A few weeks ago someone began making unauthorized charges on Lj's credit card. We shut it down, she got a new one, all charges were reversed. Annoying and time-consuming, but... fine.

Woke up to no water today. We suddenly feared it had been shut off because the bill bounced since it was autopay on her own card. We called and discovered no, the water was off because a main broke and it'd be fixed in 8 to 10 hours. Annoying and time-consuming but... fine.

And we updated our payment info while we were there.

So, we went without water the whole day and worked around it with alternatives. Annoying and time-consuming but... fine.

Now we HAVE water... but it's gray. Like, literally gray in color.

I suspect this is going to be annoying and time-consuming to fix.

But... fine.

I was going to say "they wouldn't cut your water off for one missed payment", but then I remembered that you live in the USA. I hope your water is already back to being clear and colorless.

They should provide alternative water source if it's undrinkable.

It's all a tap dance on one's genitals. If you were made to pick, getting water for indoor sanitation is much more labor intensive than going out to load up on drinking water. Somewhere someone has a voodoo advent calendar. It was your day.
