The costumes were prepared just for the testing exercise. These guys have their own lives to live, after all.

Ya'll just helped me unlock an old memory of mine by getting me to rewatch S3E20. As I've alluded to in a few places in this journey previously, it was right around here (late season 3) where I had caught up to MHA back in 2018. As a 14 year old with no money at the time, I couldn't catch up with MHA the normal way by just subscribing to Crunchyroll or whatever. So what I ended up doing was using VRV, a streaming service that used to be REALLY big with sponsorships with creators that shut down a few years ago. IIRC, VRV had the first two seasons of MHA on their free tier (with ads), which is how I initially started to get myself caught up with the anime. Problem was, because season 3 was still rolling out weekly, they had some of those episodes behind the paid tier, leaving me at a dead end. To get past this roadblock, I took up the 1 month free trial VRV had for their premium package so I could try to catch the remaining S3 eps. Now, for whatever reason, I must not have done this after trying find out how many episodes S3 had left. Perhaps because I was just stupid or because I just wasn't as invested with the anime industry as I am these days, with the only prior anime I had made a point to keep up with being Dragon Ball Super (which even then I didn't use a "traditional" means of doing so). I say all this because when S3 E20, an episode that was really just there to act as a plug for MHA Two Heroes, came popping up outta nowhere and pretty much wasted one of the weeks for my free trial, I was NOT happy 😆😂 Pretty sure I managed to keep up with the rest of S3 anyway, so it worked out. I can also appreciate episode 20 for the fun little detour it is now. Y'know, I lowkey miss the days when the anime I was trying to watch wasn't as readily available to me and I had to do stupid shit like this lol. Gave more weight to it. Especially compared to now where I'm in the business of reading manga, so a lot of the big ongoing ones these days are really just about the presentation for me rather than getting to see how the story unfolds.

Holy shit I have not heard the name VRV in so long that's a real throwback its how I watched My Hero Academia up to Season 3 and Jojo's up to Part 4 before I learned how to sail the seven seas afterwards.

The "rescue-ee" guilting Deku sucks, as he's hard on himself to start with. But i guess the lesson will stick. Ochaco is kinda butting up hard against the Bechdel Test lately; hopefully she can focus on this exam and not just get all conflicted over Deku. Mineta really likes to w(h)ine a lot. Twinkles!!! The test itself seems relevant: needing to save civilians and battling badies is rarely exclusive, they need to learn to do both at once. From the side episode: "...deep in his villainous heart." What an amusing turn of phrase -- this love-story-that-didnt-exist was so melodramatic... though I'm not sure I want to know the details of a fabricated love affair with Midnight.
