Really don't get the copyright issues since videos with the tracks you described get put front and center in videos dedicated to them even from channels that aren't Atlus official or anything. fucking YT man...

2026-10-20 03:00 Gameplay Tips * The diner on Shibuya's Central Street is another means of raising social stats. Their coffee or surprise sando can help raise Guts. Costs money and time though. * You now have access to Mementos. As others here have alluded to in the past, this is a place that you can grind money, EXP, and obtain Shadows you may have in completed Palaces. Like with dedicated Palaces, my previous advice about conserving SP, trying to visit it as minimally as possible, and use of the Velvet Room applies. * Like Morgana suggested, unlike main Palaces, the floor plans of Mementos are all procedurally generated and possess no fixed layout. Regardless, it's best if you do a perimeter check of each floor you get dropped into so you can see all the chests that have been generated on each floor. * You're free to handle Mementos requests whenever you want, though I do advise not taking on each and every one as soon as you receive them. Stacking 2-4 requests before taking a trip there is probably a good enough balance that won't sacrifice too much time that could spent building social stats, Confidants, etc. * I wouldn't even make Iwai one of you priorities when it comes to Guts for now, because that's Guts rank 4. That time will come far later. For now, ya should try getting it up there for the sake of progressing things with Takemi. * You can register all of your currently held Personas at once by hitting square in the Register menu (I should also add that ya might want to have a good look at any unfamiliar menu so that you can see the button prompts that let you do things like this lol)

As such, I myself haven't gotten much familiarity with his mechanics since the guide I'm using for my ongoing run seems to be keeping me away from Mementos for now (a lot of this video is stuff I've actually seen for the first time). What I'm saying is: I can't help ya with him just yet lmao

BTW Makoto happens to be voiced by Cherami Leigh (the same English VA as Tome Kurata in MP 100, before she was recast for S3). When I said I surprised by Cherami's range after I looked up her other roles, Makoto was the one that really jumped off the page. Never woulda guessed from the two voices.

Mishima handling the Phan-Site like how I be making these comments (jk I don't pull all-nighters for this shit lol)

Traci

Will seeds are located in each palace 3 to be exact gotta find all 3 then Jose will change it to a special that can help in battle kamoshida had 3 but first 2 are easy to find the last one is a powerful boss fight but it does oay afterwards I didnt know of will seeds because I played the original persona 5 persona 5 royal is like a sequel but more story and characters added a remake maybe? Lol that's probably better to call it that 🤣 but afterwards I collected them all after I found out about the will seeds

Mosh Mia

Makoto comes across badly at first, but get to know her as the story progresses and she is second only to Kasumi Yoshizawa IMO!

2026-10-20 03:00 Oh yeah in case ya'll (K&B) haven't been able to recognize my new pfp, it's actually the MegaTen franchise's design for Jack Frost! This little guy is what Pikachu is to Pokémon for MegaTen games, in that he's pretty much their main mascot. He appears in most entries and has had a bunch of different variations based around his original form. Arguably has the most merch out of any MegaTen creature as well. He even has a catchphrase in the form of his laugh, "Hee Ho!" Figured I might as well use him for my pfp since P5R is gonna be carrying most my activity here on the channel for a little while.

Mementos' layout is moderately RNG based. So, the map resets frequently. Makes for excellent grinding, but is heck on navigating

Not gonna watch this series since my brother is a big Persona fan and wants me to experience it naturally. So wanted to ask as to how their journey through it is going so far? Not about if they're enjoying it, cuz that's gonna be a given. If they're getting a good grasp on the mechanics. Or if there have been some bumps for them. Also *Ken & Beth, DO NOT READ THIS* Are Persona games the type of JRPG that require more than 1 playthrough to get the full experience? Like I know there's a true ending that requires specific things to be done. Think they'll get it on the first run?

JT

As far as mechanics go, they're not doing too bad as peeps who are not very familiar with Persona or JRPGS in general. It's a bit hard to say if they're keeping a good grasp bc they "just" got to the end of what would be considered P5R's tutorial phase. Any tips from comments haven't been implemented in footage yet bc they record ahead, so we'll see what happens. As for your second question, it kinda varies from title to title. Persona 3 -5 each "do" have multiple endings depending on certain social link rankings, dialogue choices, etc. I myself haven't experienced the new story added in P5 Royal (I'm going thru it as the journey goes, so I'm really not the best person to ask on this). The best answer I can give is that it'll come down to the folks here giving 'em the right advice at the right time.

Yoshitsune

Knowledge is the longest stat to level up. So, keep studying! Always answer the right quiz from your teacher, cheat with google if you have too lol Also, always do the cross puzzle at your home whenever you see it at the dining table in the coffee/curry place.

JT

Yeah Mementos was already what would really determine just how much time a player would spend with Persona 5, and Royal made it even more so with Jose and all of his stuff lol. No big story beats to give you a moment that feels like a good place to call it for the day. It's winding procedurally generated passages also make it easy to get lost in (figuratively and literally).

2026-10-20 08:00 Don't forget, if you're getting exp for your personas via negotiations, you're sacrificing some of the experience Joker and the party members would have gotten. And if you're the ones getting ambushed by shadows, you won't be able to Baton Pass!

Also, I know I'm not the only one here who wouldn't mind any post-main-video gameplay if the urge to grind out some levels in Mementos or tackle the Velvet Room combat trials takes either of you :P

Rotom

In the original version of P5 mementos had a single song. I won't say how many floors there are, but I will say that listening to one of the worst songs in the game for easily 20+ hours was hell. Especially since it ISN'T EVEN A MINUTE LONG. Pretty much everyone muted it eventually. Thankfully this is royal though! And in Royal they expanded that to I think 5 songs? And all of them are significantly better than the OG. So you're in good hands! Talking on p5x again, because I guess that's my role as the local p5X player, if they do something like this again in 6 I really hope they take some notes from X. X doesn't have randomly generated floors, it introduces new mechanics, puzzles, and even enemy types every 5-10 floors, and it has a much bigger focus on exploration. Exploring, solving puzzles, and beating mini bosses gets you train tickets that you can use to unlock more areas and expand your reach. I'd be down for keeping it randomly generated in 6 given it's kinda meant to be a place to grind, but adding the new mechanics as it goes on would help a LOT with the drag of it. Some examples from X include shadows that can steal chests that you have to chase down, giant rolling ball shadows you have to avoid, flying shadows where you have to bait out an attack before countering to start a fight. Said attack can also break open chests/walls. A supercharge for the car that not only makes you faster, but can be used to break open chests, fans and rotating platforms, and more!

Rotom

I'd say they're overall getting a decent grasp. Some things they don't have completely, but should pretty easily come to them with time. The game dumps a LOT on you pretty early and doesn't show it all the best, but when you get into the actual game that all tends to iron out. As for your 2nd question kinda yes, but also no. True ending is pretty easy to get, especially if you're given even just a very minimal hint. You can also pretty easily see the other endings by reloading an old save and, even if you don't do that, all you're missing is, at best, a 5 or 10 minute scene. The more important matter is social links. Fully completing every social link requires some pretty good time management. It's not impossible for a new player without advice, there is a BIT of wiggle room, but there's not much. I can already pretty much guarantee they won't be fully completing all links. That is OK though! Hardcore fans will say you have to do it all to get the full experience, and I do think they're worth it, but ultimately they don't super tie into the main story so it's more the equivalent of missing a side quest or 2. Personally I think a big part of persona IS not being able to max them all and choosing who you actually want to spend time with and are interested in. The rest you can look up on youtube pretty easily without reducing the experience. The only ones I think could be argued to be important for the "full" experience are the party members, but they're your party members so you're probably naturally doing them anyway.

Cosmic Melon

Watching Jose drive off after so much time spent searching for him was genuinely hilarious 😂

Alex

So when it comes with Jose, it is completely random on when he shows up in Mementos. The moment you enter a floor in mementos Jose will trigger a cutscene when he is on your floor. Also! If you press R1 for the map you will see his face Icon. If his Icon is NOT on the map Jose is not on that floor. The moment you go into the next floor, there is a CHANCE that Jose will trigger a cutscene and that is finally the moment he is on your floor. *Also, I want to bring this up again. If you press Triangle 🔺️ and go to Equip, choose any character and you can equip Protectors, Accessories, and Outfits! Especially for Accessories, since you received the DLC bonuses you can equip either the Team Glasses which boosts EXP gained by 15% in battle or the S.E.E.S. Armband which Increases money gained by 15%. Each team member can equip either of those two Accessories and they all get the bonuses! *I also want to bring this up again as well. Have fun with the Outfits! You can change the team members' outfits and some of them even change the battle music! *Also also, I would say that you should definitely start controlling Morgana instead of him acting on his own. Like when Kamoshida did that huge attack where you need to guard and Morgana didn't guard and he got knocked out for the remainder of the Boss fight and he unfortunately didn't get any EXP from that fight.
