Dusty Crossroad, Expert (Patreon)

This week's map is the Dusty Crossroad (40x40), a large map depicting a path through a patchy and rocky desert, the kind of place where travelers might be stalked by vicious predators, ambushed by bandits camouflaged into the rocks, or surprised by a rattlesnake hiding under the brush.

Your alternate variants of this map include a lovely Sandstorm version as well as one I'm calling Bleak! The Sandstorm one is definitely my personal favorite sandstorm variant I've ever made, I think it perfectly captures the vibe I was aiming for while still being easy to parse. The Bleak one is a little different, for this one I was imagining a more dreamlike desert landscape, with rolling purplish clouds overhead and pale clouds of sand blowing by on the horizon. I feel this one depicts an alien or extra-planar desert rather than one you'd find in your own world. I hope you like it and get an opportunity to use it, I think it's a fun concept!
