Hey guys,

It's Jackson here. I wanted to drop a thought here to get some feedback from people, the audience, about the show! You can talk about anything you want and share any thoughts you have about the show but, in particular, I'm interested in;

The Show Format (how it's all laid out, how we explore the information)

The Hosts

The Latest Episodes

Your Enjoyment (Or Lack There-of) Of The Series

Where You'd Like The Show To Improve

How We Can Better Engage The Audience

Topics

Guests

Presentation

Really want to hear from you guys! I appreciate the support of the show and really just want to make the show the best that it can be for you guys. Don't be afraid of sharing critical feedback, as well, if you're a lapsed viewer!

Thanks,Jackson

Will there be a new host on the red thread?

Angel

Uh idk

Sinartarus

Just keep up the good work jackson

Koji Karasake

Two Aussies in one red thread? Yes

wilbert

it’s great i miss caleb jackson wendigoon episodes

April Horn

Really enjoying the current state of red thread, any plans for another guest for upcoming episodes?

Vengfulfoil

I think less American based topics would be cool, but I understand if the research is harder.

Paolo De Leon

Andrew would work as the third host IMO, hes already pretty good telling stories in his hughbees channel

Carl

I’m sure it’s already been discussed but a red thread/creep cast crossover would be awesome, maybe with a creepy unsolved mystery or actually a fictional story about a mystery or something in that nature where the ideas of both podcasts are combined. It may be tougher to pull off in that regard but it would make some seriously good content !

CaptianMex1C0

Have you ever considered doing episodes centered around shorter topics and running through multiple in one episode? For example the bronze age collapse is interesting (Every Human civilization collapsed at the same time, regressing us multiple centuries in technology, and all mentioned "the Sea people" attacking) but I don't think its enough for an entire episode.

Family Dollar

My cat enjoys the show, so it's fine

Addam Hall

All the hosts we’ve had so far have been a treat. If anything, I’d like to see some more of your cryptid episodes if those are in the cards.

Toe Shovel

I think Taylor from PKA podcast would be a great host for the show, wendigoon knows Taylor pretty good he is funny and very much into this kind of stuff it would also reach that large audience

Abhimanyu Meena

Loved the Jordy episode and I would love a episode with someordinarygamer

DoopenBlorp

really enjoy the show, jordies was a great guest, would love to see him accompany the show more. i would like to see the current format continue for a while until you have a consistent 3rd host, and then look at format changes if something isn’t working

zImFoX

Really enjoy the format. Im kinda scared that wendigoon is gonna leave he seems to be more invested into creep cast since Charlie left. The fact that ompa left is also concerning. It just feels really unstable currently.

Connor Arrington

Yo be honest I enjoy how the show is laid out. I never had any complaints with how it is. Not to throw shade but there are some comments where some people say multiple things in one episode. I think that’s a little much for you guys, and would leave a lot to be desired with the community. I think the way it is is perfectly fine. I mean if it ain’t broke don’t fix it type deal. Just sad to hear Caleb is dipping out. Loved bro

Joeballsaque

I have three potential suggestions about a new host, firstly and mostly, Kiera, your fiance, she has a good voice and is already the one doing all the research so if she'd like to be in the show I say she's a great fit. You guys bounced off each other really well in the episode she was on. Secondly, FriendlyJordies, would be cool seeing the dynamic go from 2 Americans and one Aussie to reversed and he's always a treat to listen to. Thirdly, don't have a permanent third host just replace them with another guestevery 25 episodes to keep in tradition lol. Otherwise the show is great, can't wait to have it back full-time. Your hard work shows, Jackson, and we all appreciate you.

jake

The last episode feels pretty weird to do without wendigoon bc he has a very passionate video about this. The show in general I like the core of you two but it just hasn't felt right since Charlie left

Erik Schwarz

Just keep wendigoon on man! I hope he has time for red threat in the future! He just fits with the conspiracy and cryptid stuff! Also more cryptid episodes pls. Also get Hunter on. Don't make me say it.

Ayden Ulery

Yeah Caleb is moving on from the show so they’re looking for somebody else

Ayden Ulery

Any youtuber who is known for similar historical breakdown content would fit the mold very well I think

AmuronDay

Not too familiar with the latest episodes as I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet but I like the casual format with a chill atmosphere, I much prefer the true crime or mystery focused episodes as opposed to the cryptid episodes. Not to say the cryptid episodes are bad but the true crime or mystery episodes are more engaging for me

Joe

Is wendigoon leaving?

Sky Kahu

The biggest thing that drove me away was caleb, i have zero hard feelings toward him it was just too sharp of a transition for me. now it feels less coordinated and slow. less genuine interest with the topic at hand. the yen robbery was great because you two did a great job making the topic funny, not just a bunch of other unrelated jokes. I wont lie the 2.5 hosts when we had charlie was the perfect format for me.

theofficialpodcast

Thanks for the feedback! Have you listened to the most recent episode by any chance? -J

manxie

I really liked friendlyjordies in this last episode. Dunno if it would be feasible for him to be the new guest but he's got my vote :)

Sky Kahu

lol you got me there, no I listen to the first 30ish episodes on repeat as of late. Sounds like im missing out now though

Carl

I’m pretty sure he’s expressed not wanting to do too many podcasts but it would be great, any more content from Andrew is a plus to me

Rider bike

Definitely get Guest like horror tubers: blameitonjorge/barely sociable/nexpo. Do more Online mysteries all these conspiracies EP! have been so boring imo. Ur cicada video was the best. Some podcasts that have a similar vibe is Netlore & DLUTI covering internet topics just so interesting to listen. Topics I would love to see is definitely “LakeCity Quiet Pills”you will love that rabbit hole for some reason r/jailbait is brought up??

Daddy Long Legs

I think the show is pretty solid as is. As time goes on, it will evolve naturally, that's what happens with every podcast and Red Thread is relatively new so im interested in seeing how it grows in the future. I think InsomniaTV would be a fantastic 3rd host; his content is pretty similar and is a goldmine of unsolved mysteries for you to cover in the future.

Jeff Jeffrey Jefferson

No hard feelings towards Caleb, but I stopped listening, when Charlie left. Not necessarily because I am a particular fan of Charlie, but you three had such a fun dynamic, especially with the pop culture reference running gag. The conversations with Caleb feel way more stilted and forced. Once again, he's a nice dude but he doesn't fit the format.

Cesartloz

I’m the opposite. I started listening more once he left

Jamie Hind

Got to admit, it’s my third favourite show after CS and OP but I do still enjoy it. Can’t help the rotating door of hosts if they leave. I think a three person format works though. Is there any world where there’s a rotating cast so let’s say you and Isaiah are permanent. And then maybe there’s Andrew for an episode, if he has time Caleb once in a while when you can book him, and then Friendly Geordies? He was good. Not forgetting Kaya of course. I don’t know if constant guests are the way to go given the shows format. You might wind up with a guest who has little to no knowledge of the subject, but loads of knowledge on another. Logistically sounds like a nightmare to book and write shows. I say do what you can with two in the meantime, it would be nice to have Oompaville one more time. But then take time looking for a third host. Someone who isn’t super busy like Caleb or Charlie. As for the content, it’s good. I like conspiracy ones the most. Cryptid ones I find extremely boring because throughout the entire episode my brain is going “Well, it’s not real, these are ghost stories” I’m a bit squeamish too when it comes to cold cases but that’s a me problem. But cults, conspiracies, other mysteries. I’m all for it.

EliseR

I really like the show. I loved when Kiera came on the show and I hope she returns. I’m not a fan of some of the weird background noise in the episodes it gets really distracting.

Caleb P.

While I enjoy Red Thread, I much prefer two consistent hosts and maybe a rotating guest slot. You and Wendi have such great chemistry and I like hearing the American vs Australian perspectives

TYRONIUS

Yeah Caleb seems more enthusiastic about the content usually

Sky Kahu

ok reading this thread i realize how much ive missed fuck

Jacobi Stein

Personally I enjoy the show. I think sometimes the tangents take over a little too much but other than that I enjoy the blend of comedy with these serious topics to help with the depressing nature of some of these topics. I’m a Caleb enjoyer as well and think he’s a great addition to the crew. I’m not a big fan of cryptids and much prefer the real life mystery topics however I listen to all the episodes regardless. Overall great show boys keep it up can’t wait for the next one!

Lucas Kumangai

Shows really good. And while I love the banter between the boys. When it was just you and Kiera it was probably the best it’s ever been.

Fred Korts

I'd love it if the episodes were an hour max. That way I can catch up to any backlog and you guys could split larger episodes into parts and generate more content for the audience and a breather for yourselves.

Connor

no hate but personally I feel it veers to far off topic. I'm looking for a show solely focused on the stuff you discuss. that's just me though, keep up the good work otherwise.

Soüp

I enjoy when the videos are longer but it seems like you guys go off topic abit too much. Being off topic isn't a bad thing and can be fun or even funny but also you guys seem to go off topic abit too much in your episodes if you could try to focus more on the actual topics sometimes that would be awesome

DEWEY

I really enjoy the show the way it is. I like the host's and all the side tangents. Thank you

bigwilly

Everything's pretty much perfect. I'd love to see more guests like meat canyon possibly but I enjoy that the show isn't overly serious and kinda goofy with room for Isiah and oompa to have usa chants or poke fun at you about KFC. Over all the show has made my work life a bit better along with the official podcast and criminally stupid and really helped me through a rough spot in my career so I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. Though I will say the Boeing episodes are real fun to listen to while I assemble Boeing engines

mannequin

agree, a bit of comedy is needed for it to not feel like being lectured, but when its been 10+ minutes spent away from the topic, that should be cut. maybe they should make a format thats just the information and side info about the topic, and then another version where it’s the whole episode with the veer offs

Wootman

more jordies , all i have to say , but very happy with the show even with the host being all over the place

Alex Kostiuk

I’d love too see Andrew or Kaya as a guest in an ep

Kaden Sanders

First, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE 1 HOUR MAX COMMENTS, the long form episodes are by far some of the best. Overall though ive listened to every episode and i think the most interesting topics are cults and true crime, as much as I love cryptids theres so little info on them that the episodes seem a little forced. When it comes to hosts i prefered jackson isaiah and charlie, obviously not happening again but really anybody that supplements jackson and isaiah is good i didnt vet the caleb hate people probably just didnt like how it was different. Finally i think guests would be good but as a an addition to a 3 member podcast, not taking the 3rd slot.

Cheesepuff

I would like to see random guests every week personally but I don’t know how obtainable that would be. I’m worried the show won’t be around for much longer if hosts keep coming and going. Especially if Isaiah leaves next

Brobagate

I don’t hate Red Thread in its recent episodes (pre break). However I think the podcast peaked around episode 2. You guys had room to speculate and joke around but you also stayed on topic and kept relevant about the case. It was informative and fun. At least this is my opinion. I think the new host should be someone who won’t get as easily distracted as Kaleb did. One of the flaws of his episodes was Isaiah and him kind of just joking around on their own the entire time and we would lose track of the topic. The cube thing was funny but completely irrelevant to the topic. I click on the episode wanting to learn more about the topic. I think the cult episodes were starting to feel really samey. You guys were even pointing out how similar all of them are where I think you should’ve focused on the differences. I understand why you did it but these episodes got really repetitive with you repeating how serious this subject matter was like I forgot. I know this last piece has its reasoning but just a little annoying. The cryptid episodes were getting old but I don’t think they have to be. There was more speculation early on in the podcast about the cryptids that I found interesting. As an American I only really know of the big cryptids over here but it could be interesting and revitalize this genre of episodes if you were to use more international cryptids.

Kidtruck91

So one of the issues I've had is that the show has alot of crossover with Wendigoons normal content, but less able to go in depth. This isn't a deal breaker or even that big of an issue, just one I've noticed. The episodes that are more focused around true crime or serial killers really hold my attention.

Marshall

I think you guys should do the show naked that would be so funny haha

Jon-Michael Farrah

Love the show. I think some clarity of whether its a rotating host situation or just a static one is needed. The rotating/guest hosts could work really well. I just think people were used to the usual dynamic and the switchup of hosts was kinda jarring.

The Boi

Let me be the third guest pls I’m funny and insightful and I can fit my fist in my mouth

Garf

If that happens, I’m pretty much done with the red thread.

Owen

I love the show I think Jordy would be a good host. I also think Kaya would be funny to have on for an episode. I also wondered if you guys could bring back some older guests like I Hate Everything on this show but especially on the Official Podcast. I didn’t listen from the start but have been for like 4 years and going back to those episodes have been some of my favorites. Keep up the great work Jackson!

Ritty6

Charlie was pretty much just the comic relief that’s just kind of there. Hard to defend him when he was the reason we got the Kendrick vs drake episode.

Dallas Miller

Boogie for 3rd host he himself is a cryptid. The Waco Episode is still my personal favorite. If kaya has any interest I'd love to see him as the 3rd host. His distrust/distaste of the government would lead to, what I'd imagine being, a very entertaining rant everytime a conspiracy has to do with the government.

Ritty6

Honestly I think the long episodes are best because those are the ones you all tend to enjoy the most. I do think the 2 100% constants must be you and wendigoon. I don’t think you should have more than 3 permanent hosts. Getting a 3rd good one that meshes well with both of you is good. I loved Caleb. I’m not sure how much you knew or talked to Caleb before the show, but I could see how sometimes him and Wendigoon could get in a revolving door of odd stuff. However I’m sad he’s gone. With guests, I think the only times you should have them are if they are a specific horror/conspiracy online personality, or Kaya/Andrew for the official branding. Red thread is up there with creep cast for my favorites so keep up the good work.

Marshall

thats not really more content though? thats just the same content drip fed to us isn’t it? not trying to be rude or snarky or anything sorry if it comes across like that

Storm Thorgood

Not necessarily a thought, but this podcast has inspired me to write a cryptid found footage film and I am shooting it this coming up weekend. Could I possibly send the outline to y'all and get some thoughts? Would definitely like to send the final project as well once it is completed

April

it might be cool to have like a rotating pool of people for the third host/guest. it would be easier for them in terms of commitment and it would keep us viewers on our toes.

Jesse Hoffman

The only criticism I have is, longer episodes! I loved having 2+ hour long red threads to listen to (since I listen at work). Also giving more time to dig deep into the content but still be able to joke around and have side bits

Garf

B-tier Brandon would be funny as a guest. The Fat electrician, Lore Lodge lads. Honestly, I think Kaya* is perfect He stays on topic, he’s informative, he has room to joke still. Criminally stupid is great, and I think if he wants to, my full vote would be Kaya. A lot of us here listen to CS and OP. So, Kaya is a familiar voice.

Jesse Hoffman

Also, kaya and Andrew would be fun to have on red thread (if they have the time/interest). As far as content, I really enjoy the conspiracies/unsolved mysteries

Marshall

J/W/Caleb is definitely my favourite dynamic since the first 10 eps. don’t want to sound rude but I feel like the last episodes I thoroughly enjoyed were like The Black Dhalia and JFK etc. I also feel like older episodes used to feel a little bit more thorough and less script-ready if that makes sense? idk not trying to be rude just honest thoughts. Love the show 😁

Harry Crossman

I like Red Thread but I think it suffers the most of the shows from being made or broken from its source story so it shines the most during those moments where things get a little off topic like the latest episode and the KFC conversation from a while back. I think striking the right balance between going off on weird tangents about almost unrelated topics, but still covering the source material would be my ideal for the show. Obviously this is a very difficult thing to get right, but I think that largely the audience is here for the personality of yourself Jackson as well as the other hosts whilst the story/document itself is just a fun method of delivering that, otherwise we'd all just be watching documentaries on the topics. Anyways love the show overall, keep up the great work Jackson 😁

theofficialpodcast

No, you're totally fine! What do you mean by script ready, though? -J

SmileyFaceGuy

Should have opened the MLK episode with a horror story about how MLKs soul gets trapped in that shitty MLK Fortnite map

Marshall

Like sometimes its a bit like you guys just read your part of script and then move on to the next part of it without adding too much extra. tbh you guys do still kind of go on tangents and make jokes and such but i do feel like previously you guys provoked more discussion about the topic with each other. (which to be fair you’ve always generally been the instigator for)

chris ruiz

would love some guests on the show, Maybe those with more knowledge on the actual topic of the episode or just some random who’s interested in learned about the topic.

BEEP

Story openings were a nice touch, you should keep them and make sure to give them some creative effort. Format has gone a bit stale since you stopped curating the information yourself. Before it felt like you telling your friends what you discovered, and lately it has felt like you are all just reading passages of a book. I know you're stretched thin, but resolving that would help a lot. Pick subjects you all have opinions or some knowledge of, it makes the banter more interesting. Personally, I find your cult and true crime episodes the most interesting. You need at least three hosts, make sure the chemistry is there. Guests would be great, bring in relevant people to the subject matter, or other creators to have done deep dives on the subject. I watch the show because I enjoy the banter, but also to learn something. Its a lot more interesting to learn from someone who knows the subject and has opinions than someone just reading the textbook at you.

Gamer_HGH

Show feels too scripted, maybe go off points to have more conversations rather than just reading a article

BEEP

Personally I feel like thats partly their obvious chemistry as well as Kiera's depth of knowledge on the subject. It made it feel less scripted while staying in orbit of the core material.

SugmaNard

I like the show where it is. If you need to add another host please don't choose anyone with a large loud personality. Purely an example I think meat canyon would be a really bad idea, it would be too distracting from the source material. Someone like wendigoon was the best option ever for red thread because he's really calm and good at locking in on information and stories.

SugmaNard

Also I don't mind slight derails but sometimes you guys genuinely don't talk about the topic for like periods of 20 minutes. I don't really understand how anyone can like that. You guys have a talking podcast already I do think red thread should be mostly about the topic at hand. No 20 minutes taking about defining conspiracies lmao.

James Becker

I think it shows when you guys are enjoying a topic, and when your not. I think the podcast is best when every host is engaged

SugmaNard

I agree hard. The early episodes felt more in depth and creepy. The latest ones even creepy ones like the black dahlia ended up zero percent creepy. All just kinda informative and to the point. Red thread thrives with a sense of mystery

SugmaNard

God no what the fuck is peoples obsession with meat canyon?!?! We already had caleb

SugmaNard

The USA chants singlehandedly ruined the show!

bigwilly

I like meat canyon and Isiah dynamic . And the USA chants make me chuckle

SugmaNard

Yeah just split the videos in two watching experiences bro that's quite literally just asking for less content not more

Local Degenerate

I disagree personally. The best part of these episodes are the conversations had by the hosts. The Cube was one of the best parts of that episode, and I laughed a shit ton. Yes it is a show about conspiracies or cryptids However if I truly cared about only that, I wouldn't be watching the Red Thread. I always pictured Red Thread as like showing something to your buddies and shooting the shit about it and funny off-topic conversations that come from it. The pre-caleb episodes were good, but I actually really had lots of more fun with Caleb, because he was more goofy and charismatic. When things got really depressing, you could always count on him to bring some light in. I like being informed but I ain't here for that. I'm here to listen to a couple of friends shoot the shit and talk about the mysterious or disturbing over the campfire sort of feel. That's my opinion

SugmaNard

He just doesn't stop joking it gets old

SugmaNard

Also don't feel the need to have a third person everytime. It was absolutely fine just jackson and goony. Jackson and jordies works fine too

SugmaNard

2nd this chill vibe Jackson please bring the chill vibe of red thread back Jackson I'm begging you

SugmaNard

If you want a conversation based show without information I present you the official podcast. The red thread being focused on the topic should really be a given. In my opinion

Dead Moonlyte

Tbh I love the show how it is, id love if you could maybe get Charlie on as a guest for an episode sometime, other than that I genuinely love the show and wanna see you bois keep goin

Daniel Geffers

It would be cool if you made the episodes longer, I listen to it at work and I’ve been through all the official podcasts and I’m running out of content to listen to 💔💔

JurassicYeti

More episodes about cryptids and bring back Charlie

Connor

I agree, I personally perfer no script. just people discussing well researched topics with only some points to keep then on track.

Ethan Quin

It’s great as is. I love the format and I love all the tangents. You don’t necessarily need a third permanent host but I think it would be cool for you and Isaiah to bring on a guest every once in a while. Meatcanyon would be at the top of my list, I think he would be a great fit.

queso blanco

The Panama Papers would be an interesting episode if you are okay with getting carbombed.

Roshlan

Hello Jackson! Absolutely love the work you and the others put in! Things I'd like to see related to red thread, - Longer episodes (atleast 90 minutes) helps build immersion and are just more fun than an hour long episode. - Ocassionally having guests on, 3 hosts + a guest. - preferably enable the Patreon only stuff for YouTube members aswell -Maybe start a huge project and try to cover topics about a crime/conspiracy iceberg from start to end like Isaiah did on his channel a couple years ago. - this might not be a good idea but other than the usual serious topics and cryptids, I'd like to see stuff similar to the cube episode where it's cases of mass hysteria about games or the like. Once again, thanks for the content and the effort you and your group out into all of this!

Dave Matthews

My only issue with the podcast is that for the conspiracy episodes, they seem to lack a lot in the conspiracy department. Specifically for MLK and JFK, there were major points that were missed that majorly supported the government assassination conspiracy part of it. There may have been other episodes that did that too but jfk and mlk were two conspiracies I already knew a lot about, so I noticed points missed. Other than that, loved Jordy as a host and I hope he can come back for more!

Dreccan

I think this most recent episode wasn't as good. Not because FJ isn't a good host, but because without an American co host, it's so weird to hear you guys talk about American events and politics as if it's a distant land you know nothing about. I enjoy when Wendigoon chips in with places, people and events he has knowledge or experience with, but anyone can just speculate and banter for 2 hours about random crap that will never effect them. If you're going to continue discussing American events, it just feels so much more natural to have someone who's entrenched in the culture and life to speak on things. A 3rd host who isn't from America OR Australia would be nice, if you're keeping on Wendigoon Also to anyone who doesn't know FJ before this, all you learn is that he had his phone tapped and house burned down. You guys didn't introduce his content or character at all

Toasstt

I’ve always been a fan on longer episodes

ChimiChaney

Loved Jordy honestly wouldn’t mind him as a regular if the mic was better while reading lol. As long as the enthusiasm doesn’t die off I’ll always be a happy listener.

skallywag

I really like the more free flow form of content with tangents and discussion, instead of more heavily scripted and linear. Of course thats just my opinion. Also would love to see Meat Canyon as a quest or a host.

Ethan Kelly

I think last episode was really lacking in Australia slander

Jamie Lipsit

I like the haunted places .. but I love seeing all the guys together. You guys from tasting restaurants that have 1 ⭐️ reviews .. to funny content such as camping and Mario party . I know Eddy is expecting a baby soon .. but even try not to laugh was very funny .. I dunno if this helps at all .. but I thought I would give what I like to see

Simon Hughes

The intros absolutely have to come back, every time I open a red thread episode I wanna feel like I'm transported, weather that's into the preys eyes, or into Jeffery Epstein, the intros really set the mood for this show with the mildly serious tone, and rule of 2 jokes sprinkled in for flavor

MilkMan248

Longer Episodes more free flowing convos don't try and jump right back into topics and also find a crew for the long game

Aaronnn

You guys should cover the death of George Reeves, the first superman, very interesting way he died

Taner Guldin

You guys should cover SCP-42069: The Cube That Kills You

theofficialpodcast

Curious about what we missed with MLK in particular! We try to be cognisant of including important details but it's impossible to research and include every single detail in a script / document in a week timespan (realistically 3 day period of research, writing and editing). If we include every single detail, as well, the episodes would simply be too long (both for entertainment and for post-production editing schedule). But, yeah, curious what we missed there! -J

TYRONIUS

MORE AMERICANS MORE FOOTBALL MORE FREEDOM WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO🦅🏈🎉💥💸💰💰🎉🇺🇸💸🏈🦅🎉🏈🦅💸🇺🇸💸💸🎉🏈👿🏈💥🇺🇸💸🏈🇺🇸💸🏈💥🇺🇸💥🏈💸🇺🇸🏈🇺🇸🇺🇸

Reneator

I watch the show a lot for the dynamic. The stories are usually just the framing that sets up the dynamic between the hosts, I enjoyed the dynamic between you, wendigoon and oompaville the most up to this point. Will this return, or did both depart from the show? Finding very diverse characters, that can build off of each other can be really challenging i imagine. Like Meatcanyon and Wendigoon works so well because they are in many aspects complete opposites, but can still talk about things with empathy with each other.

Jon Ron Topher

I feel as if letting the hosts read the script before the show would make it better at the end of the podcast specifically, because part of the comedy of the show’s end used to be inventing funny fake conspiracies about the topic. It also lets everyone be prepared for what they are talking about and allow them to draw other connections (the so called red threads) We aren’t necessarily looking for the hosts’ reaction to the story for the first time if they haven’t heard the story, just looking for the story to be told well, whether it be professionally and prepared, or humorously. Just let the hosts read the brief before recording and allow them time to maybe research some other points that maybe weren’t brought up in the briefing that could be annotated later.

Jae

PLEASE have Kaya on for at least one episode it would be the funniest shit in the world. Make it some conspiracy theory about turkey to entice him idk.

brett james

This show has lost so many hosts. I used to love it but it's just lost all consistency. Yall really gotta figure out if you want it to be a thing or not. If doing CS, RT and the official podcast is too much then kill red thread. Put your effort into less shows that will preform better. Because I'm sorry but your fiance and friends we've never heard of are not acceptable hosts.

Daniel G

Hey J-man and everyone up in the official space dropping a comment to say loving all the new content this transitions been bringing. The new host have been amazing as well jordiez is killing it and your fiance did amazing for her first time on! It's also super nostalgic having kaya and Andrew make rando apparences 🎬 cinema 🎥

Fire

“if doing CS, RT and OP is too much then kill your most popular show” ??? be serious

3rdSt

Less true crime stuff more aliens and cryptids. And take it seriously. Dont do goofy stuff do serious alien topics that have evidence

malibu

Maybe like even out the topics more, so like do a more grounded serious topic every other week, and in between do more whimsical topics like cryptids and aliens. I mostly just like listening to you guys talk rather than about anything in particular. You all have so much to add to the table each episode which I felt was kinda missing with Charlie.

Ben Elliott

bring jordies back as third host

Frung

Honestly I’ve had no issues with the show I’ve loved every episode even when hosts can’t make it you still make do and make great episodes to listen/watch I just want a consistent upload schedule and the intros back lmao I loved them so much

Declan Armstrong

I’d enjoy for you and wendigoon to stay as hosts and have frequent guests until you find someone that you both get along with and we enjoy.

Declan Armstrong

Would also love you guys to do some solved crimes that you haven’t heard of and try and guess who did it based on the evidence you read through and see if you’re correct at the end!

Zetlin

Terrible take

Zetlin

I think you should have me on as the third host, trust me I’m good for it

Ben Crawford

I absolutely adore this show as is! I love the good research juxtaposed with you guys reading the document with limited knowledge and discussing. Very fun show, always a highlight anytime a new episode come out! Guests could be fun if they're knowledgeable of a particular subject (ie a group interview type thing)

Patrick Kelly

When is the NJ Drone episode coming?

MilkTile

I lowkey miss when you guys would make red threads about fictional things, they tend to catch my interest more than real historical events, but that’s just my personal opinion

red-rocket

Honestly, I think the whole concept might be a bit of a mismatch. Conspiracy theories require a lot of research and script-writing to be covered in a meaningful way, but podcasts as a format thrive when the hosts are having a conversation instead of following a script. So Red Thread kinda feels like the worst of both both worlds- you don't get a natural podcast, but you also don't get the quality of a highly edited deep dive video.

Wicket

I like the cryptids and aliens.

Rhys

I would love to see you guys actually talking and discussing more. The research is well done and great for a guideline, but the best parts of the show are when you guys go on for a while without going back to the show notes. It would be very interesting to see you guys try to go through the information for maybe 20 minutes at the beginning of an episode, and spend the rest discussing it while referencing proof and the notes you know? Maybe have a part of the show notes that is a basic rundown that could be read by the hosts before the show (and available if a listener is unfamillier with the topic at hand), and then the rest of the episode and notes goes into more actual details and discussion than laying information out? I'm not sure. I also agree with others that the cryptids/aliens/absurd side of conspiracies suits the dynamic of the show better than true crime, specifically because they require less focus on the show notes and information itself. Especially in the last episode (which I enjoyed!) when you and jordies were talking about MLK, as an American it was difficult to sit through the actual MLK discussion of that episode and the best parts were the tangents you guys went on. I feel there is a lot that would've been added there if that topic was saved for a time when an American host who has learned a lot about that through their lifetime could be present. There are hundreds of informational and true-crime conspiracy style shows out there, this show is at its best when it's not trying to copy those other shows. You and Isaiah and anyone else you bring in having a discussion where you both learn and laugh is what the entertainment is here, and I feel like heavier topics like MLK also don't hit as hard for me because of the current political state of the world, you know? I feel a lot of us use these podcasts for entertainment and escapism during things like commutes, and I feel like cryptids serve that a lot better (especially with your dynamic) than true crime does. A more Black Dahlia/MLK/JFK style topic I think would take more research and preparation time than you guys are currently capable of. Those episodes would feel more interesting to me with at least 1/2 of the hosts doing their own research and knowing the basics; most people watching already do know the basics about the topics and are more interested in hearing your opinions about the nitty gritty details. I've been a supporter of the show for years and I really appreciate how much our feedback seems valued and heard. Thanks Jackson, keep it up because the shows you're making are great! P.S. if you ever need another researcher/writer/editor for the show notes, I would love to help you guys out lol

Rhys

I totally agree that MLK was not the best topic choice for an episode with no American host

Big Brain B

I feel like there are plenty of true crime podcasts out there that admittedly cover those topics in a more detailed albeit less comedic format. I really do love government conspiracies and cryptids and how you guys tackle them in such light hearted ways. Much love.

bbbbbbbbbbb

How are you going to do a 2 hour episode on MK Ultra and NOT talk about Operation Midnight Climax?

d r

Doug for permanent third host

Zach

I think it would be cool if you got Andrew from the Official Podcast

Ryan Bond

True I’d love to see Kya on too

person

Love the show and the channel! been listening daily for about 6 years now. Keep up the great work!

Kibbs 325

I like doug, but im not sure how he'd mesh with Isaiah as a host.

Kibbs 325

Which episodes have been on fictional topics?

Grelk

huh??

EmptyJuul

I think some deep dives into historic conspiracy theories or stories would be really cool. Like unexplained phenomena that you could discuss and come to your own conclusions.

BOB

Bring me papa meat

KushSmoker69

I'll reiterate everyone else. PAPA MEAT as a guest PLS 🙏🏽

kristina

Plsssss habe Friendly Jordies come backk xxx u too are neant for eachother

kristina

An idea with the audience is maybe set up discord or on patreon, announce what the next subjects episode gona be, then towards the end of the episode, read out any funny comments from patreons about the subject. Some ppl make the FUNNIEST COMMENTS

kristina

Topic: The Trump family from Australia and there weird psychotic road trip

kristina

Topic: A gang in the 1990s Japan called "A thousand faces" terrorised abd threatened the public and food companies then just disapeared

Shmubligong

Sadly i haven't been enjoying the as much lately. Ever since charlie left i felt like something has been missing from the main podcast. I feel like more guets would be great. Regarding red thread i have to say i dont get what most people are saying about caleb. I thought he included himself greatly into the conversation without switching the subject matter. Sadly i dont feel this wayabout friendly jordies. In my opinion he goes on big comedic political tangents without telling interesting stuff about the subject. I know this is a though call to make after one episode andi understand this topic getting sort of political. Im just a guy who doesn't like politics in general and i feel like it would be adding something wierd to have lots of political jokes. I know im phrasing it bluntly i dont accually mean it that harsh but i feel like you get my vibe. I really really really enjoyed the episode with your fiancé (congrats Jason by the way). In my personal dream she would join as a hist for red thread or be a reoccurring guest.

Mason Davis

I can completely understand it’s your guys’s show but my opinion the Cryptid episodes are just not as good not 100% sure but I’m sure they get less of views. I feel like what the audience likes more is historic real stories that have actually taken place when the game just covered an amazing piece of history on his YouTube channel cases like that is what I feel. The audience is interested in love the show. Keep it up.❤️

Mason Davis

when the game is supposed to be WENDIGOON

DelinoK

I saw some comments on how the host should read the show note before the episode and I am HIGHLY DISAGREE with it, I love the first reaction to the reading and find that whenever I know that the host already read the doc it feels like homework which I didn't and honestly don't want to do and it makes it more about the doc itself which is not what I want to see, let the flow of the conversation flow naturally and the doc as the conversation maker to it

Rusty Shackleford

Jackson, if Jordies does not become the permanent position as the third host, why not have the third host be Andrew and/or Kaya? If they're too busy, then I suppose you'll have to find someone else. Someone like me perhaps? Hmm? Definitely not a parasocial relationship at all...

Papa Grudge I

If Andrew’s not to busy I’d love to see him on the red thread as 3rd host

Ian

Same! He was great on the criminally stupid also! If he want to tho

cas.ko

I've still been enjoying the show and I dont think the quality of it has been affected by Charlie leaving (same with OP). I love the topics you guys cover but really my enjoyment just comes from y'all having fun with it. Since scheduling with the main hosts is difficult I would love more guest episodes (jordies was great and would honestly be perfect as a new host). My only caveat is that I do prefer at least 3 hosts since I think that's when the dynamic really shines. I would also like it if we had some medium to interact with the other hosts, something like a short patreon questions segment at the end of each episode. I think the community surrounding the shows is a strong point and it feels like a missed opportunity for wendigoon and the former hosts to not be present for these kinds of feedback threads, at least from my perspective it doesn't feel like they interact with the community much at all

Ryan

My favourite fictional episode was the 9/11 one

SugmaNard

I don't get the Doug glazing

Freddy Ruiz

Friendly Jordies would be a perfect 3rd host, honestly the chemistry between you two made the show amazing with just 2 hosts!!

Uva

Instead of a permanent 3rd host reoccurring guest like friendlyjordies or even mutahar people that jived well for the OP would be cool to see on the red thread also would love to see foreign cryptids covered

theofficialpodcast

Hey Cas, I love that idea for taking questions from Patreon and Membership Sites! Will definitely implement that! -J

theofficialpodcast

I think that probably tied to the fact that MLK was a very politics heavy topic in general given we're talking about the government assassinating a political opponent and the civil rights movement! -J

nathan witte

For the love of god, please add FriendlyJordies to the show

Michael Armstrong

Honestly man. Every guest you’ve ever brought to this series has been killer. But friendly Jordies is the one. Don’t lose him. Keep it up. Oh yeah and going back to a previous ep. I’m a diesel mechanic fixing heavy machinery and semi trucks. I’ve listened to every episode probably 3x and it carries me through my days. My worst days are when I don’t have my headphones lol. I’m sure others can attest

Rob

Great episode, best cohost so far

Korin

Red Thread deserves a third host.

SuperJButt

I liked the last episode I thought friendlyjordies was a great host and I would love to see him as the 3rd host. I also think Kira would have been a good pick since she writes the documents she would have extra insight plus I thought her episode was fun. I also think if Andrew isn't too busy he would be fun as the 3rd host since he have the best natural chemistry with Isaiah when his was on the OP plus I think we need another show with him in it since you and Kaya have CS.

Roman Achille

Jordies had a lot to offer in terms of commentary and I can't complain much... I think a return to seriousness is due for this podcast in particular, something I think we altogether lacked during the Caleb era. I think Wendigoon is the rock of this show because of how well-versed he is and how committed to every topic he appears to be. I don't know how Jordies would fare in the long term (I have very little qualms though), but as others have mentioned, Andrew as a permanent host would probably resonate really well. He's someone that's well acclimated to long-form content, and though he's often comedic with it, I think he shows a similar dedication to the topics he covers.

D N

You should cover Elliot Rodgers on Red Thread with Kaya as a special guest.

Finkmeiser

I enjoy the show, the research is extensive which i appreciate. Wendigoon is a great addition and it'd be nice to keep him in the official family. If the format requires a third chair rotate people in when applicable to the topic.

galileeo

that would be criminally stupid

galileeo

wait what episode of cs was andrew on??

galileeo

incredible idea

P4NG0L1N

First off I really appreciate the level of effort you have single-handedly gone through to put stuff out for the red thread, in spite of people being unavailable. You are the GOAT. I agree with what a lot of people are saying: you and Wendi with rotating guests. Kira is an obvious no-brainer, everyone loves her. I think Andrew would be great for many episodes given his specific knowledge on many things. (to be fair I wanna see more of Andrew in everything. That dude’s an absolute delight.) Jordy‘s was a really good fit for the MLK episode, it was interesting to hear it from a non-American perspective, and especially given his experience with government persecution (though for some reason that episode really triggered my ADHD like no other, it felt kind of disjointed) I also would like to see more fun conspiracy/cryptid like episodes. For example, you could easily do an episode on the Cryptid that’s basically Sasquatch but he tickles you until you speak Spanish. Fluently. Can’t think of the name on that one, Wendi would know. I heard about it on one of his shows.

quixx

The episode with your fiance was very good i think it would be cool to bring her back

Simon

I would love to see Kaya as a third host. The journalist guy was fun but not for every episode

Marshall

the one he dropped just before holidays

Marshall

blud said Jason 💀

Gage

Keira all time host

Jordan Smith

know im a little late to the post but def bring keira on as a formal host if shes down. was a great episode listening to you guys. honestly if it was just you two i would still listen. great chemistry and fun vibe v nice to listen to

Jordan Smith

and i will say i really enjoyed friendlyjordis as well you guys had a great episode together

Jenny

I think the format of the show needs a revamp. Reading from a document verbatim makes it seem a bit like a presentation which I find quite dull, especially if I’m uninterested in the topic. I also think it’s unfair that Jackson always comes prepared while the other hosts do a live react to the topic. It comes across like they’re not putting any effort into it at all or don’t really care to. I think it would be interesting if you chose a controversial event or happening for the episode, and let each of the hosts do their own research in their own time and chose a theory they find the most plausible and debate/discuss why/why not. Might not be the best idea but I definitely feel like the blind react to the document needs to end, there’s no excuse to come unprepared. Especially not for Wendigoon who does extensive research for his other projects.

Slam

I definitely think Kaya would be a hilarious choice as a host for the show especially with how well you both get along already

theofficialpodcast

This is the one piece of feedback I've mostly agreed with for a long-time. I would love to get the document to a place where it's more bullet-point than script but it's borderline impossible and unfair to expect Isaiah, and previously Caleb and Charlie, to research a topic within a week before each episdoe to the point where they'd have a completely educated perspective on the topic and this goes back to the reason Caleb is leaving. They're just REALLY busy people. They're barely able to find enough time just for the 2 hours of recording each week, fairly so, given their schedules so to expect them to be able to find an additional 10 hours is just impossible at the moment. But I'd love to find a solution for this long-term as I agree with you 100% and it's how I've felt since the very beginning of the show, the script is good if we can interject enough into it so its not just reading but when the information does get dense (and serious), it's harder to break in and make the script our own. I'd love to be able to get to the point where we have the information and are able to just talk about it. I think the solution is to find a 3rd host who has more free time to look into the topics and research them before the episode each week so that at least 2 of us are "in the know" while the 3rd person is more of an audience stand-in and can ask natural questions about the topic they're unfamiliar with. But, yes, this is the main "thing" I was referring to when I said I'd like to reformat the show long-term and it doesn't matter the reason behind why the problem exists in the first place, if it impacts audience enjoyment, I would like to change it. -J

droog93

i want to see Kaya on the show! Jackson & Kaya have great chemistry no matter what they are talking about imo

Zero

Kaya should come on as the 3rd seat

Māsōn

I have an idea for a Red Thread episode if you wouldn’t mind checking it out. Even though Squid Game isn’t trending at the moment, I think you should look into the “Brothers House” incident from 1986 in Korea. The creator of Squid Game has said that the show was not inspired by it, but the similarities make people think otherwise. The “Brothers House” incident is also known as the “Brothers Society” or “Brothers House” scandal, which took place in the mid-1980s in South Korea. Took place in a mansion that was owned by a billionaire and the mansion was designed in a way that many people have compared to the set designs of Squid Game, and the people involved were allegedly subjected to abusive treatment, forced labor, and exploitation. The exact details are still murky, and many of the reports surrounding the incident are fragmented or have not been fully verified, making it an incredibly difficult topic to research. It involved a controversial “orphanage”and alleged human trafficking activities linked to a network that exploited young girls. Some theories suggest that the scandal was part of a larger, underground network of human trafficking and criminal enterprises, though this remains speculative due to the lack of concrete evidence. Again this is speculation but in my research I’ve seen “reports” of 200,000 young girls trafficked from Korea and transported all over the globe. The similarities between the fictional events in Squid Game and the alleged real-life events in this incident have led to much speculation about the creator’s possible inspiration, though there’s no official confirmation on the connection. This topic could certainly be a fascinating and would love to see you guys cover it in an episode!

Philip Basin

Yall know the answer, bring back Charlie! 🥺

Ryan Ferguson

Jackson I love the show and have watched every episode of the official podcast and red thread! You need to get a better quality camera tho! It's like we're seeing you in 480p, especially compared to friendly jordies in the most recent episode lol

Frantastic

For a cult episode especially

Jenny

I’d want to stress that I really appreaciate all the hard work you put in to all the podcast, Jackson. It really shows. I think you need a co-host who is willing to put in at least half if not the same amount of effort and enthusiasm as you do. I understand Wendigoon/Caleb are busy and 10 hours of research is a big ask, but adding at least 30 mins/1 hour of skimming through the pre-prepared document before the show should be a bare minimum so they at least have some idea of the topic at hand. I have a feeling Isaiah maybe does this but Caleb and Charlie surely didn’t. This is just my opinion though, others may enjoy the hosts finding out about the topic along with the audience. In that case I think everybody should avoid reading the document before the show so nobody is prepared. That might actually be a fun idea, given that your fiancé or another third party alone does the all the research. Either way, I understand it’s challenging to change the format when the topics you discuss require a lot preparation and research and I appreaciate that you’re working towards improving the show. I look forward to see what you come up with! And thank you for keeping me company during my boring household chores! /Daniella
