Tara summed Eugene up perfectly in Season 5, when they found out he lied. "He wasn't strong. He isn't fast. He doesn't know how to use a weapon. The truth hurts, but he was useless. He had one skill that kept him living. We're supposed to be mad at him because he used it?". He's a coward and his actions have hurt other people, but like you said, he's adapting to his surroundings and keeping himself alive.

Tara with the governor isnt really comparable to Dwight and the saviors though. remember the governor lied to her and her family + community and told them that rick and the people at the prison were evil and attacked for no reason. and when it all came down to it tara didn’t kill anyone or do anything evil to show loyalty to him. dwight did a lot of messed up stuff and she is valid tbh he deserved to die for his contribution to denise and what he did to daryl too. like my only issue is that tara needed to think about the bigger picture in these moments bc there are bigger priorities.

That’s literally what I said. I understand why Tara was acting that way. It’s just we needed to get people to safety. She could have waited if she really needed to kill him. I do really care about Dwight honestly. I just felt like Tara should have waited for a different moment for all of that. I agree with Rosita on that one.

yeah exactly i feel like that is a common theme with rick’s group. it’s like they aren’t WRONG but they are too in the moment and impulsive and forget about the end goal.

one thing i don’t like about this season is that it doesn’t seem like the other main characters (maggie, carol, daryl, rosita, tara etc) don’t seem as affected by carls death. like they seem sad but i don’t think anyone cried besides enid and ofc michonne and rick

I had the same thought. Because at first, when Tara said “ you can’t just switch sides and make everything OK” I was like “girl….didnt you do that?” but it’s really not the same because she never killed anyone unlike Dwight.
