wasnt expecting to shed a few baby tears this ep… yet here we are 🥹 the fact that the twins are the youngest in the crain family, yet are the main 2 who got abandoned and dealt the worst end of the stick is heartbreaking

oh this episode broke my heart. i remember the first time i watched it, when i realized luke was cold because of nell's rigor mortis i was so sad. (fun fact that i noticed on this watch, when baby luke walks over to nell's bed, you can count that their beds are seven steps away from each other :( ) i find next to nell and luke, luke and steve are my second favourite pair. the way luke knows that he's hurt his siblings over and over again, and despite steve's frustration he (unlike shirley) never really closes himself off from luke. (he still pisses me off sometimes though, even though he ended up being right about luke still needing to be wary of his friend)

Thanks for reminding me how hard Luke’s life was 😭! In my opinion I feel like Nell & Luke had it the worst! But yes I’m glad you’re loving this show as much as we do! It’s so well written, acted, filmed just everything. Pay attention to the cinematography in episode 6 because it’s top tier cinema for sure. Love you and your reactions!

🚨 this isn’t a spoiler for Episode 6, just a cool little thing to look out for because some people miss it the first time and it deserves to be acknowledged: so Episode 6 contains of a total of 3-4 cuts only which means there’s about 3-4 really long shots that was done in just ONE TAKE! the longest shot is about 23 minutes…really great camera work and kudos to all the actors/actresses that was able to memorize their lines for that long (which if i’m not mistaken, one of them said they even got to improvise some lines just because it was such long takes which is even more impressive if you ask me!)

Joey put recovery from addiction so well. I've been struggling with addiction (to alcohol) myself, and the way that she put it brought me to tears. It's not something that's linear. It's very consecutive. You may have some good days, but you can have some bad days as well. Full relapse, even. It's hard to deal with, but it's a struggle that you have to have the strength to push past. (I say that as I've been drinking a couple of beers) It's hard to do, babes, but when you've reached a point of clarity, it's almost breathtaking. It's a point where you have to be proud of yourself for even the littlest of achievements. Positive reinforcement is the way to go through anything like that, and I stand by that.
