Oh Marinette...She looks so happy talking to Jagged, it's a real punch to the gut to see her crying like that. Like, no girl you're not wrong! Your parents failed you when it came to Chloe, you shouldn't have to get support from other adults!!! At least it seems like they're finally realizing how much they messed up...

This update was amazing!! Not to be personal but these past two weeks have been so terrible at work and today was the absolute worst of them all- so seeing your update was such a nice surprise at the end of the day TwT Your art is always so inspiring!! The way you convey mood is oughhh eats it up!! I loved seeing more of Marinettes design work! And thank goodness she finally got to cry... it's been well overdue :(

I like how the borders of Jagged's mental image change as he tells Tom and Sabine about what Chloe did. Are those lice in the frame where Marinette is ripping the akuma in half? Maybe a larvae of some kind?

Drat drat and double DRAT!!!! Get your slimy hands off her you over grown candy cane!!! I'm glad Marinette can get some time to cry and feel sad, thanks Imago! Jagged is great! Didn't he start working with her back in Guitar Villain or the one where she made his album cover? It's cool that we got to see a little more of the time Chloe saw Marinette destroy the akuma. Lore is always nice.

I am sure Marinette will have very normal and healthy feelings about how it took an adult talking about her issues for her parents to notice them. Yup mhm no angst there wonderful chapters, eagerly and patiently awaiting more!!

God this whole thing was gorgeous. Jagged is the literal best and I love him so much. Just the way that Marinette lights up when she talks to him, it's such a relief to see. And then that gut punch after Jagged spills the tea to Tom and Sabine and Marinette absolutely breaks down over how it took some random adult to make her parents actually realize the depths of her bullying situation. Tikki, you'd better soften to Imago after this, or I swear I'm going to...well okay I'm not going to do anything because Tikki is being genuinely helpful and supportive of Marinette and just has to overcome the biases left in her by the Sage, but I'm still going to be annoyed! And meanwhile, Gabriel gets to do his whole poetic monologue thing and now has set his eyes, however unknowingly, on acquiring Marinette for his label. I'm sure that nothing bad will come from this! But seriously, fantastic work as always! I understand how much you have going on in your daily life, so I really appreciate you taking the time to create this incredible story. Your work is immensely appreciated, and please take all the time you need to write it! I'd rather wait a year for amazing content than have you burn yourself out trying to adhere to some arbitrary schedule or appease people who don't get that life takes precedence over art. (cough cough that one rando you called out on your Tumblr cough cough) Thank you so much for this update, and be well!

God as much as we the audience know and love Jagged Stone, and trust Marinette to handle herself, Sabine has ever right and yet no right to get made about Jagged knowing her. You've fully failed as a parent if an adult is allowed to get to know your child as closely as Jagged knows Marinette without you being *any* the wiser. Not even a mention? Like children shouldn't be afraid of adults and should have healthy interactions, but to keep something so hidden? Fuuuuuuck Like Im losing so much empathy for Sabine and Tom, neglectful in their love. But that's the point I suppose

To be fair to Jagged, he didn't so much make things worse as add additional perspective as to just how fucked up Tom and Sabine's relationship with Marinette is right now. He didn't do anything wrong; as a matter of fact, he's the one who's really going above and beyond in showing how he cares for her. The problem is that in doing so, he served to highlight just how much Marinette's own parents dismissed her struggles while also getting, at least in Sabine's case, hypocritically uptight about Marinette having a close professional and personal relationship with another adult. And that's not on Jagged, that's on them.

I didn’t quite understand how fed up Mari’s relationship with her parents was but ig I understand now lol ( poor Mari) Bc how tf did they not know jagged is getting designs from her??? im so obsessed with the colors and textures of feralnette. the panels are BEAUTIFULLLL and the colors do such an amazing job of conveying tone. the switch to gabriel's purple face while he's looking out the window is just. wonderful

I love how Jagged Stone so naturally draws out this side of Marinette. It’s like she’s talking to an adult but she doesn’t have to be one. I think the last time she felt that way was master fu. Now to be super clear obviously Jagged’s got his own failures that he has to make right with Luka and Juleka. But it’s really great Marinette gets to have PEOPLE in her corner. I’m counting the giant raccoon god as people.

I think you’re onto something lowkey I thought he just figured he was delirious and gave up but it is odd that a despair that strong wouldn’t be super attractive to him as hawkmoth… ( my theory was imago stole his perception of marinette or smth)

The hint of recognition from Nooroo in that first panel of him, looks like the little guy might be at least faintly suspecting something is up. If so- I can’t imagine the amount of relief he must feel knowing that someone is able to block Hawkmoth’s senses.

I HATE how Gabe is now looking for Mari in the professional area. Something tells me that he'll be the one to tell (if accidentally) her parents that shes MDC. And if she has more clients than just Jagged, they're gonna be blaming that instead of actually acknowledging what they've done. But also I wonder how the Blasphemous and Nooroo were before

That's actually one of the things I thought was a lovely note in this set: Jagged clearly knows he's been a shitty father to his own twins, and you can see him getting increasingly pissed with Sabine and Tom over how they both seem to have been willingly oblivious (at least as far as he can see) to Marinette's struggles against Chloe. He might have his own problems to fix but he can also sniff them out in others when he sees them.

I could definitely be wrong but I feel like it’s MARINETTE’S memories that come to mind when he is talking about it… bc i feel like if he DID see it happen he’d be like “that was metal AF” the only reason why I feel he would not mention it if he did is in case he thought her parents would be upset weird about it ( which he didn’t really realize I think till he was about leaving)
