Sometimes I'm browsing comments and thinking of the absolute dumbest shit I could say in reply to people, and sometimes I think the things I think to say are so stupid that I should do a video of them. Sometimes, I actually do it. Well, here we are. I wasn't sure who I wanted for this one. It's a bit unusual but you can actually listen to all the other characters this time. Usually I know which character I'm going with by the time I record for something, so this doesn't happen a lot where you can hear the same post in other character voices. Heheh, hey look, the Patreon reward is actually almost cool for once!I at first thought just like, generic redneck or probably generic cowboy, although I feel I've been overusing that lately in the shitposts. Then I thought of Redneck Rampage, as I often do. I assumed Leonard but while I was recording I also thought Bubba might work so I recorded for him too. I also thought of Engineer, because it would work for him. I knew that he'd be a much more popular character to do it for - that doing it with Engineer would probably like net more views or whatever. Especially compared to, lmao, Redneck Rampage. But I never make choices based purely on what will net the most views - again, the channel isn't even monetized with ads or whatever, just this Patreon, which is already plenty funded.And I knew it had been way too god damn long since I've done a Redneck Rampage post. I'm always thinking about what I could do with them, but it's just seldom I find a good spot to put them. But after recording all the options and listening through them and considering what to go with, I really felt like I could do the most and have the most fun with Redneck Rampage, and I felt like my VO for Bubba in particular was the most fun sounding AND I think I've never Bubbaposted before (well except for Bubba Ho-Tep greatest movie), so I got to work with the Bubba approach. Anyway I'm really, REALLY satisfied with this choice, as once I got my hands in on this one with Redneck Rampage I kept thinking of dumb stuff I could add to the video to make it more fun.I definitely worked a little too hard, violated my own policy a lil for this one, but not TOO too hard. Sometimes it's nice to let myself do too much on something, though I'm trying to do that less often. Too much effort lately, I don't want to be out here establishing a rep for HIGH effort shitposting, I could never live with raised standards. I really want to do more shitposts that are like, absolute minimal effort. But eh, you know, if fun stuff comes to mind and I think I can pull it off and I like it, then more often than not, I'm gonna try to go for it. I feature creep the shit out of these. Not always, but more often than I tell myself I will. Ah well, at least when it happens, some folks do appreciate it. But know that it IS basically an elaborate accident when there's a lot of effort in a shitpost from me.By the way, if you play Redneck Rampage, make sure to use a sourceport. I go with BuildGDX but you can use whatever version or whatever you want, Civvie mentioned a different one he used in his Redneck Rampage video but I forget which one it was.
