2026-10-29 22:00 Madarame He isn't the kind of stoic artist who constantly tries to push his medium forward, the kind who doesn't appear much in the media. Rather, he's the type of quasi-celebrity who shows up on TV all the time, enough that viewers end up wondering, "What is this guy's actual job?" So, instead of designing him as an artist, we tried to make him the kind of character who sells himself on his personality. I's part of his gimmick that he wears those clothes and has that hairstyle, all to lend appeal to his image as an "artist." Overall, we tried to produce a shady-looking character with that sort of vibe. The team designer went all-out when designing Shadow Madarame, so that's why he ended up looking the way he does!

Black Mask?! Who could it be? Guess you have to continue to find out! Also don't forget visit Dr. Maruki, if he messages you i would advise completing his requests soon! I noticed you had one of his messages on hold. Same thing with another important character in the game.

There are multiple different status effects on characters, and they work both ways. When you hit an opponent with Sleep, it stops them from attacking until they get hit or wake up but it also heals them a bit and they regain SP. The same is said if you or your party is hit with Sleep. Brainwash makes whoever is hit with it attack their own team and heal the enemies or even give out Items to opponents. The elements are pretty much what you would expect to happen to someone who is hit with it. But some of them can be transferred if you do a melee attack. So if you hit someone who is on fire you may get burned. If you hit someone who is electrocuted you get shocked etc. If you want to cure this either use the proper persona who has a healing or cure spell. Or use the items in your inventory.

Another important detail I forgot to add. When you use a persona the one you currently have selected and use one of their abilities you share that persona's strengths and weaknesses. If you have a weakness to one shadow's ability just switch personas. Only Joker can do this but you can make a persona that is immune to pretty much everything and you can boost your team and make them immune or at least highly resistance to their native weaknesses

The beginning of this vid caught off guard I died laughing XD

Oh, can't remember if it got mentioned the last time you guys did Home Shopping Network, but the Gift Sets it offers for non-battle items are for confidants! They help progress your connection a lot faster if given to the right person! And speaking of sins, check out the middle name of the Palace Bosses when you're fighting them! It's the name of their Shadow selves :) Kamoshida's was Asmodeus, Madarame's was Azazel :O

Apollo

More like Kawamommy

I hope you guys aren’t minding the reading when do confidants, good news is if you like this enough to play 3 reload or 4 revival, both will have every social link/event voiced!

Chris Collier

Also be aware that as your links with female characters progress, you will be given romantic/flirty options. This is all well and good, but be careful when you get to links 8-10. Those links are where you lock in any desired romance, and you CAN romance more than one character if you choose to. The game will prompt you before the option to say anything that might lock you in to someone, but you should be aware if you wanna romance anyone

Chris Collier

I’m curious on your thoughts on the gameplay style thus far. The trio of social link-dungeon crawling-stat building. Ifs part of why I like persona so much, there’s nothing you can do that won’t help you some way. Washing armor in the laundry, drinking coffee for social stats or SP, talking with friends for perks/passives/stronger personas. It’s unique compared to what you’ve played before, what do you think?

I'm so happy to see you guys getting more comfortable with the game, as ai previously commented its very l hand holdy but not a bad thing its helps especially when you have to juggle your actual life. The Becky reveal is probably one of the funniest and best twists in my opinion I personally could not stop laughing and even now gets a chuckle out of me. Loving how you both read lines and get a little acting there very fun. I cannot wait to see part 10 and thank you so much for sharing your reactions

Apollo

I keep having this one intrusive thought of suggesting a cursed Persona 5 cosplay for the Death Battle betting, with Bethany as Ann and Ken as Morgana.

Rotom

I've seen some people in these comments doing writeups about stuff like the characters or the music and that's awesome! One thing I haven't seen though is the boss fights so I guess I'll take up that role. I didn't say anything with kamoshida as that fight remained mostly the same outside of the visual of adding shiho and mishima, but from this point on things get a bit more interesting. Pretty much every boss here has 3 versions. The original fight from persona 5, the altered fight from Persona 5 Royal, and the P5X fight. Technically the P5X fight isn't the same character it's.... a whole really interesting plot thread that I won't talk on here, but all you need to know is that they're fights heavily based on the bosses from 5/R Starting with the original persona 5. The fight begins mostly the same as it does here, though he can't use the black paint attack. It's the same setup of having to kill all 4 parts before they revive, each with different elements that will heal them. Once you knock them down though it gets pretty different. In the original game there was no elemental phase. Instead the real madarame would appear and you would get 2 turns to deal as much damage to him as you can, he only has a very weak attack skill so you're not in any danger while doing this. After 2 turns pass he will turn back into the painting form and you'll have to do the cycle again. However this time he WILL have the black paint attack. Aside from that everything remains the same as the first round. You knock them all down again, he appears, you deal as much damage as you can. Damage dealt during his first appearance carries over here. Ideally you'll finish him off here, but if not the cycle begins again and this is where Morgana finally prompts you to steal the paint. You got this prompt, though didn't actually get to go through with it. If you do it then all parts of the face will become weak to everything letting you knock it down instantly. This will continue until you finally kill him. The P5X variant of the fight is a bit more interesting. It has the same general setup with the eyes and nose having different elements that heal them, but the mouth is fully vulnerable and won't heal from anything. The focus of the fight is also the mouth. There's no round 2, no cycle, once you kill the mouth you win. Of course this also means the parts have a fair bit more health. In the 5/R fights the eyes can buff, the nose attacks, and the mouth has a physical attack. In X it's a bit different. One eye keeps the buffing, the other eye gets the attack skills from the nose, the nose gets a weak AoE, and the mouth... well that's where the fight gets interesting. So every time an eye takes a turn it will mark 2 party members, 2 eyes means 4 marks. Whenever the mouth takes a turn it will deal HEAVY damage to anyone that is marked. If someone is marked twice they will need to defend, if they're marked 3 times they're doomed if the mouth gets to attack. The only way to remove marks is to kill the eye that placed them. If the eyes are dead and no one gets marked the mouth can only do a very weak party attack. So the strategy seems clear, knock out the eyes and focus the mouth, but that's where the nose comes in. The nose on its own is weak, it's not really a threat like the eyes, HOWEVER if the nose is alive the mouth will take 80% less damage. So if you want to deal decent damage that nose has to go. Of course the reviving remains though so you have to walk this rope of managing the other parts while trying to focus the mouth to get it down asap. The P5 fight gave me hell the first time I played it, mostly due to inexperience, but overall I wouldn't say it's a particularly crazy fight. This is one of the instances where I do think the changes in P5R are just a full on improvement and end up making it the best version of the fight. It keeps the same general idea, but also really pushes for you to make sure you've learned baton passes which will be important for harder fights. The P5X version is a cool twist on the setup, and I do like the strategy that goes into it, but it can turn into a bit of a chip battle so, as much as I enjoy some of the stuff it does, I do think X is probably the worst version of the fight.
