Flora & Miles were trying to protect Dani at the end and that’s why they ran downstairs. it was so selfless of Flora to make up a whole nightmare about her deceased mom just because she knew it would get Dani to stay and not run into the Lady in the Lake, that’s why she kept saying “just stay here with me a few more minutes” they were stalling and that would explain why they locked her in the closet in the first episode too! these kids are actually the sweetest little angels 🥹 yes, even Miles lol.

That bonfire scene had me in shambles. The way he describes his mothers passing and her fading away was toooo relatable as well as the conflicted feelings that come with being there for them.
