Persona 5 Journey Playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWcjB_UdLS4Y&si=gvMzVZYMRQLQZHi4 Suspicious Person - Track that plays when Yusuke meets the party. A Woman - Theme of Madarame's Palace. The title will make sense once you've finished with this place, if you haven't already. A Woman (another version) - Alternate theme for specific areas of Madarame's Palace. The Spirit - Track that plays when a Confidant ranks up. Life Goes On - Track that plays during school exams. I've used this one while studying for college exams myself lol Ideal and the Real - Maruki's theme. Very soothing, as it should be. Used to listen to it a lot during night drives home after getting off from double shifts.

BTW while I ofc still advise pursuing Confidants as best ya can, I did wanna let ya'll know I'd be more than eager to grab the cutscenes for whichever ones ya'll end up missing (since it's rather unlikely you'll max all of them out as first timers) in case you wanted to watch them after we're done here. Just throw me whatever ranks you have them at when we're nearing the end (if ya'll are interested in the idea)

Gameplay Tips * (24:24) This gym opens up later and will allow you to increase HP "and" SP, unlike with home training. But "like" with home training, these stat increases and the time it takes to invest in them really ain't worth it. Honestly the only time I'd suggest visiting it is just for a particular character interaction that I'll get into later. * Reiterating on making ranking up with Maruki a priority throughout the whole journey. Not only is it required to see P5R's new story segments for yourself, but his Confidant is also the one that will raise max SP as well as help you with combat oriented abilities. * As you've seen with Madarame's Palace, some Palaces will require you to leave early due to an obstruction caused by something in the real world. Take this as another reason not to take more time securing an infiltration route than what is necessary. * Palace security measures can be handled the same way by sprinting through them (holding R2) as they would be by pressing X to dodge them manually. One example being the infrared lasers in Madarame's Palace. Just a small tip for accessibility.

Rest in peace Billy Kametz the VA for Dr Maruki who by far is my favourite 'Adult' plus more in Persona 5 Royal!

Here comes Maruki! My favorite male character in this game. Oh idk who told you before that you need to visit him often and I'm glad you know that early. There are 2 specific confidants that you need to reach a specific level so that you can get the storyline exclusive for Royal version

Matt Mercer is here, yet again. (he's Yusuke's VA)

JT

the anti-shonen anime feeling of feeling deflated after watching someone train so much (ik the advice about it came in after this was recorded I'm just fucking around lol)

JT

oh lord the tracksuits lol

Yusuke Kitagawa Setting aside his personality, Yusuke is designed to look orderly on the outside. I had originally planned him to have long hair, but I eventually settled on the current design. He was always going to be an artist, but at the beginning, he was wearing a bolo tie and looked more like an art teacher! If you draw Yusuke the regular way, he looks too handsome, so I try to add something to demonstrate his perverted nature. The pose he's got here already looks a little perverted. I have a lot of opportunities to draw the protagonist, so sometimes I draw him standing in a pose. I always take care to make the protagonist look cool, while Yusuke looks a little creepy. I want to emphasize the fact this isn't because have anything against Yusuke! His character is just a little flat if I draw him as a regular pretty boy. Well-known models have bone structures that are suited for modeling: they might have unique bone structures that would surprise you if they appeared in front of you. I wanted to incorporate that kind of clear-cut, model-like bone structure into Yusuke's design by giving him a defined T-zone and a long, straight nose. The keys on Yusuke's belt are for a locker filled with paraphernalia that are too important to show to anyone. I felt that an artist or creator would hide the objects that were truly dear to him. The patch on the breast of his shirt is a black lily insignia. Black lilies symbolize a curse or the act of revenge. It's a sort of meta- clue about Yusuke's role in the story.

Great to see the series progressing keep at it. If you want a quick lil cheat sheet I suggest getting the app PR5 Guide it has all the test answers, confidants, and personas.

Registering a persona doesn’t cost you any money. It’s buying them that costs money. Every time your persona levels up or learns a new skill, you do. You always wanna go back to the velvet room and register all personas. If a situation comes up, where you discard one of your personas or you swap them out with another persona and you try to get that persona back it’ll be weaker than when you initially had it and it won’t have the ability that that persona learned when you had it before so registering is sort of like saving the game except it’s for that specific persona. It’s best to just register all of them at once so you don’t have to think about it too much

Rotom

I wouldn’t say every time they level up, but definitely every time you drop by the velvet room

MB2k

Well, of course I’m not saying go to the Velvet Room every single time you level up, but once you have progressed to a certain level through the dungeon, and by extension, you have leveled up a good amount of your persona. When you’re ready to leave for the real world go to the Velvet Room and register them.

Things are getting a bit more complicated now yeah? Well don't worry! it's only level 2 >:) Have had to catch up on the recent streams, have myself begun my first playthrough of Persona 3 Reload not too long ago, so I might not comment as often. Great to see you guys getting more used to fusing personas, getting more familiar with the ins and outs of the velvet room will take you guys very far in this game. A tip is to fuse personas that are as versitile as possible; so you can identify as well as hit specific weaknessess in enemies. However Single focus personas are also viable, make them strong with one element, cover up whatever weaknessess it has, and up its stats as far as you can, plus whatever extra stuff you guys want to add for more flavor. that is persona making 101. How you go about doing this is up to you as the player to identify the best way. Me? I followed a guide set by another and just squeezed in whatever abilities I liked. It's alot like training up a pokemon in this regard. Good luck!

K Kasher

Those big guys silver guys are a strong enemy that’s annoying without the right element. you have the right idea about putting him to sleep but I most definitely suggest collecting or crafting a persona with a Atomic ability which are also found in this palace it will make fights with him way way easier

Rotom

The kamoshida comparison you guys talked on a bit is a really interesting one. The first arc of p5 is great, there's no doubt about that. Kamoshida is horrible and you want to take him down bad. It's an opening that hooks you fast, but it comes with a cost. Kamoshida is SO bad that you're left wondering HOW does it get worse? and then they answer that with madarame by saying.... it doesn't. At least not right now. There's a lot of amazing arcs in this game and I won't spoil anything about them, but they went so extreme with Kamoshida that it can really leave some parts of the game, especially what happens right after, living in his shadow. P5X meanwhile hits the inverse of this. The first arc in P5X is bad. It's not painful and my god is it not boring, but it's.... to put it simply it's a funny B movie. You've got a guy running around yelling about how he's gonna push people! Then laughing maniacally and declaring that the "subway is mine for the slammin'!" before teleporting away. It's incredibly stupid, but in a very fun way. A lot of people will give X a shot and see that compared to the heavy hitter that is Kamoshida and think the story is terrible. That's not it though. X very clearly gets better with every arc. They start small so that they can build up and up. We're only on arc 4 in america, China is on 6, but arc 3 is on par with the top 3 arcs in persona 5. Arc 4 might be my favorite arc in the ENTIRE series. And I've heard nothing but good about 5 and 6, but I refuse to look into them because I want to avoid spoilers. It raises an interesting question of what approach is better. Starting extremely strong at the cost of potentially weakening later parts of the game, or starting weaker so that you can build up and truly make things bigger and better every time to make sure that intrigue and excitement builds and builds without any roadblocks. Personally I prefer the latter, but I get why P5 went with Kamoshida.
