Main Branch, Oppai Club

–Magdaran Bael–

“So,” he led the question this time, “This is the second time we are meeting here. Coincidence, I think not?”

She looked thoughtful at his line of questioning before replying, “Well, I have been a member of this club for over 5 years now. 2 years since I gained access to this branch, and ever since then, every time I feel like I have lost motivation, I come here and find all sorts of things.”

“Oh? I would have assumed you did your research here.”

She shrugged, “Well, I can’t do anything directly here, as it goes against the Club’s rules, but Mephisto got me this membership for a reason. Just sitting here all day and observing people come in and out is more than enough data.”

“And what have you learned of me?”

He expected some generic answer, as the extent of her data on him must be whatever was available in the public forum, whatever her sources managed to scrounge up for her, and his very brief visits outside the booth here, with the main one being when he tried to stop Thor, tried being the operative word there.

“That you’re scared of something.”

The moment she finished her sentence, he averted his eyes to look at the smoothie he no longer felt like drinking now. The single sentence changed the mood entirely, bringing his mind back to the hard realisation that he’d come to after years of thinking that nothing was wrong.

That he was a coward, that he was scared of everything. That despite his powers, he was not able to accomplish most of his goals, that he was chasing some unattainable goal, because it was much easier to push everything to later than risking something in the present. It was a sobering thought, as he looked up at her with a smile on his face, unfazed by her accurate analysis.

Shrugging, he gulped down the rest of his smoothie in one gulp before ordering the next drink, which was something strong, “Well, you got me. I am scared of many things actually. Too many to count. It must seem strange that I am scared of stuff, with all my power but it is true. Still!” here, he smiled at her and gulped down the large glass of alcohol down in one gulp, feeling the burn in the back of his throat before continuing,

“Things are improving a lot. Soon enough, I can say that I am not running from something.”

In the wake of his declaration, which was definitely cringey in hindsight, there was silence in the booth before she broke it.

“Fine.”

He looked at that absurdly low effort reply in confusion, but before he could give her a piece of his mind, he paused as he received a message from Odin.

“Just a moment,” he told Mia as his eyes glazed over, reading the message instantly. He tapped the table as the glasses disappeared, looking at Mia with an apologetic smile on his face, “I am sorry, but I have to leave. Urgent matters. I will see you again.”

She tilted her drink towards him, “See you around. I still have some of my theories in my noggin, if you are interested.”

“Sure,” He waved at her as he walked out of the Booth and into the lower levels, where Odin had his office, or rather, there was a office that Odin commanded here. After all, he refused to believe that someone like Odin would have an office that was spartan.

There should have been at least a single gold themed item in that place, but it was the same drab office with all white or neutral coloring, and no patterns whatsoever, with generic chairs, sofa, and tables.

Or, at least that’s what he’d hoped to see this time when he pushed the door open, only to come face to face with a literal pole dancer, with a giant golden glittering pole plonked right in the middle of where the office should have been, with Odin sitting alone in the circular sofa seating, leaning back and enjoying the show.

“Um,” he looked at the scenery in front of him, one foot in the air, ready to take the step in, only to slowly put it back down, trying to close the door but the damned thing refused to budge even when he pulled with such strength that the handle itself should have come out, “I’ll come back later, okaaaaay!”

He didn’t yelp, but it was a very close thing as he was pulled into the booth, deposited on the other side of Odin, the door’s closing thud echoing in the room before the woman was suddenly right in his face. He tried to retreat as much as he could, but the sofa was in the way, and with Odin seemingly doing all he could to keep Magdaran here, he couldn’t move out of the way.

The woman was quite flexible as well, as she was able to maintain contact with the pole as her backside inched ever so closer to his face.

He wasn’t even able to muster up his power, as Odin was bound to do something, plus he didn't want to hurt the poor dancer for doing as she was told, by a God King no less. At the last moment, the woman pulled back and got off the pole before giving Odin a lap dance.

He was suddenly very uncomfortable with the whole scenery, even more so than before. It was one thing to see a Pole Dancer, but to see a man being given a lapdance in real time? Well, that was just nasty, in his opinion, especially since Odin’s grin had a lecherous tint to it.

…..Odin’s image really fell in his eyes, and continued to fall in real time as time went on.

He had really forgotten that Odin in this universe was really just a well adjusted, less controversial version of Zeus, in terms of being a horndog at the very least. So far, he hadn't had the misfortune of meeting that version of Odin, as most of their conversations had been really easy going or serious, with not much in the way of leisure talk, but this?

This was a whole new side of Odin, and he was not sure if he wanted to share this space with a Man who was centuries his senior, with all the horniness of a teenager new to puberty with all the access to willing women in the world, because that’s what this was.

This was not a Zeus-esque situation, as that man was an entirely different kind of horndog. As far as he knew, and he didn’t know much about the Norse since they were very much isolationist, Odin was a pervert, but he was no rapist. Why would he? When he could have any woman he could want, outside of some specific outliers.

Just as he was about to contemplate using his conceptual powers to at least try and get out of the magical headlock Odin had put him in, to get out of here, Odin’s “Alright!” rang out in the space before the space in front of him blurred. When it cleared, he was not sitting on that sofa, but in a chair, looking at Odin, who was sitting on a larger chair behind the table.

His neck on a swivel, he looked all around the room, finding no trace of the strip club vibe Odin had created for himself, and was back in the drab office space he had previously found boring. But now? Now, he was somehow, against all odds, glad that he was back in this office space.

“You need to learn how to relax a little, brat,” Odin said gruffly, seemingly irritated about being disturbed in his pole dance session, despite the God calling on him in the first place!

“Well, you could have called me later on, or just sent a message if you were so busy. I would have been perfectly fine without that mental image in my mind. Ew,” he shot back at the God, who only smiled in response.

“You haven’t seen a thing, brat. Be glad you haven’t yet been invited to one of my parties.”

He shuddered in response at the mental image created of orgies and more.

He knew that he should not react like that to sex, but somewhere along the way, he never stopped to think about why he had never developed the appropriate responses to advances from the fairer sex. In the first place, he was older than his physical age, which should have muted the tendencies associated with puberty, something that arrived much earlier in Devil kids, but after some retrospection, he was able to conclude that he’d become asexual, atleast temporarily.

Yet another sign of all the mental damage that was not immediately visible on the surface.

“Please, as if I would attend them, even if I was invited.”

Odin then leaned forward, the light in the room dimming out of nowhere, as the God’s eyes shone with an unholy light, “Brat, if I truly invited you, you would have no say in the matter.”

Literal chills went down his spine at the statement, as he looked at the god with trepidation, and this time, not just because of his overwhelming power.

He said hurriedly, to just get away from this topic, “You called me here for a reason, I hope?”

Odin looked at him with that smile on his face before he leaned back in his chair, the light in the office returning to normal as the God snapped his fingers, summoning a series of papers on the table.

He picked the three documents one by one.

Odin pointed at them, “The first one is the location where you have to get the Garden. Give that to the Satan Brats. The second is the location where you will take the Garden. The third one is where it will actually be placed permanently, according to your preferences. I will do the final teleportation myself.”

He looked up at the God in surprise. Odin had thought this out pretty well. Far better than he had. A three step process removed most of the risks associated with the Satans finding out the location of his Garden. Odin was also doing the final teleportation himself to—

Odin rolled his eyes at him, “Don’t celebrate just yet. I am not doing this for free. In exchange for this, I will need extensive testing of your healing ability, and once that is done, three no questions asked healing sessions.”

He thought about the conditions, finding nothing suspicious before he nodded, but not before adding, “As long as it does not put me in harm's way. Like, I won’t heal people completely if it drains me and puts me in a vulnerable position.

Odin nodded, “Done.”

He paused there, looking at the God to do something. When nothing happened, he prompted Odin, “Well?”

“Well what?”

“Well, aren’t you going to do a magical binding here?”

Odin looked at him, then chuckled before replying, “I don’t believe that will be necessary. Now,” He then snapped his fingers, the scenery in front of him blurring once more.

Oh no, echoed in his mind as he found himself back in the same position as before, with a different woman this time, doing quite the acrobatic stunts with the golden pole situated in the middle of the room.

When he didn’t move, Odin tilted his neck to look straight at him. “What are you waiting for, brat? I thought you wanted to leave?”

With a jolt, he realised that he could move, so he did just that and scrambled out of the personal strip club of Odin.

Which he could have done in 10 chapters when he stopped having a weird obsession with the garden

Hi! I am sorry you feel that way and I agree that it has been slow. I kind of write that way, which is why I have specified that in the tags in my story. Even so, your criticism is valid, so I would suggest watching the chapter updates for the next two weeks or so because I am going to accelerate the plot movement as much as I can.

Also, the obsession with his garden is WEIRD because he is a big WEIRDO. It is written that way.
