After 5 ovas we are finally done and then onto Season 2 next!! Was a bit of a long slog during some of these but I am just an impatient boy wanting more titan fights and basement lore :)

Season 2 coming sunday as usual and will be interesting to see how much gets crammed into a short season

Was a fairly interesting backstory for Levi, particularly setting up his connection to Erwin. I almost feel like it's as much a backstory to Erwin as Levi in a way. Erwin is one clever man and Levi is one scary skilled man, perfect combo really. These two OVAs and the first one were clearly the best of the lot but none of them were super bad, just not really what are necessarily looking for with this show lol

Don't forget Seb, after S1 came out in 2013, us anime-onlys had to wait 4 years for S2 so having the OVAs was nice bonus content for people who couldn't commit to or afford manga. I get how watching these, with all the questions you have, could be frustrating as it's not a direct advancement of the plot but I see you've made your way a fair bit through S2 now and can probably see that they were trying to highlight characters that would become more important in arcs to come :)
