Well the cat is out of the bag (it's not actually. Once found a bag full of dead cats at the bottom of that lake in this week's review, true story) on CROC! I'm glad the video was well received by everyone, cheers!

Well that was a morbid way to start this) Sorry... that moment in time just stuck in my head.

FINAL CALL on QUESTIONS & TOPICS FOR THE PODCAST: PLEASE, leave some questions and discussion topics for myself and Cal with a comment down below. We'll be recording the May episode of the podcast hopefully within the next week!

Croc Series Review) With one episode live, we've got 3 more to go. Today I'll be spending my time writing the script for Croc 2. Originally I wanted that video to go up next week but I didn't get certain things done in time and fell behind. The current plan is NO VIDEO at the end of this week, instead Friday's Testing Episode will be up next week in place of a review. Looking at that and my timeline for getting Croc 2 done, I'm not sure how Early Access will go on that video as it's not edited yet and I'm hoping to spend the latter part of this week shooting the next review. Early days yet, just a heads up though.

When I'm not writing, shooting or editing, I've started working through more Croc games of a night so that by the time Croc 2 is shot, I'll be immediately ready to write the next one and keep the ball rolling a bit more than I have been.

Distractions) It's well documented at this point, it's been a rough year so far behind the scenes trying to keep up with everything. I'm normally excellent at time management but it's just not worked this year... and I think I finally understand the problem. 2017 was amazing, the lineup of content was perfect. The only thing I'd change if I could was some more secondary stuff, testing episodes, collecting and game room stuff etc. at 2 videos per week. I just didn't have much to say on those topics last year. What I think the problem has been in 2018, I've had so many games I've wanted to test and a lot of game room related content I've wanted to make, that I'm actually in over my head in getting that stuff done, ultimately distracting myself from making reviews.

Perfect example of this is something that happened only yesterday. I know I'm behind on Croc 2 but I don't have anything for next Tuesday. I spent yesterday morning writing a video to fill the void until I realized... fuck that, just fill the gap with a video that's already shot, waiting to be edited and forget about the Friday video. SO I essentially wasted a morning writing a video instead of writing the video I needed to get done because I was trying to fill a hole left by that video being done because I've spent too much time focusing on videos that aren't the video that needed to be done... *deep breath*

So yeah, that's possibly the cause of me being unable to get ahead of myself this year. Last year, I was so on the ball, I had a month's worth of content pre-made so that i could work on Hawktober seamlessly without anyone realizing it. This year I've struggled to get a shitting Thomas the Tank Engine video done!

Closing Thoughts) Moving forward, I'm going to strictly keep an eye on myself for doing this, now that I can clearly see the cause of all this madness. Hopefully keeping myself in check and making sure I only work on secondary stuff if my main content is running on time, should ultimately help that flow smoother so that I'll have extra time on that secondary stuff. I mean back in 2015, I'd have 2-3 videos per week on average no issues but things have grown far more complicated and time consuming since then, even if they don't seem it. BUT, I'm glad I'm on top of it now. Croc is my TOP PRIORITY for the rest of May. So on that note, thank you for reading and as always, I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers guys! :D

It sounds like you perhaps need other stuff to quickly fall back on. Don't get me wrong, the Game Testing videos are great (compared to unboxing videos, where people just show the item, so boring), but have something similar to the Square Eye Quickies. The other suggestion is to plan what you do and be prepared to shuffle things around. Podcast Question: With the latest Call of Duty rumored to have no single player content, what's your view of modern games focusing only on multi-player experiences?

SquareEyedJak

I mean I have no issue having nothing up if I can't help it, the problem is just the time it takes to get everything done. The problem with having stuff to fall back on or having some videos made just in case I might need them, they quickly become out of date or with things like shorties, that time could still be better spent working on reviews. That's one of the reasons I cancelled Shorties; most of the topics were far to niche or "controversial" as some would say (clickbait, they just devolved into clickbait) and talking about any games, I may have as well just reviewed them. So yeah, it's just trying to juggle with 20 different objects.

I'll repeat my question that I posted on an older post, just to be sure: ''A bit of a late question. But what do you think about Anime? Do you watch any? If yes, what are your favourites? (Although I'm guessing neither of you watch it.)'' Also WTF a bag of dead cats just casually in the lake?!

Jake Ogden

Oh well. Your content is great on the channel anyways. Peace out, bro!

Hey Jak! Would you be willing to talk about your favorite gaming genre during your next podcast as well as why it is your favorite in general? Also, would you be willing to review "The Legend of Dragoon?" It's a classic Playstation 1 RPG that has a enjoyable plotline and combat that makes you feel about the characters you decide to play with. Also maybe Bomberman Hero? (Which is on the Nintendo 64.) And my girlfriend would like to request the original Tomb Raider for the PS1. I hope one of these catches your eye!

SquareEyedJak

Hey mate, we've already recorded this month's episode but I'll save that question for next month. And while I'm not a big fan of RPGs or the N64, Tomb Raider is definitely something I have some plans for. I don't know when but eventually, we'll get there! :)

AlexTheFiery

Sweet! I'll have to come up with something else then, She'll be happy to hear this! Thanks Jak!
