OK this is a tech update to add export and import functions to the July 4 release. of the game. That's the only change you'll notice.

When you install this update you do not need to uninstall the previous version. Just install over top of the existing game. Any game you want to continue playing in the next update will need to be exported before installing the next release.

I want to get some actual mileage on this before making the jump to the new engine.

How to export a game:

Load the game you want to export.

Go to the hallway. (You don't have to but you'll end up there any way.)

Click on the inventory box sitting on the couch.

In the bottom left corner of the inventory screen click the little green brain slug.

On the console screen choose [Export Game to FIle ...]

This opens a file save screen.

Pick a folder to keep the save in and name the save file.

If anything but "File saved successfully" comes up please let me know.

Now you have a "JSON" file that contains all your progress in the game. It would probably be a good thing to add to your backup data.

Once we get to the new game engine importing will be on the title screen. If you want to import into the old version you can use the console. Importing is going to replace all the progress in the current game. You should start a new play through to import into. This will become automatic in the next release.

Importing:

From the title screen choose [New Defrostee]

Click the freezer tube open and answer Randy's first question to skip instructions.

As soon as the inventory box appears in the top right click on it.

Click the brain slug in the bottom left to access the console.

Click [Import Game from File ...]

Choose a game file exported from TBT.

if anything but "Save your imported game to a new slot" appears please let me know.
