Theo is my absolute favorite character. she is just so bad ass! Episode 3, 5, 6, 8 & 9 are my favorite episodes…I know that’s a lot of episodes to be my favorites but the show is just so good and very well written lol!

I’m just catching up on these(I love your movie/show reacts. I feel like you’d be a great movie buddy if we were friends ☺️) but, in you never got an explanation and, apologies if you did or caught on later but, “Mr. Smiley” was the little girl’s internalized escape from being SA by the foster dad. She would look up at the ceiling to try and disassociate while he was abusing her. Pareidolia kicked in (which is the human psyche’s ability to see/recognize/associate faces in objects or settings where there isn’t any. Think an image of Jesus on a piece of toast or a face in the clouds) and she created “Mr. Smiley” from both her foster dad’s demeanor and the wood plank in the ceiling. A lot of SA victims do this, especially kids. That’s what Theo saw when she laid on the couch, she basically took the girl’s place mentally/emotionally in that moment. Hope that helped.
