Yay for Moonstruck, and I eagerly anticipate A Philadelphia Story. 0:10-0:21 -> 16:27 :-) 17:47 When I first saw this movie, my immediate unironic reaction before I caught myself was: "She got a Cher hairdo!" 18:56 Sure, Cher, Nic Cage, yadda yadda, but I consider the John Mahoney / Olympia Dukakis segment to be worth the admission price on its own.

I grew up second generation in this culture. Yes, everything is open for discussion and display, and you were challenged on any opinion, comment, or statement of that came out of your mouth, even if it was agreed with by the person (usually people) challenging you. It made participating on high school and college debate teams a breeze as nothing could rattle me and I was raised to discuss everything. Or as one of my uncles used to tell me, "You've got 20 people in this room having 21 conversations and everyone thinks they're right and that everyone else is listening to them. " We would also routinely have as many as 60 people stop by Christmas Day and the family gathered every Sunday for a regular meal that would put the holiday meals of most non-Mediterranean families to shame.
