This map is a reward for $20-tier patron Jacob Sias!

It's a map of the Orleans territory C. 1805 (dark purple), right after the Louisiana purchase. The Louisiana territory (light purple), United States (blue), and New Spain (red) are also shown.

Don't forget to message us for your reward requests!

Question for Blue: Is there any aspect of American history you'd really like to tell, such as the journey of Lewis and Clark, or how some of the most revolutionary inventions of the earlty 20th century came about (planes, automobiles, radio, television, etc.)

He wanted to ensure the Americans fought the British and stayed onside with the french. After the loss of Haïti/ Saint Domingue and the end of his Carribean dreams, it wasn’t worth holding a source of grain he couldn’t get to Europe regularly through the brits. This is my understanding.
