Bakugo is very smart, but unfortunately that perceptiveness is a cherry on top of a red velvet cake of a personality

JT

Red Velvet cake is super appealing though 😀

Chris Collier

Inasa! If I had a nickel for every anime you’ve watched with a loud mouth abrasive wind user, I’d have two nickels

Chris Collier

No it’s NOT Red velvet cake is dull and taste bad! When I’m president I will be enforcing a 70% sales tax on red velvet cake!!

JT

Don't know what kinda cake you've been served lol. If ya only buy the super cheap stuff that's kept on the store shelf the maybe I get ya, but any time I've ever gotten it from a proper bakery it's on par with chocolate cake. Besides, u only plan to raise it by 70% instead of 100 bc u secretly love it deep down 😏😏😏😏

Quito

Crazy how Todoroki and Bakugo were the only ones to fail in the class. But I like that they did that. Having the main-ish characters fail at something instead of it being always the side/background characters. But I can't wait to see the next episode reaction, one of my personal favorite episodes. Plus, ep 24-25 finale. Know you going to love him (who doesn't)

2026-10-22 14:00 Not saying this to make his reasoning come off as less petty (bc it is and it's meant to be), but Inasa's grudge with Endeavor wasn't simply because he wouldn't give him an autograph. It's Endeavor's whole demeanor. The one that constantly looks past everyone else and come across as perpetually scornful and hateful. Everything a hero really shouldn't be. Had Endeavor just turned him down normally (aka not pushing the kid over and telling him get tf outta his way with zero apologies), I don't think he would've had such a chip on his shoulder. Being his son and expressing a similar demeanor during their first meeting, it's not hard to see why Inasa would think Todoroki ain't much different. It's easy for us to see how he changed as the audience. But from Inasa's perspective, it's only been, what, a few months since that first impression? Again, this isn't to justify his resentment of Todoroki bc it's supposed to be misplaced. Just felt the need to articulate this since ya'll ended up going down quite the detour with autographs lol (that and just leaving Inasa's motivation at surface level like that is kinda dampening the nuance of his character)

Technically, Shinazugawa doesn’t actually use wind (if that is who you are referring to)

Quito

I really like how AFO just want to be a devil, just cause. No tragic backstory or messed up ideology/psychology to justify his actions or reasons. You don't get many villains like that in shows. That just want to be evil like how heroes want to do good. Truly simply that and good written villain. I like how different all the villains are in the show based on stuff like that.

I wanna try and add some perspective so as not to minimize Inasa’s gripe. It’s not about an autograph or even Endeavor and/or Shoto being dicks. It’s about ideals. For him, being a hero means something specific. It represents something. And for him, Endeavor is the opposite of that ideal. He believes a hero should be uplifting, inspiring, and kind. And he loves heroes for that reason. For him, Endeavor opposes his very idea of what a hero is so for him to be considered the #2 hero is almost like a slap in the face. The autograph isn’t where this stems from. The autograph was just the moment he was able to clearly look at Endeavor and see into his eyes and really take in the type of person Endeavor presented as.

Wingus

Yeah, we as adults tend to make harsh judgments of people we meet if they act in a way we don’t like. Inasa was and is still just a kid, remember he’s a first year like the rest of our cast meaning he’s around 15, the flashback probably puts him at half that age. If he was in his 20’s, then yeah, I’d say he should be judged more harshly on keeping a grudge, but as a child, it’s likely more difficult to be as rational. Good thing is that he does realize his mistake, so that’s a plus.

JT

Mineta passed while Todoroki and Bakugo failed. Guess that means he's the better character

"He's" my favorite MHA character, can't wait to see what they think

Luhbabytay

Best episode this season coming… omg gotta wait a few more days 😩

Also the next episode is PEAK One of my favorite episodes in the series

To be fair to Gale Force, it probably wasn't just the rejected autograph. If you looked up to someone (like he presumably did with Endeavor) as a small child only for this massive grown man to slap your hand away and scare you while he looks at you the way he did probably traumatized him that's what I assume had the lasting impact. That's how I see it at least. Personally I still feel like Endeavor was more of the dick than Todoroki only because with GF's interaction with Todoroki, he was clearly not in a sociable mood, he just lost a competitive test by a hair's length so tension was a little high for him and he's also a kid/teenager. Endeavor is the (literal) adult in the room and had this poor kid cowering in the corner while he towered over him like a rabid bear.

To acknowledge totoroki being the worst in that situation over endeavor hurts but I also saw it, and at the same time though seeing that totoroki from the past was whiplash because it shows just how far he had come from that angry self centered attitude. I’m glad they showed that and I’m proud at totoroki for how much he changed.

K Kasher

I love hearing you guys tell stories about ur lives just a lil sum I wanna say I appreciated this reaction.☺️

K Kasher

37:34 King Explosion murder Bucky!!. I love that this is absolute peak Bucky.😭😂

K Kasher

Ohh boy the moment I been waiting for yall to see since season 1 I can’t wait to see the next season episode reaction. IM SO HYPE!!

Aelis

I'm glad you guys talked about the value of autographs vs actual interactions because you guys have been "influencers" that I've respected because of your fan interactions. I've been a fan for a few years now, and you've even responded to several of my comments or mentioned something I said in your videos. As a fan, that has meant more to me than you writing my name on an autograph or something and then immediately forgetting it.

Jennywocky

Totally with you on this. K&B not only flag comments as they read them but sometimes bring up stuff people posted in their later vids. It helps this feel like a little community and means a lot.

dimitoriasu

Enjoyed the story time yall, was really nice to learn a little tid bits about yall.

Cynergy

I didn’t fall for this ragebait 😂

Jennywocky

I'm gonna liberate Red Velvet and buy it despite the 70% tariff and then hand it out to the masses so that the country will rise in rebellion against this kind of political chicanery! NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES -- SOMETIMES THEY CARRY CAKE BOXES!

E21: “Fire tornados – isn’t that bad???” Lol, I already forgot Matt Shipman (AoT’s Floch) was voicing Inasa / Gale Force, roflmao – does he always have to play such edgy characters?! I like this whole situation from a story perspective, though – what seems superficially like teen drama is actually pretty real experientially. These kids are young, without a lot of memories to filter through what happens to them, and they’re interpreting new events based on that small collection of life experiences + their own emotional responses to those situations. The longer the episode runs, it feels like Inasa (rather than just being a jerk) came into these situations with certain expectations that felt reasonable to him, hoping to connect with Todoroki despite Endeavor being such a jerk; but because Todoroki was still working through his own feelings towards his dad + viewed events differently, he responded in a way too similar to Endeavor’s prior disregard that had wounded Inasa earlier, and thus he brought that baggage forward. The judgment felt reasonable to him but it wasn’t. Todoroki is just another fallible human being and couldn’t be what Inasa expected, nor did he mean anything personal by that. I’m not sure I agree about Todoroki being “worse” because I TOTALLY understood Todoroki’s perspective when he slapped Inasa down after their race. I mean, I agree that an older and wiser Todoroki would have been kinder towards Inasa, recognizing he was trying to connect with him – but Todoroki the kid was just trying to challenge himself, achieve his own goals, there was nothing personal (good or bad) towards the other kids and they didn’t even factor into his choices, yet Inasa had made the situation all about himself – had made the race into a personal competition to… force himself into Todoroki’s life somehow? Todoroki wasn’t trying to hurt Inasa, but he was definitely frustrated by him and ended up slapping him down way too hard. (Then again, I’ve been in Inasa’s position before. I remember one situation some years back, where I tried too hard to connect with someone I kinda hero-worshipped, and when they basically drew a boundary – which I realized later was reasonable, because we all have finite amounts of energy in life and need to dedicate it to our priorities – I was quietly very hurt and felt resentment over, which I had to work through and get over.) Why is being a human being so hard sometimes? Todoroki has had such a hard road in life, internally, but in this episode again he’s truly doing the inner work he needs to in order to come to terms. He might be feeling stuck, but he’s actually moving forward -- realizing some of his past strategies and coping mechanisms will only hinder him, and so he needs to adjust even more in regards to his father. I remember working through similar things when younger and how difficult it was, plus humbling to realize what you thought was the right way forward needed to be adjusted yet again. But I do believe in Todoroki and think he’s going to work through all this. I hope the way he and Inasa came together in the test at the end suggests they might eventually be friends and move past this. Again, the [bad] connection between the two of them is… Endeavor. That damn guy. His crappy attitude is like sand, it gets into everything.

Just knowing we are getting so close to Season 4 is making me hyped. One of my favorite seasons and a couple of my favorite characters coming up.

JT

Sung Jin-woo is weird and fat and ugly and stupid and short. Not as much as Satoru Gojo tho

Jennywocky

E22: I was pretty ecstatic to call Toga's involvement, although i hope Cami is ok. She does seem unhinged, whereas Raven Darkholme (Mystique) in the comic history seems more balanced, spent time in both genders (Destiny and s/he were together for some time), and even originally sent Rogue to Xavier knowing she couldn't help her control her powers. Raven's always been a pretty nuanced character. So it looks like Bakugo and Deku will finally "have it out"-- although Bakugo might be biting off more than he expected considering Deku's improved confidence and skill. While it stings All Might didnt pick him, it's about more than ambition: Deku was All Might's spiritual successor who had no power, so All Might chose him so he'd have power. I hope this reckoning leads to a better relationship between them. Thank you for sharing about your celebrity experiences, i appreciate the stories. People are just people and we all just want to live normally sometimes no matter what we are known for. That's cool you were able to just have a "normal" interaction with Tarantino, sharing a common experience together. (I do gotta ask if he left you a tip though -- roflmao!! As per Reservoir Dogs)

I think it’s also important that the 2 who failed were considered powerhouses. The point is to show that just bc you have strong quirks doesn’t necessarily make you a good hero. There are many other aspects to being a good “hero” other than just fighting, and that’s the point of the exam. So I’m glad they had the 2 “strongest” fighters fail due to poor behavior
