Filling the Gap (Blog) (Patreon)

Hey guys, back into this past week. Been feeling good about the projects I've been working on, next week's Top 10 and thinking about further plans for later in the year.

I Regret to Inform You...) I may have been on the fence last week about whether or not I'd be able to get this second major project out this year. Well in the time since, I've decided to CANCEL IT!

I'm really sorry that I've hyped it up but I just ran out of time. 5-6 videos shot on locations with props, various character costumes, set design and all that just isn't gonna happen unfortunately. However, I'll treat the pre-production as a side project throughout the year to make sure this project gets done in time for 2019! I am sad it's not happening this year, it's a something really close to home for me personally and I had family and friends on board to contribute. The rough run I've had burning into the atmosphere of 2018 just fucked me on it and now that I've finally been able to reset myself, it's time to dust off and move on.

Filling the Gap) Since this has been postponed, I need to find something new to have up in the meantime. The original idea was that I'd start slow, have this project take the channel through until June, maybe July, then start work on the end of year games: Spyro, Hawktober, etc. Since I've got a few months empty, I need to figure out some other series to cover in the meantime. And again, preferably something a bit bigger that requires a bit more work than usual, just for myself. I put my best work out under that extra pressure and if I just pottered about doing the same old thing, I'll drive myself insane. So we'll see what happens there. I've got a few ideas for one-off reviews but I need a series.

Closing Thoughts) I think for the next review, since I need something up, it might be a "back to basics" kind of episode. Nothing crazy, just to reset the workload a bit. I've got a Making-of video for Legends of WrestleMania waiting to be recorded. I wanted it up this week but it's not gonna happen, I'm prioritizing main content over that stuff for the moment. Testing is going good, I've got a few episodes ready for editing and plenty more to come of course (we haven't even made it to that giant box yet, Christ).

Overall, as upset as I am over this bigger project going on the shelf, I've got enough other things I want to do that I'm keen and finally focused on getting those done!
