What I've learned about life: everyone has parts of themselves they're not proud of, but nothing good comes from outright denying they exist. "Loving yourself" is hard to do when you're aware of your flaws. I think the goal should be "find peace with yourself". To understand who you are and what your shortcomings are. It's good to try and improve yourself, but find a healthy amount of self-forgiveness so you don't live your life hating yourself.
