point out every single awesome thing in every episode of Seasons 5, 6, 7, and 8! ;-)

DavidJPL

I love Sam & Gilly and of course Cassie will too!

Tyler Lathrop

Cassie please stop getting sick!

DavidJPL

Ep. 9 is great as far as battle scenes go. As someone who has seen most every movie battle ever, they can get obvious, repetitive, and boring to me. From Braveheart to The Lord of The Rings, the same 1,000 men crashing into each other just gets tedious. Even the Show Runners David & D.B. said in the after-episode remarks on HBO that they had to put effort into breaking up the Ep. 9 battle with more personal interactions so that it didn't get monotonous. After seeing so much so many times, nowadays I much prefer complex plots, dialogs, and more personal battles. I'd take a Brianne versus Hound fight over a mindless massive battle any day!

DavidJPL

Wow, after so much tragedy and heartbreak for so long, I don't understand how anyone can hate the wonderful Season 7 and also 6 leading into it !?! Don't you people want some happiness in your lives?!? ;-) lol

Staryu

Love rewatching this show along with you, I haven't seen any of these episodes from now onward since they first aired, excited to relive them, even the final season in a way.. I know it's massively hated, but I don't hold much hate in my heart for it, more like disappointment because of how RUSHED everything was and how a couple characters stories ended.

DavidJPL

I didn't read any insults to people's differing opinions here. Perhaps only to people who throw tantrums? Who - while might be elsewhere on the Internet at large - Probably are not in this Patreon group. :)

Stephen Knox

I loved even Season 8 for the first 3 episodes. It was too rushed from episode 4 onward, but it doesn't change how amazing the whole show was.

Astraeos

Man, these last three seasons are really gonna show the need for someone to exist in Cassie's life that has seen the whole show, and that can explain things to her that she's already seen that aren't clicking, without spoiling things. We'll get through it, but there's just so much to digest.

Oliver Higgs

Whoever this Sean Carroll is spamming and trolling the comments and promising to do more of it in the future, I hope the mods address it. Toxic behavior

Clay F

Cassie: “This is so good. This is the best TV I’ve seen. Ever.”

Cody Nelson

One change that I kinda wish the show didn't make was the omission of the Tysha reveal. In the book right after Jamie frees Tyrion he confesses that Tysha was *not* a whore and that she really did love Tyrion. Turns out Tywin and Jamie staged the whole event later on in order to make Tyrion think she was a whore by having her gang raped. It's really dark but it perfectly explains why Tyrion becomes furious enough to risk his life by going up the tower of the hand to confront Tywin and then kill him on the privy when he asks him where Tysha is. "Wherever whores go".

MacGuffinStuff

That epic one shot in Watchers On The Wall. And Ser Alliser is an enigma, he was a great combat leader in the fight, but he's such a Cpt Sobel most of the time. Ser Janus is a POS, we know he's at the Wall because Tyrion had him sent there for murdering actual babies for Joffrey, so I'm almost afraid but insanely curious how Ser Alliser ended up there, I have theories. Man, I need to jusf read the books lol. But "giants riding mammoths!" will forever be one of my favorite moments from any TV show ever. I remember trying to explain this show, and I was late to it, I didn't start watching it until the 5th season, but I was so into it and explaining to someone who didn't know it at all, about how there's like knights and barbarians and dragons and magic and green people and zombies.... But it's actually a very good show lol, I swear you'll like it!

DavidJPL

Any talk of declining quality in Seasons 5, 6, and 7 is nonsense. A quick Google search of "Game of Thrones episodes ranked" shows results from IMDB and several other popular review sites listing half of the Top 10 episodes of all time from these upcoming seasons. Of course we know the half of the Top 10 that we've already seen; "Baelor", "Blackwater", "Castamere", "Mountain and Viper", etc. But the other half of the Top 10 are still to come, particularly in Season 6. I also think that Season 8 is good too, including yet another Top 10 episode. But because not all things went the way people 'wanted', the reviews were bombed. So with a more frequent and enlightened binge-watch here, I think Cassie will understand the characters better upcoming AND in Season 8 too, and actually like these future episodes better than a lot of this prior heartbreak!

MertzRocks

"No such thing as giants..." Slynt, as he's looking right at a giant. Exaggerated eye-roll.

PianoDean

Is Cassie not making the connection pertaining to the coin, Braavos, and Jaquen H'gar? Also, this reaction was chock full of great one liner "Cassie-isms" All of them were hilarious.

MertzRocks

Sean Carroll ST🤬U!

Matt Mabry

Laughing under my breath, THE NORTH REMEMBERS!!!! Thank you Cassie!!!

Tyler Blackburn

Im telling you right now, when "the last season that everyone hates" was originally airing. People were glued to their screens. Negative "reviews" will always outshine positive ones, cause the negative side is always the loudest. I personally think the ending was good even though its not what I wanted. It really is a great series.

Daniel

I think the show is great even in season 5 and 6. Yes season 1-4 is more than amazing and maybe some of the best seasons ever made for TV. But season 5 and 6 is really good even if the flaws are more common. Season 7 and 8 is not worth mentioning.

Magnus Ljostveit

I think Ser Alliser was fighting for the Targaryens during the rebellion, and was sent to the wall after that. And that's why he hates Jon so much, because he's Ned Starks son.

Daniel

Season 7 is awful. I can't wrap my head around it why people praise season 7 so high.

TheMoonKingdom

There are people that like the last season, even though they are in the minority. Please enjoy the show, & decide for yourself:)

Clay F

You are in the minority but I respect your opinion. GoT S7 IMDb 9.0, RT 93% ("After a year-long wait, Game of Thrones roars back with powerful storytelling ...") The praise for S7 is because of the great storytelling, acting, and dialogue. Do you agree that S7 is stellar TV but you don't like the story? That S7 is great acting and settings but didn't turn out like you wanted? You disagree with the writers who didn't do it like you wanted?

Clay F

People who like the last season are in the majority. A YouGov survey of viewers of S8 found 52% satisfied/very satisfied versus 41% dissatisfied.

Clay F

S7 is awesome and definitely worth mentioning. The vast majority of viewers were fine with GoT S7 [IMDb 9.0, RT 93% ("After a year-long wait, Game of Thrones roars back with powerful storytelling ...")]. The praise for S7 is because of the great storytelling, acting, and dialogue.

Cole Jennett

Not much to be done about it. We at least have Cassie trained to avoid the comments, which really is too bad because she’d love to be discussing the show more with the community.

Cole Jennett

Yeah I really enjoyed Season 7 a lot!

Clarence Newman

Agreed. I watched the whole series last year and enjoyed season 8 as much as all the others. Things may not go the way you personally want them to, but what season of GoT ever did that?

Mike Lemon

Satisfied =/= like, those are two different things.

Clarence Newman

....and the remaining 7% doing Captain Jack Sparrow impressions over the final end credits: "I'm not sure I deserved that." Whether they mean they're not worthy or feel tailpiped with a cactus is the difference of opinion that makes the world go round.

Fangtorn

"Things may not go the way you personally want them to, but what season of GoT ever did that?" None, so then that's probably not what peoples' problem with S8 was about then, right? Things didn't go the way I wanted with Ned, or Robb, or Oberyn, etc, but I wasn't left staring at the screen in utter bafflement. The other seasons were just better written. There wasn't so much shockingly stupid stuff like in S8. Like hiding from a guy who can raise the dead in a crypt.

Joe

Hot take, I guess, but I like season 8.

Clarence Newman

Oh, I agree there are some moments like that, Fangtorn (others are coming to mind now), but I'm talking about general enjoyment and the reasons for Cassie to see it through. One thing we might agree on is that the last season has improved significantly since they fixed the crappy lighting (fight scenes in virtual pitch black). You know the episode(s) I'm talking about. When I watched GoT again last year, I was shocked at how much I could see! They couldn't fix everything, of course, but there's still a lot to enjoy.

Clarence Newman

Jenny. I rewatched GoT in full last year and noticed they had fixed (turned the brightness up on) that episode you're talking about. It was much easier to watch so hopefully Cassie sees that version.

Tyler Lathrop

dont worry about the ending cass. Enjoy the ride!

Patrick Flanagan

Once the series outruns the books it begins to slowly collapse. Season 6 onwards, I think the show gets worse and worse. 3-4 is the peak I think.

Patrick Flanagan

No, it's not simply garbage. It's diminishing returns after season 5, but there's still interesting scenes and developments even in the final season.

Kim André Bøe

I think a lot of people forgot what show they were watching and expected some sort of satisfying happy ever after conclusion. Which is insane. Also, a lot of people were pissed because of the cinematography for scenes in the north, which especially on the early broadcast *were* impossible to decipher through the darkness :p

Tyler Blackburn

Yeah but do you remember what the episode was called "The long night" or something like that XD Pretty sure they wanted it like that. They only thing I could see people getting upset at is, some story lines not getting wrapped up. But in my mind, thats just how their stories go.

TheMoonKingdom

Wow, I didn't realize. I guess people who dislike the last season are just the loudest:)

James M

People who dislike things are *always the loudest. I recall many years ago a flight where one woman loudly complained throughout the flight. When we landed the flight crew presented her with a bottle of champagne to try to improve her experience. We tend to reward the loud complainers more than the quiet satisfied folks.

James M

I am not so confident that this is the best television. Certainly it was a spectacle and it captured the intensity of the books pretty well. It was really good. But for me more moving television needs to be more grounded. I thought the seasons of "The Wire" were better for that. Surely they too had over the top scenes and an element of fantasy, but overall it was grounded in real problems. For me that hits harder. "Breaking Bad" went through an arc where some of it seemed like an ordinary guy and then some started to seem like a sort of superman. But there were moments of real communication that surpass the drama in GoT because of the feeling of realness. The battle with the wildlings is a great example of being not-very-good IMO. I do think it's good but it's not good like watching a battle in "Lawrence of Arabia" (although admittedly that's not TV). For me to be really very good, I don't think you can lean so heavily on fantasy.

James M

Rolling Stone has a top 100 list that's interesting to look over, not because you agree with it but because they will remind you of a lot of television. They undertake the tough job of comparing across types and include TV like "Jeopardy" and "Saturday Night Live". GoT comes in at 31 on the list. The two I named are above GoT in their list as well as mine. They reminded me of "Roots" which was intensely dramatic and important television. They list "MASH" which was a social phenomenon that ultimately surpassed its movie origin. "Star Trek" is clearly more influential than GoT, and I believe as time passes it will remain so. "The Twilight Zone" was also full of fantastic ideas yet it had much more to say about the world than GoT does. Fantasy and SciFi don't have to be escapism. After reviewing the Rolling Stone list I'm more confident that this is not the best TV I've seen. https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-lists/best-tv-shows-of-all-time-1234598313

Gray

Your right Jenny a theater watch it a great idea, it's my one nitpick of the channel when she can't see because it's too dark. Probably not helped by all the lights near the screen facing her for.

Gray

Fantastic couple of eps, i'd best order season 5 now.

Night King01

I agree with you somewhat because I think it can be done with a genre like fantasy. I mean look at lord of the rings. But yeah. Shows like the wire or my favorite sopranos are better. For one they were more consistent in quality and the acting was top tier. There is not a single bad performance from the main cast of sopranos. Also the cultural footprint of GOT died with that last season.

ChiefKC

These are good seasons right now because they were still working off of the source material. Season 7 & 8 they didn't have that.

Ricky

Get yourself checked for sinus infection if you haven't , Cassie.

Miguel

Bit of a spoiler in that comment.

Miguel

Up above, not the latest one.

Clay F

The Sopranos (IMDb 9.2), The Wire (IMDb 9.3) and GoT (IMDb 9.2) are iconic TV. The Sopranos is my favorite.

Clay F

The 52% are not the most vocal = the silent majority. Much of the 41% minority are bitter and vocal -- that the story didn't turn out their way. But I also respect their opinion. The bottom line is that the majority of us watching S8 didn't find it bad and are baffled/puzzled at the sheer hate by the minority.

Clay F

Yeah, but the show writers did great with S7 and S8, as well as adapting S1-S6.

DavidJPL

No disrespect to George RR Martin's creative genius, but if I wanted to read books I'd read books. ;-) I prefer Video and Audio for my entertainment, so that I can be bombarded with dramatic picture and sound elements. Hence the awesomeness of Seasons 7 and 8.

Nolofinwe

I hope you’re still not wolfing down in antibiotics . Ask your doctor order Ivermectin Depending on the state you might not need a prescription And then stay away from doctors whenever possible

2-Can

GRR Martin agrees with you, Chief. As does the cast. As do all the people demanding that those seasons be re-done (a first in television history as far as I can tell) - so much so that they’ve forced HBO to respond. I wasn’t going to weigh in on this, but the defenders are going over the top. Let’s just see if Cassie picks up on it without belaboring the point.

Kiss the Librarian

She describes the symptoms of an upper respiratory infection (like a cold) which is most often from a respiratory virus. Treatment is rest, fluids, tylenol if fever, unless symptoms are severe. Antibiotics are for bacterial infections, not viruses. Ivermectin is for parasitic infections, not a common cold or flu. Taking unnecessary antibiotics creates resistance in bacteria repeatedly exposed to it, so that they become harder to kill when an actual bacterial infection develops. Taking repetitive unnecessary doses of ivermectin causes GI upset (nausea/vomiting, diarrhea) at best, and neurotoxicity at worst - depending on the dose and frequency. Neurotoxicity means toxic to the brain, so it can cause confusion, seizures, even coma and death. I practice Family Medicine, and kindly ask you not to spread harmful nonsense online. Stuff like this puts people in the ER.

Kiss the Librarian

What is a "pure whore"? Someone who honors a payment with service requested? Shae tried to help Sansa, which I find somewhat redeeming. I like that none of the characters in the show are all good or all bad.

Kiss the Librarian

It's kind of hilarious that this argument keeps replaying in the comments on every episode post, even though Cassie doesn't read them. I'm sure her reaction to however much of the show she chooses to watch will be genuine. Pretty sure she's hooked enough to finish. Chill, let her live, enjoy the show

Mike Lemon

>most often from a respiratory virus. >harmful nonsense "The small molecule macrocyclic lactone ivermectin, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for parasitic infections, has received renewed attention in the last eight years due to its apparent exciting potential as an antiviral. It was identified in a high-throughput chemical screen as inhibiting recognition of the nuclear localizing Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1 (HIV-1) integrase protein by the host heterodimeric importin (IMP) α/β1 complex, and has since been shown to bind directly to IMPα to induce conformational changes that prevent its normal function in mediating nuclear import of key viral and host proteins. Excitingly, cell culture experiments show robust antiviral action towards HIV-1, dengue virus (DENV), Zika virus, West Nile virus, Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus, Chikungunya virus, Pseudorabies virus, adenovirus, and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). Phase III human clinical trials have been completed for DENV, with >50 trials currently in progress worldwide for SARS-CoV-2. This mini-review discusses the case for ivermectin as a host-directed broad-spectrum antiviral agent for a range of viruses, including SARS-CoV-2." - PubMed ( https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7564151/ ) -note- that was the first link, I'm not going down the "read all the studies" rabbit hole like I did with salt and blood pressure. I don't care enough. I'm just saying it's not crazy to recommend. Since there has been some evidence that it is useful against viruses and since OP did say to talk to a doctor, his(?) advice is basically no different than one of those commercials that says "ask your doctor if toxofloxin is right for you." People have been recommending everything under the sun to her for the last few years, this isn't much different from that either.

LukeG84

Finally found the time to watch these two latest episode. Holy shit, it's going to take all my willpower not to watch the next episode. So much happened in those last two episodes, and like Cassie, I have so many questions. 🤯 I can't believe Ygritte is dead. I was so rooting for that relationship. I was sure they were going to reunite at some point. 😔 I can't believe Shae was sleeping with Tywin, and indeed wasn't being forced to say those things at Tyrion's trial. 😠 I'm a little frustrated Arya didn't get to see Sansa, and is now headed north so that little win I was hoping for is clearly off the table.

Sean

Gets way too much hate.

Sean

Tell them the north remembers

Sean

False

Sean

No one needs or wants this negativity. But u do u.

Sean

Do you find joy in posting this over and over again. No need to be this negative.

Sean

Ur constant posts of the same negative thing over and over? Yes I agree

Kiss the Librarian

Love that the melody of The Rains of Castamere played over Tywin's death.

Kiss the Librarian

You need to read what he wrote again. Literally advised find someone who will prescribe ivermectin for a cold (ie, a quack), then said to "stay away from doctors whenever possible." I'm also opposed to for-profit commercials trying to sell people drugs they don't need, since you bring it up. Ivermectin demonstrates antiviral activity in vitro against multiple viruses, including respiratory viruses, but this activity does not translate to clinical benefit in treating respiratory viral infections, particularly COVID-19. The antiviral activity observed in vitro does not occur in physiologically relevant human respiratory cells. I wish Cassie could savor this a little longer and not move on to Season 5 so quickly. Maybe even wait a year 😂

Conchfritters

His father’s room was his old room when Tyrion was briefly hand of the king. And the first time I saw this I was upset that Tyrion killed Shae, but saw it again and she came after him with a knife. Great review!

Justin

These are so much fun to watch with you. I'm having a blast.

Clarence Newman

I think that's a factor, David. I've listened to the audiobooks of GoT, but did so after watching the full series. Incredible writing. I wouldn't be surprised if a large portion of those who dislike Season 8 were fans of the books first. The rest of us got lucky.

Clarence Newman

Lighting has since been fixed on DVD releases of the dark episodes. It makes a hell of a difference.

Clarence Newman

I'm not sure that "blindly enjoying" a show is a thing, and it's certainly not a problem. I'm reminded of an episode of Star Trek TNG where the Ferengi are using a device that gives Picard thumping headaches. Dr Crusher gives him a shot that takes the pain away. Picard says, "The pain's gone," to which Crusher replies, "Well, actually the pain is still there, it's just cloaked." No, Beverly. You may have blocked the cause of the pain, but if the pain is gone, it's gone. The same applies here. What does it matter why you enjoy a show? Enjoyment is a worthwhile end in itself, so just put your feet up and go with it.

Clarence Newman

Re Cassie's concern that Seasons 7/8 will disappoint. I respect everyone's opinion on that. We all had our own experiences and each to their own. But! As far as Cassie being worried she won't enjoy it herself, I'd ask her to remember something. There were Star Wars films she was told to avoid. She enjoyed them all. We told her she'd hate Star Trek: Nemesis....she enjoyed it. We told her Rocky 5 was not worth watching (and we were right)....she didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either and it didn't ruin her enjoyment of the series. Star Trek Beyond, Starship Troopers, Kindergarten Cop, Last Action Hero......even light-as-air films like Crocodile Dundee 2 and Twins - there were some folks who loudly stated she would hate them but she loved them anyway. Cassie has shown time and again that if she can lock her heart into the characters, she's pretty much happy to go along for the ride no matter what happens. Our opinions are our opinions, and it's fun to discuss them on here, but very few of us engage with characters as completely as Cassie does. As long as any of them are walking upright, she'll be invested in this show.

Mike Lemon

"As long as any of them are walking upright, " That isn't true. I would bet she would cry like a little girl if she watched Balto, and there was the dog movie she watched with Cinebinge (I didn't even attempt that one, I can't even handle Jurassic Bark from Futurama), neither of those walk upright.

Clarence Newman

Ahhhh yes, the Hachi movie. I believe the President of the Kleenex Corporation bought a yacht off of that one.

Sean Carroll

It’s because the writing is absolutely terrible from here on out, that’s why we hate season 7 and I hate season 6

Sean Carroll

Season 5 and 6 are average seasons with a lot of poor quality, fair enough, they aren’t total garbage but they are not good

Sean Carroll

I’m anti season 5-8 not just season 8. You don’t have to like what I say but I will give my criticisms of the show nonetheless. Regardless of that I will still enjoy her reactions because that is the main reason I’m here

Sean Carroll

I have no feelings regarding my posts at all, simply just stating my thoughts

Sean Carroll

Wildest comment ever davidjpl “I never really cared much for them, innocent or otherwise” Does that make perfect sense as you put it The quote is vague enough to not make sense to Cassie but will make total sense to those who’ve watched season 8

Sean Carroll

If people want to enjoy the show then go ahead and do so, heck if Cassie enjoys the rest of the show than that’s great too. However just because I will provide my criticisms of the show doesn’t mean my voice should be silenced

Sean Carroll

Why are you so concerned about her being swayed by the people like myself who are negative about the last 4 seasons. She can of course form her own opinion but your logic doesn’t make sense telling her to just enjoy the ride which sounds like blindly enjoying something without any critical thought

Sean Carroll

Oh clay you are simply just wrong and I look forward to providing my points when we get to season 7 as to why it’s so bad

Sean Carroll

Game of thrones is absolutely not the greatest tv show of all time. I can rattle off at least 10 shows immediately that are better than it. A show can’t have a perfect first four seasons and a bad last 4 seasons (with season 8 being considered the worst thing in tv history by many) and still call it the greatest show of all time

Sean Carroll

So if I provide very clear and detailed criticisms of not just season 8 but seasons 5-7 would you just simply fob it off as throwing a tantrum because you can’t comprehend that someone can point out problems you are unable or unwilling to see

Sean Carroll

So because I have criticisms you want me to be kicked off the Patreon, what happened to free speech? I have not insulted anyone and will not do so so what’s the problem

Sean Carroll

iMdB sAyS iT gUuD sO iT mUsT bE gUuD

Sean Carroll

To be honest she forgets a lot of stuff in this show

Sean Carroll

No the problem with the last season was that almost nothing made sense and ruined the story and characters

Sean Carroll

iMdB sAyS iT gUuD sO iT mUsT bE gUuD

Sean Carroll

Clay, why is the finale of the show rated as a 4/10 on imdb given you put so much stock in IMDb if you still think that the majority of people like season 8?

Sean Carroll

Why are you obsessed with IMDb clay? Don’t you have your own opinion?

Oliver Higgs

That’s not what “free speech” is, friend. Free speech means the government can’t throw you in jail for what you say. It has nothing whatsoever to do with whether an online platform or community decides you’re being a toxic force and boots you.

Sean Carroll

I guarantee she will be disappointed by the ending and season 8 for the most part given how she has reacted so far

Tyler Blackburn

Ruined the story? The story is the story. Characters paths are the story. There’s only one character that didn’t have his finishing arc, which I can understand some people felt was under-utilized. But I also see that you’re just spam commenting on everyone’s posts. My guy if you don’t like the series you’re not forced to watch it. I think you need a hobby. I suggest taking some of the boys down to the park and play some pickleball?

Sean

Clearly thats not the main reason ur here. Everyone can see the main reason ur here from your constant negative posts trying to yuk others yum. Nothing is lamer than a person seeing others enjoying something and constantly responding by telling they are wrong and how much that thing sucks. God bless.

Sean

We should all stop wasting energy on that. Let him just talk into the void of emptiness with his need to spread negativity when others are enjoying something.

Clarence Newman

Maybe, Sean, but she's shown a great ability to remain invested in films and tv shows if she loves the characters. You might be right, but based on her outro, putting negative expectations on season 8 seems to be spoiling her enjoyment now. Let's just allow her to ride the rollercoaster (just like we did) and decide for herself.

ChiefKC

I never said Season 7 & 8 were bad. I did enjoy watching them. I am simply stating that with the previous seasons, the writers had a roadmap for writing the show. With the last two seasons, they didn't have that guide and it certainly feels more like they were winging it at times and some of the storylines suddenly felt like they were being rushed.

JohnnyUtah

That's fine, how bout you don't call it garbage until it's seen though by her?

Kit Taylor

The last season is NOT terrible. Please do not listen to anyone but yourself. My favorite episode of the ENTIRE show is S8 E2. There are some MINOR weaknesses in the VERY final episode, but this is overall tied for the greatest show I've ever seen. F y'all that call this is a "spoiler", she needs to know. If she doesn't like it she can delete it. All you idiots are the ones that almost got me to stop after S6. Keep it up Cass.

Sean

This. 1000% this. obviously there are things many of us didn't love our would have thought could have been different. But there are still some of the most epic and cinematic scenes and visuals every made for a "tv show"

Daniel

Season 7 is absolutely awful. The dialogue is so bad it doesn't even feels like GOT anymore. Sometimes season 7 even get gets me vibes of Marvel 😂... The chemistry between several actors is horrendous and I only blame the script.

Daniel

The people who wrote season 7 and 8 must be 12 years old. Because of the quality of the show in last two seasons is so bad it deserves to mentioned forever and ever 🤣

Sean

That guy is full of joy isn't he. He must be really fun at parties. LET ME TELL YOU WHY I HATE THE THING YALL ARE ENJOYING... over and over again.

Sean Carroll

But it is absolutely terrible though

Steve Smith

You selfish people who are trying to ruin the experience of her watching GOT pure and unspoiled should KNOCK IT OFF. Let Cassie find out what happens by watching, not listening to haters.

DavidJPL

Apparently you don't understand what a "Figure of Speech" is and what "Opinions" are. LOL You cannot 'correct' an opinion.

DavidJPL

Are you having a stroke? I wrote : "and several other popular review sites". Why are you even here?

Mike Lemon

"You don't want to "go down the rabbit hole" of reading more articles because you prefer the ones that confirm your bias." Quick, what is "my bias"? Because I didn't give my opinion about taking Ivermectin either way so it will be fascinating for you to read my mind. (I'll almost guarantee you'll be wrong by the way.) Also, I explicitly stated why I wasn't looking up more articles, if you missed that, you may want to read my first reply again.

DavidJPL

Sean C., I "guarantee" she will NOT be disappointed. LOL

DavidJPL

Arya is heading east / "Essos". :)

DavidJPL

Agreed there are LOTS of great things in Season 8. Indeed, S8 Ep02 is a favorite of mine too, and is usually ranked as one of the Top 10 / best episodes of the entire Series.

Fangtorn

Dude, they hide from the guy who can raise the dead in a crypt. That's just one of the incredibly stupid things that happens in that episode and throughout that season. Yeah, the visuals in S8 were some of the best in television, but literally everything else that made the show great sucked.

james sweeney

Don't forget that Shea testified against Tyion.

Kiss the Librarian

You said it's not crazy to recommend ivermectin for the treatment of a viral infection, based on one reference you included. Notably, the reference you included is a narrative review, and it has significant limitations that affect its reliability for clinical decision-making. This article was published in September 2020, very early in the COVID-19 pandemic, and represents a hypothesis-generating review rather than a systematic evaluation of clinical evidence. More recent, higher quality *clinical* studies that explored its proposed hypothesis have proven ivermectin is useless in treating viruses. Relying on outdated information from an article that basically says "what if?" without any proof of concept, rather than higher quality evidence refuting the idea, indicates significant bias on your part. It's crazy to recommend a treatment that doesn't work. Especially something people are buying in horse pill doses based on nonsense they see on social media. If you're not licensed to make medical recommendations, please stop. If you are licensed to make medical recommendations including prescribing, then please complete some CME or read the literature about standard of care. EDTA: The critical limitation is that what works in a petri dish doesn't always work in patients.

Brian Sheely

I would be more than happy to listen to valid criticisms. However, to claim that one or more characters did things out of character is not a valid criticism. And that’s the biggest criticism I’ve heard ad nauseam. Anyone who makes that claim didn’t pay enough attention throughout the series.

My_Cousin_Mose

Seasons 7&8 are absolute dogwater. Cassie probably won't see this comment but if she does- I bet she will be able to form her own opinion.

DavidJPL

I disagree. In fact, Season 7 is my favorite because we finally get a lot of payoffs.

Mytheos Holt

Cassie at the end of last season: I don't want to keep watching! WHY ROBB HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL Cassie at the end of this season: This is the best TV I've ever seen. Also that little "The North...REMEMBERS! Kay bye" plus the fact that she has T-shirts and Funko Pops for the show is just so precious.

MertzRocks

No, Sean, your fomenting of hatred (even if you don't see that is what you are doing) is why you should be silenced.

MertzRocks

🎶Your thoughts are full of unwashed socks, your heart is full of gunk, Mr. CarrrOLL! 🎵 The three words that best describe you are as follows and I quote: 🎵 STINK! -- STANK! -- STUNK!! 🎶 🤘😎🎸 (...Hell, I'd not be surprised if you hated Firefly, too!)

MertzRocks

@Sean IMO ur being too kind to the other sean (lower-case-sean I wanna call 'im), but 🤷

Cole Jennett

Fangtorn, that’s a spoiler for anyone who hasn’t seen the last season yet. Please limit your discussion of specific events to the first 4 seasons please.

John Rando

I’m watching this Stranger Things documentary and they said they started filming the final season before they even finished writing it. What the heck were they doing the past few years??!?

Clay F

S7 is awesome. GoT S7 [IMDb 9.0, RT 93% ("After a year-long wait, Game of Thrones roars back with powerful storytelling ...")].

My_Cousin_Mose

I disagree that people who dislike the last season are the loudest. They often voice their complaints as anyone may criticize media and are almost always met with people accusing them of ruining the experience for other people, being labeled a "hate mob", and general vitriol for having an opinion. I've never seen another show or movie where the fans get so offended that others don't like it.

My_Cousin_Mose

People like lots of crap. It's still crap. But I don't mind if other people like it.

Sean Carroll

Clay, do you have anything else to say other than an opinion from someone who is not you? Do you have anything of substance to say from your own mouth?

Sean Carroll

So if someone said “the rest of the show is perfect etc” would you have a problem with that setting up expectations and spoiling it?

TheMoonKingdom

Ever hear of Star Wars, DC Snyder-Verse, even some Marvel movies? People can become emotional & mean sometimes to validate their point of view on a piece of fiction. I think it's sad if you experienced vitriol over entertainment, but remember that someone else with a different perspective on the same show may have experienced something similar. I think people should be allowed the space to have their own experiences & opinions, whatever they are. It would be nice to treat others the way we want to be treated :)

Mike Lemon

"You said it's not crazy to recommend ivermectin for the treatment of a viral infection, based on one reference you included. " No. I said it's not crazy to say to recommend talking to a doctor about a drug that has *some* evidence it could be helpful. Read what is actually written, not what you *think* is written. "...buying in horse pill doses ..." Ahh... so much is explained.

Ignis Rændl

please, Cassie, don't buy into the negativity around seasons 7 & 8 🙏🙏 obviously *no spoilers*, but there is more to Grrm's story than has been told. 🤐 remember George has yet to release his final book(s) and imo i don't think he will until he is gone, which would obviously affect the show, but... 🤐 of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions, especially concerning an artwork, just please don't feel you should be swayed by the probable onslaught of negative opinions, especially when they're from paying customers. (ps, excuse the rant, but I've already seen a few negative comments here, and out of respect it's best i keep my inner 'Hound' muzzled 🤭 ;)

Ignis Rændl

only to those who didn't figure out why...

Ignis Rændl

the problem is you are trying to push your opinion on someone who hasn't seen the entire show yet. do you understand? or does The Hound need to spell it out for you...

Darren Harrison

Actually, I would be fine with ignoring Season 8. There's one major plot line that I vehemently disagree with. I will stop following along with Cassie at the end of Season 7

Clay F

You are definitely in the minority.

Clay F

Sean, you are in the tiny bitter minority with regard to S7. Acknowledge that.

My_Cousin_Mose

There's nothing bitter about having standards. The writing is trash but obviously I can't say why til we get there.

My_Cousin_Mose

The dialogue is what really goes in the trash after S5. So many lines in the early seasons are directly pulled from the books. After S5 the amount of F bombs and cock jokes goes up exponentially. They use vulgarity to make up for the lack of interesting writing.

Clay F

S8 is stellar TV. Some may disagree with the story or that it didn't turn out how they would have preferred.

Clay F

"Tywin. My lion."

Rick Williams

Two action packed episodes with lots of people on the move. Changes are coming. But what kind of changes? Season 5 will be interesting, I am sure. I to did not want to see the Hound leave. Great reaction, Cassie. And to all you loud mouths out there. We just finished season 4. I don't give a flying crap what you think of seasons 7 & 8. All I am interested in is starting season 5. I will discover what lays ahead with Cassie. When the show originally aired, I watched it until the Red Wedding. Now I am going to watch it as long as Cassie does. Maybe this time I will finish the series unless you load mouths keep trying to spoil it for Cassie and others like me who have not watched the whole series yet. How about we wait to talk about season 7 & 8 once Cassie actually watch the episodes in those seasons. Then you can talk about them all the live long day.

A'rora Nightfall

They cut a story out of the books. Tyrion and his previous wife. I won't go into the details but they cut a scene they actually filmed where Jaime told Tyrion, as he was freeing him that Tywin lied about his wife being a whore, and she actually was a normal woman who actually loved Tyrion. This is the real reason Tyrion went to Tywin's chamber to confront his father. That is when he saw Shay in his dad's bed. Tyrion's wife not being a whore is what fueled Tyrion to kill him. Also, Arya is going to Bravos. If you recall the man who gave her the coin, that is why the captain instantly accepted her with honor.

Clay F

That's interesting. Yeah, as you would agree, the show is a different reality than the books.

Kiss the Librarian

Here's what you wrote on the topic of ivermectin for a cold: "Since there has been some evidence that it is useful against viruses and since OP did say to talk to a doctor" and under the outdated article that has not evidence ivermectin is helpful, only proposes a hypothesis that it might be helpful, you wrote: " I'm just saying it's not crazy to recommend." referring again to recommending ivermectin, under the article about ivermectin You said two things: there is evidence ivermectin treats a cold, AND you said it's ok to talk to a doctor - referring to their suggestion *to talk to a doctor WHO WILL PRESCRIBE ivermectin. And you continue to contend there's evidence ivermectin could be helpful, even after all the information I laid out for you. Ignoring context won't help you seem smarter, or dodge the dumb position no one forced you to take. It never fails to impress me how people try to sound smart or reach for authority on a subject by quoting a bit of science, without having any grasp of the subject themselves, and without having a shred of the personal humility it takes to actually do science - which is to admit when you're wrong. That's the whole point of science - to suggest an idea and test it in every way you can to see if it can be proven wrong. The whole point is to AVOID taking on beliefs and ideas that can be proven false. But here we are, arguing about what's in front of everyone's eyes, because some people cannot stand to admit when they're wrong, even when it's in front of them in black and white. "so much is explained" referring to the horse pill doses - implying what? That ivermectin is only harmful in horse pill doses? Or some other implied position that you'll pretend you didn't actually mean, to win points in a comment thread that I'm sure no one is reading any more. lol Go back to your Joe Rogan podcast, or wherever you get your "science news," and enjoy the show. Hope I don't see you in the ER, but don't worry, I'm ethically bound to take good care of you.

Look I tried to dictate that response Siri messed up every word I tried to edit it and continue to mess up words so I abandoned the damn thing it wasn't worth it I'm surprised you didn't notice all the mistakes and grammar so I'm not gonna get into this with anybody do what you want but the symptoms of all typesof parasitic infections are similar to fluococcal and bacterial that's how it got started because the Covid symptoms are are similar . An individual doctors around the country not spouting the governmental orthodoxy that allowed the governor of New York and Michigan to kill the elderly in nursing homes. had a great deal of success with that and the hydroxychloroquine. they suffered greatly trying from the feds punishing anyone not conforming to that which we know now not only did not work what was harmful . This was the evidence for the exposure of the harmful nature of all vaccines - but that's beside the point because he has a large family children they're in school they pick up all kinds of things all I made was a gesture I did not say it could destroy the complexities of the chemical naturenature of the organisms only that it might mitigate its affects which is the way it was being used . So let's give this a rest what do you say ? Oh I know I'm done this is it for me

@Nofinwe Well that was a parade of science denying conspiracy theories. Good luck with that. Stay away from babies, old people, and the immunocompromised, please.

Form your own opinion on season 8, the hate it received was blown out of proportion.

Clay F

Strongly agree.

S7 writing is awesome. The vast majority of the audience very much enjoyed S7. They have standards. Your so-called standards (apparently freakish, egocentric) are in the tiny minority and not shared by most of us in the audience or the critics. Here, I go with the standards of the vast majority over your odd narrow-minded standards any day. S7 is loved by the audience and highly critically acclaimed - their standards for excellence are satisfied. IMDb 9.0, RT 93% . "The writing is trash but obviously I can't say why til we get there." Let me guess, you disagreed with the story, or it didn't turn out how you would have preferred. Had nothing to do with standards.

Clay F

She will love Seasons 7/8, just as she did all of the seasons thus far. S7/ S8 is stellar TV. Some may disagree with the story or that it didn't turn out how they would have preferred. I've seen people watch S7 or S8, and are puzzled why others are so negative. Count me in that camp of being puzzled. S7 and S8 are great.

Clay F

S6, S7, and S8 are awesome writing. Kudos to D and D.
