A Creature in the Lake... (Blog) (Patreon)

Hey guys! Check out this shot from next week's review. Filmed this today and I'm really happy with how it looks. It's been a long, productive day which was supposed to continue into the night... buuuuut it's been a productive day so fuck it. Night off!

Reviews) I'm working hard on this upcoming series review. What started off as just a normal, standard, by the book series review has since spiraled into an epic story of the creature in the lake who enjoys to taunt Square Eyed Jak. The videos are still fairly simple, yet there is also an over arcing story across the series that is both self-contained AND referential to past videos. There are still some parts I'm unsure of but I enjoy making it up as I go along. The Sly trilogy didn't have an ending until the second episode was in production.

I'm hoping that I'll have 2 videos back to back, with a week or two break, then 2 more videos back to back. This is dependent on whether or not I can get specific items, props and all that here in time. Some things have been ordered online so, hopefully I'm not a victim of the postal service here in Australia.

Games) MAN I hate playing video games. I've had some trouble with the second game of this series like nothing else. The second boss fight just refuses to load. All I get to see is an environment from a cutscene that is supposed to play... but no characters, dialogue, nothing. And trying to skip it just backs me out to the hub area. I've wasted a few hours instead of just skipping ahead and progressing trying to rectify the problem, but it's just left me with pissed off. I'm supposed to be playing the damn thing as I'm writing this but FUCK IT. I don't care today. Gonna play something else instead before I drive myself back up the fucking wall! o_0

Closing Thoughts) I'm glad to be back on track with reviews. Even though I'm not 100% back in the zone when it comes to things like writing, I've had the time to come back and improve things before shooting. While some of the things I'd like to do in these upcoming videos are completely mental, absurd things, I think they'll definitely make the videos entertaining and something a bit more abstract than a lot of things I've done before which is really important. I don't know how so many of these channels have stayed alive without changing much. It gets boring, both as a viewer and as the person making the videos which is why I'm always up for a challenge and making a gamble on something different.
