G'day legends, hope you're all doing well because we've hit a major milestone in the past week. I have to give a HUGE thank you to all of you for helping us surpass 100 total Patrons, HOLY SHIT! Thank you all so much people, that is absolutely insane!
Never when I was debating even launching this platform back in 2016 did I think we'd reach anything close to this, so it's been so powerfully motivating for me to see it continue growing through these last few years!

I'll get into that a bit more below but just a quick note: FINAL CALL for Podcast Questions for the September episode! Chances are given how busy I am that the episode will be a little later than normal but I do want to try and have it recorded ASAP! So drop some topics down below!

--------------------------------------

Original Patreon Goals) When I initially launched this thing was at the time when content was shifting towards more crazy stuff: Sly Cooper, Bad Wrestling Games and the first Hawktober. All projects that I couldn't really achieve on my own that Patreon was able to allow me the freedom to do. That continued with Croc and Ty of course, but that was where I was at with making this thing and we hit that goal incredibly quickly!
Obviously it's all dreaming big but one of my stretch goals was always to make this thing strong enough so that I could move out and gain as much freedom as I needed to create, though it always seemed unrealistic to hit the required numbers to hit that. Thankfully this year, Patreon combined with the channel performing significantly better than prior years somehow just found a perfect balance and... we actually made that happen. So seriously, thank you all so much. I can't say that enough! 😘

What Am I Working on Right Now?) So the next video to hit the channel will be the THPS Remake review as I want that as close to release as possible, just in the event Crash 4 royally fucks up the Hawktober schedule this year.

The thing is with that project though... well...

...I may or may not already be getting some ideas together! 😉

Upgrading Stuff) With the Crash 4 and THPS Warehouse demo videos, there was A LOT of discussion about the quality of my recording setup that extended beyond just the comment sections of those videos. Like my stuff sparked legit debate on whether or not these games would run at 60fps or whatever. I own a Slim PS4 which to my knowledge, caps at 30fps but in some cases can do 60fps. I don't have a great eye for it myself while playing but I'd say both of those were running at 60fps on my TV.
The problem is my capture card, the AverMedia LGP is old and can only record 60fps at 720p so for these videos, I decided to record at 1080p 30fps just so things looked nice... which unfortunately, the capture was slightly choppy BEFORE it hit YouTube, but actually appeared a lot worse on upload which really... REALLY sucked!

I should have ordered a new card the moment I realised that a few weeks ago but I didn't so I've been forced with a tough decision that means I'm actually restarting the current game I'm playing to record at 720p 60fps because I feel that the smoother framerate is far more important than resolution on this one, given it looks choppy as hell capped at 1080p 30fps. It sucks but the good news is that I've finally ordered a new capture card that can do 1080p 60fps which will be here in time for Crash 4 in October. Given I haven't been doing a lot of crazy projects that needed a budget or anything this year, I'll be dipping into the Patreon balance for that since this is gonna improve the quality of videos moving forward, but just thought it was important to let you all know! 🙂

--------------------------------------

Closing Thoughts) Anyway, that's all I'm really allowed to talk about right now... so just remember to drop some Q&A questions below for the podcast and until next time, I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers guys and thank so much again for over 100 Patrons!

Do you like using social media on a regular basis?? What are your opinions on the big social media websites? Favorite and least favorite??

Moon Spirit

Congrats on 100 patrons! Cheers! So now that you've reached to the destination you've gotten to, what's the next step?

Petronious

Easy way to test how games run is record a few seconds of gameplay for testing purposes, then edge the gameplay forward one frame at a time in a 60fps project, and see how often the frames advance. If it's 1:1, then csrruu on using 60fps!

I already thought you had over 100 patrons lol, well done anyway! Question for the podcast: What is your idiot's guide for someone interested in the media production industry and wanting to expand on their skills set?

Bört

Podcast question: Did you play any internet flash games growing up? If yes, which was your favourite?

Groke43

Are you going to start writing the Crash 4 review after you do everything in the game or immediately after you complete the story? If it is the latter, then will you come back to the game and get all the collectibles and do other stuff like playing through N.Verted mode and unlocking the Platinum Trophy??

Josh Bawelkiewicz

Congrats on 100! Glad to be part of the community.

Congratulations on reaching 100 patrons!!! I’m probably too late to get a couple of questions in but here goes. About how many pages is a general script for a standard review compared to an every level ranked? Are there any future ‘Every Level Ranked’ videos you have in the pipeline? Has there ever been a game that has put you in such a relaxed state that you can’t help but doze off playing it? For me it would have to be Viva Piñata, not a bad game but way too relaxing to play more than 10 minutes of. Is there a game genre that isn’t really your cup of tea that you would like to dive into someday? And if so, what are the games that stand out to you in said genre?
