Wow, it's been wild lately people. Nothing crazy but there has just been a lot of bouncing around. First things first: I was going to make an update on how I was feeling last week, with the ratio of main videos vs. testing content. I wrote the video, but halfway through recording it just decided nah. Figured the time would be better spent SHOWING the change and taking actions, rather than talking about them. So yeah, under the bridge, let's get fucking on with it!
LEAVE SOME QUESTIONS AND TOPICS FOR THE APRIL PODCAST WITH A COMMENT BELOW! Plan is to record the episode later this week so, drop us some discussions.

A New Found Appreciation for Simplicity) If there is one lesson to come out of 2019 so far (hell, I knew this was going to be the lesson BEFORE the year even started), it's that planning and trying to do a whole lot of big stuff is a lot of work on your own. Nothing new there, I've been saying all year that I've bitten off more than I can chew. This is why I decided that starting in 2020, I'll be taking a more lax, play things by ear approach to the schedule. Basically, I'll be doing my best to get back the roots of the channel, deciding what I want to work on next when I'm ready INSTEAD of filling my work load with a heap of crazy shit.
But what I've also come to appreciate and miss more recently, is some of the simpler series reviews previously done on the channel. Now don't worry, the bigger passion projects aren't going anywhere, because that's what I always wanted to do. But I do feel like the balance is off. And I've developed this weird idea in my head that "I need to do something cool, so that I won't regret NOT doing it later on." This is an idea that has spawned from my Jak and Daxter series review from 2015, as it's the one thing I wish I could do all over... and I might some day. Regardless, I think I'll also make an effort to get back into some less complicated series reviews in the future, so we can keep the flow going good and not get bogged down with 100 things at once.
Why would these changes would be important?) I've talked about it before, by the time I'm ready to start working on a big idea, a new one has already come along. PERFECT EXAMPLE: I recently had to pop in Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to get a quick bit of gameplay. Ended up playing for about 40 minutes and really fucking enjoyed it. SO... now I want to finally work on that series similar to Spyro back in 2016. But I can't until Episode 111 is done, until the 6-part series is done, until Hawktober is done, you get the idea. By the time I've ready, I'm already onto the next 3 things and I'm not super hot on it. So reverting back to some simpler episodes would help us get back to that, still with all the quality you've come to expect.
Crazy shit ≠ Quality!
It's definitely a lot of fun and like I said, it's what I always wanted to do. But we just need to get the balance sorted out, so I'm not starting each year 2 months behind schedule!
Upload Schedule) The script for Episode 111 has just been finalized earlier today, which is awesome. Very happy with it, a different video but a bit of fun. The hope is to get that filmed the next 2 days and smashed together in the cutting room ready for next week!
So here is how things are looking:
- April 16th - Episode 111
- April 19th - Game Testing (the video I cancelled last week)
- April 23rd - Room Tour, talking about the collection etc. in detail
- April 26th - Game Testing (last episode before a break)
Now beyond that, I'm not entirely sure as I'm ready to start getting busy on that 2+ hour long episode for the end of May or early June. But you might have noticed something with those dates... I only covered 2 weeks. YES, going back briefly to 2 videos per week just to get this testing shit over with. But also, it will hopefully help get the channel back in the algorithm's system to help bump numbers up a little bit. Things have been riding the edge on the lowest ever so, I'm doing my best to try and salvage it ready for these bigger projects.
I've said previously, reviews in May is totally up in the air due to these bigger projects. But I'm also not having testing either so if you get videos, it will be a Top 10 or maybe a review of some kind. Maybe even more room stuff, who knows.

Closing Thoughts) So that's where we're at with everything. Working hard, actually working hard for once. Getting this room somewhat under control has actually really improved my productivity the past week, but on top of that, I've been sleeping better as well. The light is at the end of the tunnel guys so until next week, thanks for reading and I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers!
