I'll tell you what you just watched - you watched a close group of friends getting stalked and killed one by one by one by a masked killer until the final girl/Arnold confronts and overcomes him. That's right - you watched your first (actually you already watched Halloween, so I'm a dummy) slasher movie. It just feints at being a steroid-fueled 80:s action movie first.

Man I miss the slow motion for the jump scares; that was the best. I think Stargate is more your speed; it has the scary aliens and the love story. But The Avengers is the best alien story in modern times - IMO.

Fun fact for ya Cassie: This film gave us two governors...and almost a third. Of course Arnold in CA, Jessie Venture in MN...and your seemingly favorite tracker, Billy (played by Sonny Landham) ran and lost for Governor of KY in the early 2000's. Strange, huh?

This makes about the 15th time I've seen this, I saw it in college when it first came out and I have to say the alien design still stands as an absolute eww masterpiece. Lol. So realistic, the effects around the alien have obviously aged, but the alien itself could be dropped right into a current movie and work brilliantly. Cassie as always loved this reaction.
