I loved Florence Pugh as Yelena so much!! Talking about conveying emotions, plus she’s hilarious!😭😂

Yelena Belova could punch me in the face and I’d say thank you 🤷🏻‍♂️😮‍💨😂

I love spy thrillers, so this one was right up my alley. Not as flashy as other MCU entries, but still solid in my book. Yelena as a “Black Widow” is a very different vibe than ScarJo but a welcome addition to the MCU 👌🏽

Seb, with how many of these movies have you watched, you still can't suspend your disbelief with these characters surviving stupid injuries? :P They've all got superhuman durability lol

jim lillis

Yelena was hands down the best part of the movie.

Davide

You have exactly enough time to watch everything, including The Incredible Hulk and No Way Home (assuming it comes out in time) before the next Marvel show starts airing.

Seb, they're releasing Spider-Man on February 28-29 on Disney+))

I enjoyed this film, was definitely a bit silly and bit odd for a Marvel film but I would think that was the intention. For some reason I thought this film was going to be way more about her childhood, I guess we got a bit though. Felt like more backstory for Yelena but if she is going to be a recurring character then that makes sense. I really liked Yelena, was my favourite character in this I think. The Taskmaster was pretty cool as a adversary. I think the amount of hits Natasha took in this film and looked fine, I'm wondering if she thought she could survive falling in Endgame 😂 (sorry!). I thought this film was just a bit of fun though, certainly not top tier Marvel but that's ok. Also don't forget about Captain Marvel being the first female solo MCU film 😉 Yeh X-Men, Fantastic 4, maybe the old Blade films since that is apparently coming soon to the MCU, second Venom film, might all be good to know before if the multiverse is truly mad. Chris Evans cameo as Cap and Human Torch is the dream lol

In the comics, Black Widow has a version of the Super Soldier Serum in her. All the Widows do. It was administers during the graduation where they took out their reproductive organs. Her version of the serum gives her slightly more strength, speed, and durability. She can heal faster than normal humans, she is immune to toxins and poisons, and ages slower than normal people. I thought it would be addressed in the movie and thats hows she's able to get thrown around and recover quickly but they did not mention it.

What If...? has 9 episodes and doing 3 fits the length you like to have per week. It was actually going to have 10, but covid delays meant they had to cut it down by 1.

Jo

Disney and Sony making a deal to put it on Disney+ is only a rumour currently

Clint referenced Budapest twice, once during the Battle of New York in the first Avengers movie, and the second time when he and Natasha were on their way to Vormir in Avengers: Endgame. Also, Loki referenced Dreykov's daughter while they had him locked up on the helicarrier in the first Avengers movie.

Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova is the best thing to happen to the MCU. She's great, I love her! She stole the spotlight in this film.

There are 4 Disney+ series coming this year, Moonknight, Ms Marvel, Secret Invasion and She-Hulk! Moonknight comes out in March. Captain Marvel and BW are the only female solo films from Marvel so far. The movies for this year are Doctor Strange 2, Thor Love and Thunder, Black Panther WF.

This is a fun movie, not the best but I don’t think it needed to be. I wish we had gotten it years ago, but now we have Florence Pugh as Yelena and she was honestly the best part of the film. I’m excited to see what they have planned for her in the future of the MCU.

Davide

I'm going to need a lot more Yelena, including her interacting with...well, there's a long list.

do you plan on watching Venom let there be carnage?

Michael

This film for me definitely missed the mark, too many silly moments. I think marvel went too "marvel" here and made funny a topic that could have been very dark, sadly a missed opportunity to show off her acting abilities. Still, it introduces us to Yelena who I loved. It's worth pointing out, this film was suppose to come out at the start of covid, so the introduction of Val should have happened here before the winter solder. That whistle at the end and not hearing it back, kills me everytime. Instant floods of tears.

Old Blade is less likely (They're making a new one with Ali though), but I would be so hyped to see it. Or better yet, Wesley Snipes as an alternate universe old grizzled T'Challa. Snipes always wanted to be Black Panther but never got the chance because he was "too old" by the time we got Chadwick. But from an alternate universe? Old Man T'Challa?

Kristen Stearn

Black Widow is the first female avenger that we were introduced to, and for me sets such a high standard for “girl power”, everyone else had powers or science & intelligence, where Nat is just a woman and didn’t need all the rest to be counted as an official Avenger, she will always be one of my favourites just being able to see her growing up in Avengers fight side by side with a God, Cap, Iron Man, Hawkeye & Hulk. She deserved a movie before she died & certainly a better ending but she was always a hero at heart. Plus she also manipulated the God of Mischief into revealing his plan so she’s just awesome!

trying no to say anything but definitely watch venom 2 before No way home it doesnt need to be a part of the weekly marvel since its not mcu but i recommend you watch it

Tori Jeri

Without giving anything away, I’d definitely recommend to watch some daredevil before Hawkeye and spiderman NWH.

Connor Ellis

You should watch ALL the Spider-Man films and a bit of the Netflix Daredevil before No Way Home and Hawkeye

Kaly

I reaally enjoyed the first half an hour because i was really curious about her past and origin story! (chills in the intro with smells like teen spirit playing) overall not one my fav mcu movie but Florence Pugh is amazing

Jasmine Lambert

the part about the pheromonal lock is surprisingly comic accurate as crazy as it sounds! i love this movie so much purely because its nat and also introduces yelena but it's so bittersweet that it wasn't released earlier. can't wait for your hawkeye reactions now it's my favourite mcu disney+ series!

Colleen T McClintock

If they ever give us Bucky, Yelena, Sam interaction I will pass out.

Shelby Waters

as far as whether this movie is really a necessary watch, i would say yes just because of the sheer fact that she’s a part of the OG 6. when i did a rewatch with my bf, we actually watched black widow after civil war but skipped the post credits bc it makes endgame that much more impactful.

Kristin Baylor

You’ve probably already sorted this out but - As far as the events of this movie never being discussed - we did get a taste of her Red Room experience in Age of Ultron when she got a “Wanda vision” 😆 . Also she looks like she’s headed straight to Infinity War at the end of the film, so there was no time for chit chat about the Red Room coming down. And right after that half the population disappeared so, yeah. :) Also- anything Florence Pugh is in is 10/10 by default 😂 So glad she’s in the MCU! If you’re interested in more of Florence kicking ass, you can watch “Fighting with my Family” where she plays a champion WWE wrestler!

Kevin

Not sure what I can say without spoiling Hawkeye LOL

Kevin

#1 Reason to watch the movie: Florence Pugh

Elsa B

It annoys me that we didn't get this movie until after she died and also I'm still annoyed that she actually died in the first place but super happy that we got this film ❤️ we needed her back story and it sets up Yelena well. Glad you liked the film!

Samuel

You should watch the movie Lucy that ScarJo starred in, also has Morgan Freeman and Euron Greyjoy from GoT xD Pretty interesting movie and cool action as well - I think you'd enjoy it :)
