WHATS GOOD????

Hello everyone here is my long awaited beautiful stunning critically acclaimed web slinger fanart. I watched ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE on Sunday and it popped off astronomically. I --like it even more than the last one.....??? When I saw this cowboy I obviously had a contractual obligation to draw it. And so I did. I was in my element. And I saw that concept art and he was wearing the exact outfit I put every cowboy in it I????? I couldn't see his feet I couldn't see the horse getup and I was UNBOTHERED- I MADE DO????? The bandana mask is insane ingenious. 

And yes I will be doing everything in my power to draw Miguel O'hara and spider punky wunky Hobie. I want to draw their likeness and it is sorta scaring me (because of lack of good non-phone-camera-capture-of-movie-theater-screen references) but I will do my best. When I draw a fanart I like to take my creative liberties with likeness but I don't wanna do that this time and the reference department is DRY. I am saving fancams of them so I can get as much scope of their faces as possible. SOON!!!

ANYWAYS here is mine. It is so straightforward. I drew a cowboy on a horse but made it Spider-man. Lineart-based super basic, pretty consistent line weights and then I colored it no value variation. I did add some black dark shadows here and there for some contrast. Then I tried little different backgrounds but just made it this super basic text. BUT for the textures, I brought it into Procreate, duplicated the color layer and applied the halftone effect to only one of those layers (top) so that I could lower the opacity and have a subtler halftone effect than normal. Then I added a paper texture AND a halftone-ish texture from True Grit Texture Supply to the background AND to the text (separately.. I think). And then I made the colors a little more zingy (notably greenish highlights) in Lightroom.

I didn't even really love it that much it was just another of them cowboys but the reception was excellent you all seem to love it so thank you so much!
